is that with or without qualifying?:lol::lol:
I'll pay that one :D

Ran race C in the Ford, messed up and accidentally clicked "No refuel" in the pitstop, had to do a two stopper. P9>P10, still hitting track limit penalties. DR and SR up, had fun, tried to fudge my way out of the error with agressive short shifts and fuel mapping but just wasn't going to cut it. Error probably cost me 2 - 3 places since I was P4 up until first stop.
The Ford is great on tyres, likes to brake late & deep, is easy to trail brake and is surprisingly easy to manage throttle on corner exit. If you're the sort who likes no stop (and drives more smoothly than me) you could probably do pretty well in it. Edit: driving with TCS1 and brake balance at -2.

Edit 2: and a Demio for daily gift

Im pretty sure I’d be starting at the back either way.

i feel your pain. I did a few qualy laps last night at Spa - different cars - and now i can't even remember which i preferred. Managed something like a 2:20.7xx and then after that i was up by 0.9 and binned it wide on that downhill sweeper :banghead:

The most annoying part is getting a 0.5 sec penalty.. i normally prefer to just keep driving regardless of penalties to try and keep the momentum going, but on Spa you gotta do nearly 2 laps to get rid! I'm sure i've got a mid 2:19 in me somewhere (over the rainbow)

Spa is infuriating. Spent a good 45 mins chasing @Mistah_MCA's ghost in the 'Vette.

From the S/F line, I can stay within a couple tenths. Short shift up to sixth before the left at Eau Rouge, and the torque carries me down Kemmel with ease. Either pulling level with, or passing his R8 ghost.

From Bruxelles, to Campus, I lose a colossal 2 seconds. From Stavelot (where his ghost usually resets) I'm as fast as he is.

Lots of work to do. Mostly in figuring out braking/turn in points.

TLDR: I'm properly fast in the fast bits, and suck at the twisty bits.

I'm DR C and gaining DR on race C with a 2:22.5xx, I'm sure you could do pretty well at DR D with a 2:22 flat. Asia/Oceania region.
Going to expand my livery library...basic skins, but a signature colour scheme.
Bout the same in NA. My Q time is 22.9xx and other than a bad race yesterday, I have been gaining DR at race C. Lets see if I can keep it at DR C over a week.

I'm DR D and Advance about 5-7 spots in each race (unless I run into a real ****) With a Qt of 2:23:4x

@Kevstah2004 I missed you post. It's very common for children of alcoholics to be almost not drinking, since they saw up close what it can do to families. I am lucky to come from a long line of moderate drinkers, we drink alcohol but doesn't get drunk. And we don't drink around people who has a problem with alcohol. Good for you to rise above!

I think the Lambo is gonna be the one to get me into the 17s if anything. Done loads of laps in the Supra (chose it for Manufacturers so may as well get used to it!) and have my fastest optimal in that at 18.1, Audi has my fastest lap at 18.4 with an optimal of 18.3 but my optimal in the Lambo was faster than my optimal in the Audi after about 4 laps - which totally flies in the face of what I said last week when I found it undriveable in a lobby around Spa. I'm just incredibly inconsistent with it and something is telling me it can't take Eau Rouge flat, I keep ignoring that something though, trying again and picking up a 0.5s penalty!

Will try after the update, and grab the bull by the horns

Then get gored to death!

The Huracan is quick, for sure, but I cannot be consistent with it in quali and in a race it gets very lairy as the rubber goes off. I did 18.1 in the Audi with an opt. in the 17s. I'll see where that puts me after the update.

Ferrari 458, needs almost no work with fuel but is a bit tricky to drive and tyres need special care. For me it is the best car, I can do 18:44.xx without any problems. The nature of the race doesnt allow to go much faster than that though. I would say around 18:40 is the limit.
You have also Huracan, second best probably. Not enjoyable for tho, needs alot more fuel saving.
Porsche RSR is a safe and good car to use, but certainly not the best.

When you say "work with fuel" do you mean short-shifting or changing the FM. You were doing 2:19s in the race with the Porsche the other evening. Is that short-shifting, FM2 or something else please?

Man, I tried the Ferrari and just couldn't roll back into the throttle without ending up sideways. I just could not get a handle on that thing.

Welp, first race at Spa. Started P15/18 on a mix of DR/D and C with 4 Bs thrown in. It's looking to be mid 22s will get you above the mid pack. I started with the Viper. It seemed to like Spa, because the last few times I've tried it out during qualy, it's been too much of a handful to race.

Race start was as previously posted by others, at the chicane. Painful, because I had to hold back because the guys in front didn't seem to be able to negotiate it as well as me. I see what everyone means about the track limits. I did see a few people getting penalties, but generaly you can get away with murder. That astroturf really slows you down if you happen to go a bit wide!

I slowly potterd away around the track short shifting and keeping to tall gears. The Viper seemed to be happy cruising around the track in a shark like fashion. No stopper, and I did gain positions from the pitters... I also had to take evasive action a couple of times when they cam charging out of the pits with no regard for traffic coming through faster than they were. I politely let a couple of people pass because I couldn't be arsed defending.

I was in P10 with 2 laps to go when the tyres made it painfully clear they were no longer in their happy place. Looking at the wear indicator, a better driver probably wouldn't have noticed as much. I made a couple of mistakes which had me drop to P12... that last one was 1s before the race timed out . Last race at N24 I held on to a place because the race timed out just as another car started to get overlap, so I guess that's karma .

Whilst I did get bumped a few times I wasn't fully knocked off the track, I didn't get any penalties and finished with a blue SR. I'd say that was a pretty successful outing for the first race on a new track. I never played GT5/6 or any other racing games, so Spa is new to me. DR down 200 odd. Another day above DR 1 :odd:.

Here is the run without any pitstop and some fuel saving in the Citroën. Shift at 7500rpm! I got in a lobby that was much stronger than usual for me so the result was kind of surprising :D Only on the last lap I went through the revs. Oh and watch those tires! They stay in great shape 👍

Yeah the whole culture is different over here in the UK, a lot just go to get tanked & can’t control their behaviour, women are becoming worse than the guys.
It’s a more relaxed pace of life into further Europe at least that’s what I found when I was in Spain.

for DR/D to be competitive you need 2:20/21 for qualy
Me, DR B, with a 2:20.6 quali time

Here's hoping the update tomorrow resets everything at SPA and we can only see the legit laps at the top of the leaderboard 👍

The unscrupulous have had their name in lights for too long already! Back to the bottom of the board for you lot

👍

I've come up with a new game for Spa.

Run from the back on the R4M account, and see how many places I can make up without any actual overtakes. Rely purely on crashes/penalties.

Once I can consistently lap in the 2:19s in quali, anyway. Hopefully, that'll be later tonight.

Also me, at DR:A, with my 2:20.3xx

These are my areas for fuel with Ferrari.

Did some qualy laps at Spa on my main account in the M6. Right now sitting on 2:20.8. Still room for improvements.

- using my alt account for races to get a feel for it. Did 2 races, 6th and 4th finishes and I can say they were relatively clean races. Majority of times flat out on Eau Rouge.

M6, fuel map 1, pitting of course.

What’s the best car to no stop in Race C? I think I might do a few races from the back tonight. :)

You should put in a measured qual of around 21. On my alt that’s been giving good racing. If you do that we might be able to race together! Slingshot man slingshot!
Also, since I am on the alt what I mentioned last night goes for anyone I know from here. If I see you get taken out I will exact revenge if it was an intentional dirty move, and further try to work together in race,
If I am behind ya you got backup!

I think I did lift & coast and some short shifting. I always try to avoid FM as much as posibble.
In the case of Ferrari 458, FM2 is important on some corners, mainly because you need to save rear tyres.

Yeah, I wasn't being super serious. I'm definitely not DR A here, that's for sure. I've been racing on my alt which is high DR B (DR A/S is door banging/bump to win while DR B is usually clean and little contact from my experience) and my QT of 2:21.2 has landed me 12th - 15th on the grid. Although I haven't gone crazy with qualifying so maybe I could lower it to the 20s with perseverance.

Been bouncing between SR S and A this week normally just due to little side contact and people not having the best spacial awareness, nothing really that dirty. I'll leave it for today and do some more tomorrow. Been bouncing between Race B with a variety of cars and race C with the Ferrari to get some more practice with it under race and fuel/tyre wear conditions.

I have a lot of time to cut at Pouhon and Stavelot, I'm just so scared of the astroturf. Haven't been this scared of astroturf since flag football in elementary school. Another good night though- back up to C, two races, +2000 DR again. I just need to improve with the rest of the lot as the week goes on.
