You can't. That's where you start. Once Dr D you never go back

Dood... clean your glasses, then read again..... *SR* not DR ;) You start on *SR* B, not E

Edit: I'm not sure at what point you get reset when you hit SR/E... I don't *think* I saw any DR/Cs so maybe you get reset to DR/D from C when you hit SR/E... I'm sure @Groundfish can tell us. Whoever hooked him obviously pulled him up too quickly. He seems.....broken .

I'm slowly losing it in the back of Race C. It is just chaos. I need to get a better lap time I to start higher as I keep ending up near the same idiots. One tonight spent 4 laps humping the hell out of my bumper before he binned it and rage quit. Like bumping me in the middle of straights for no reason. Several push to pass near the end as I try to finish while no stopping. And stupidly, I signal and leave room for them to take the inside since I see they are faster. Nope, pull in behind tap me on the way in as they forget I have bad tires, then bomb a turn or two later, pushing me way wide as they forget they have to actually be in front before doing that.

Only 1 person was really dirty, the rest just seemed oblivious or simply reckless. Did see epic parallel drifting in one race as dirty 🤬 and a clean guy went side by side for 2 corners and both kept flooring it early. Pucker for me as I am.trying to stay clean, but a bit wild. Just getting grumpy staying back of the pack all the time. Started 17 of 19 in last 1 tonight, got to 11th then got tapped wide into the sand, no penalty of course. Slowly dropped a bit as stoppers caught me, then was 13th and letting 1 by when 2 others try at the same time to turn 1, massive crash. Dive bomber gets through with no penalty and I stay clean. Then I get pushed wide down the hill by next in line straight into the barrier. Oh joy. Ended down in 17th:crazy: . Sucks because aside from the smashes i like this race.

Going to have to find a race where i am not in a demolition derby. Probably have to wait til monday. Or try campaign mode:lol:

Did see @Rangeraus cleaning up wins though. So isn't all bad out there

First race was bogus. I started 10/20. FInished 15th. A fuel saving road hogging RSR was the culprit of my demise.

Next race, way better. Followed an AMG GT3 for most the race as we moved up. Wasn't even thinking about duel saving. I had 1.6 in the tank with 2 laps to go. So I pit. Lost 3rd place, but was fine as I started from 11th. No biggie.

MAybe I should quit this one

Edit: The Meganes ain't so big and bad. THey run out of breath on Conrod. ONly uphill is the killer. I was able to latch onto the Megane in front, but it's slow everywhere else. That's the only reason the other Megane passed me on the last lap.

they could do with an SR S+ to separate people actively looking to race clean. It's ridiculous that you get dive bombers in the upper tier of sportmanship rating.

Almost sure you would find dive bombers in SR S+ if it existed.

In SR S, people know they have SR to burn.

Yep, this is the reason I've had cleaner races at SR A since people generally want to reach SR S again. While to some people at SR S, the buffer is seen as a free punting/dirty pass.

It's possible to reset SR just by incurring penalties by taking shortcuts and driving into barriers, right?

Only the pit wall gives you SR Down. The easiest way is to drive backwards until the DQ timer comes up, turn around until you see SR Down, turn around and repeat. Do it somewhere out of the way and drive straight when the pack comes by as you will be causing a yellow flag doing that. Shortcuts don't give you SR Down just time penalties.

Morning racing is a gamble. Just now matchmaking went all the way down to SR.B again. And of course an SR.B driver first barge passes past me by sticking a nose in and using me as a guide rail, I get SR Down. Then he rams the car in front of him slowing him down so fast that I can't avoid him, 2 sec penalty for me. Then the SR.A car he punted takes revenge on me since I was driving the same car as the SR.B guy.... More SR Down for me. From 99 to 87 SR. An SR S+ option would be great. I'm fine with small rooms if that means not having to deal with SR.B behavior and perhaps the good guys stuck in SR.B can apply to race there instead. 3 CRB in a row to apply for SR S+, strict 5 sec penalties each for any contact, evenly shared blame is the only solution at this point with zero tolerance for contact. Take the reward out of the risk vs reward system that we have now. Same for walls or going outside track limits, 5 sec penalty. None of this 0.5 sec or if you hit the wall right you can simply bounce/scrape and go.

Yup. I can attest to that. My main account got knocked down to SR A at Fuji, last week. You can be sure that I will be extra careful next time I race with that account. :nervous:

SLOW car. It did get a bit loose when late braking too much coming down the mountain. After 3-4 laps I just found it was slow. I kinda eyeball my speed sometimes on straights...It did hit 160 down Conrod, but barely and other cars are just faster.
It did seem to lock the rears a bit, but braking seems like a strong point to it to me after 3-4 laps...
It just seems like it lacks power to me. Late braking it coming down the hill on purpose it did get loose in the rear...

Yeah it is slow but rides the bumps beautifully and an exit beast.

But, I was locking up EVERY TIME into turn 2 (Griffins), no matter the BB. When i say locking up i mean extreme rear end looseness when i get off the brake, it was undriveable, no idea what they changed in this car or if it was a glitch but i couldn't keep the rear in line to save my life.

Of course, because aggression is a necessity.

As you go up the scale of ability, the chance of winning against your opponents diminishes. If you don't take the risk, you lose. It's not dirty, it's just aggression.

If there's a gap. I am going for it.

The highlight reel of any legend has these types of moves in it.

Nah. All is well. I just thought it was funny to do all the things that have happened to me on gr4 Bathurst. I’ve raced there many times.
It was quite fun.
I wasn’t watching specific points but yes back to D E.
I’m now C C after 3 last night. Last night I began second and had a great race with the vette in first. I was unable to pass. He beat me by a tenth.
Next race he is again first.
He liked to gently weave on straights trying to limit my drafting. Lap 2 I was on him up mt straight and he’s weaving and hangs a tire off and slams into the wall lol.
Then his car disappeared and I won.
That’s a new one.

Re Lancer that’s weird...

Nah. All is well.

That's good to know. I kinda got the impression that something had snapped and there may be no more posts for a while... There would be no PS4 where you were headed.... anything that could be used as a noose is removed... :odd:.

The race report that was to be posted will have to wait to the day light hours. Somehow looking for lyrics for said report lead to watching Korn live doing The Wall, followed by part 1 of a history of Iron Maiden...it's now 2:40am.. night all Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I am not prohibited from access to sharp objects and personal items. :)
Nor was there any danger of ‘responding to internal stimuli’
Well, maybe a little...
The men in white coats are still relaxing in the breakroom having coffee and doughnuts.
I won’t be training a fake mute Indian to play basketball behind chain link fence and barb wire anytime soon.

Hmm SR.S is very dirty or reckless in the back right now. I tried two races (4 A+ in one!) and got rammed off twice in each one. Such a joke when the rammer down the chase in lap 3 gets 2 seconds penalty yet still finishes 5 places higher than you. Pointless penalties. Bring back the 10 sec penalties!

And disconnected during matchmaking. I guess I'll take the Beat for a spin, then quit to switch back to the mountain. I'll qualify to practice, it won't matter anyway

I punted a guy at the Chase yesterday.
I got four seconds but I pulled 5 gap by start finish.
He wasn’t happy.
Lots of asterisks mixed with Portuguese post race. That should be at least 5.

Finalllyyyyyy got my wheel back from Fanatec, they sent me a new base since my old one was too dead to fix lol.

I usually don’t bother with Race A, especially with slow econoboxes.....but this week, well this is fun. Combine a high speed track with a low grip car with tons of LTO and I’m all smiles.

It reminds me of doing the 356 Daily at Brands Hatch, always on edge. Did some practice laps and got down to a 2:08.xxx but clean. Consistently doing 2:09’s. Def can get into the 2:07’s, just trying to nail it down in two corners.

Not many guys in Race A last night though, did a few races with 1-2 SR S/A drivers but rest of the field were B. Had a great race against a S who kept it close through lap 1, but he pushed too hard and lost a lot on lap 2. That’s the trick with this car, don’t push too hard, focus on consistency and let the other guy overdo it.

The game should really just ghost and slow you down until the car that you punted off has past you again. No need for penalties. Remove the reward out of the risk vs reward equation. But it will have to solve the tap car tap wall nonsense first. Actually that would not be a problem since nobody passed anyone in that situation.

I got into 5th in race A, then the car got away from me in the chicane, knocked a car off road that tried to squeeze in the gap that wasn't there, 4 sec penalty. Dropped to 7th at the penalty zone, quit a bit later to go back to the mountain. Beat is slow and deadly.

@NevilleNobody Congratulations, you are today's recipient of me trying not to be a dick whist being a dick.

Because the racing is so turd I've hot lapped the Gr.4 Lancer a bit. I would agree the back end can feel light. It only feels like it's coming around on me at the Cutting and Forest Elbow. I actually wonder whether this is a simulated version of the Lancer's Active Yaw Control (if the ingame version has it). I've driven a lot of Lancers and their handling takes a bit of getting used to as they can do this and you need to learn to work with the chassis. I find it stable in almost all places - good on bumps, ride kerbs, goes well. It's also very neutral when you feed the power in and you can get on the gas very early. This needs to be used to get a lap. Also, the gearing is an issue. Took me a few laps to get the right corner/gear. And you're just about on the limiter down conrod at 159.

Net result: 2:13.9 after five laps (with a wheel on the dirt at Skyline). There's room to get that down a bit. BB 0. I can post a replay if you wish. For context, my Megane lap is 2:12.6 (I've put it in the 11s before).

B really is a difficult place to build DR and maintain SR. Had to race a few but won't be going back.

Race C this week is really good for this. Take the Ferrari. I use -1 BB to spread the tire wear out and if you just follow the line and you're smooth, you can run mid 1:22's all race like clockwork.

I tried the 1 stop strategy with the Audi and the Lambo, but I found that as the tires wear down, lapping in the high 1:21's is normal. With the Ferrari being able to run with (many of) the 1 stoppers, while saving fuel at the same time, it just seems like a lock to finish well. In the last race I did, one of the Ferrari's got spun out early on and he recovered to finish 2nd.
