Race C this week seems to have an issue with the starting grid :
Cars starting in the middle of the corner stop at the start of the race. There was a huge traffic jam in my race, allowing me to gain 6 or 7 places just by driving around them...
Tires are fine after 10 laps in the R8, but the players who were driving the 911 seemed to be struggling after 8 laps.:boggled:

All set for Spain.

Lol

I am hoping that Mount Panorama will be with 4 different FR GR 4. PD has surprised me positively several times in the last couple of months.
If it is the GTI on Nürburgring I am really jumping on that too.

So hopefully a busy week :)
Even though it's a repeat (), I'm excited to get the Supra Gr. 4 on the track. :D

The designers must be all assigned to GT7

I still don't know why these races aren't automated. I bet if it were automated, it would be better.
If it was automated, "A" race will get stuck on Maggiore Center with the Fiat 500 F. :nervous::lol:

Any pointers guys? Can't seem to break into the 45s.

Not an expert, but I see three spots you might be losing time.
T1: going in if you brake straight a bit longer before moving to the right for the apex you can avoid the unsettling that the hill can give the R8. It will also give you a more direct line to the end of the outside curb at the end of the corner.
T5: I think you can gain time here if you brake through the middle of the track going into the corner and then overslow around the curbing which will line you up for accel along the outer curb
2nd to last: This one just requires a bit more braking so you can stay closer to the curb. I use that line/crease in the middle of the track as a “no go line” since I think it goes even more off camber beyond that.

I just tried @praiano63 ’s tune and it was worth another .6 over mine for a total now of 1.1 off the Stock cars time. Now sitting at 1:00:0. I guess in this particular case, tuning wasn’t so bad. It is my favourite car in the whole game after all. :)

Wow just tried it too.
Went from doing 1:02:6XX, to 1:01:449 on the second lap.
Should have come here for a tune earlier this week haha

This is a little disappointing. I swear we had the same race B combo under a month ago.

If race B was with Gr.3 and race C was Gr.4 this would be a good looking week. Still going to do these seen as how I'm off most of next week.

Edit: should be interesting to see what's the quickest around Laguna.
Agreed, I personally had a much better time tossing around my Gr.4 NSX at Laguna Seca then when I tried to navigate it with any Gr.3 car...

I got sick of being violently thrown sideways at corkscrew in the 911 RSR, switch to the Lexus then got sick of going into the sand at exits of corners trying to get those last few tenths...

I have a serious issue with MR cars going into corkscrew... I either lose a lot of time or end up facing the wrong way..

And the land owners must be compromised too.

Glad I don't live in the Horse Shoe.

Help me sell my house in Dayton?

I finally got a win again, took P1 spinning out late in the race but I'll take it. Finished with a total time of 18:26. Tonight it was super clean after lap one or a nightmare mid pack. Got back to to B/B status tho so I'm happy. I had a guy brake check me while I was drafting him on the front straight, got slapped with a 4 second penalty. I managed to use the pause and ghost trick to miss a giant pile up tho.

Can anyone help me figure out what happened here?

On race C, the guy in front of me went out of the track and we paired just at finish line. As you can confirm from the checkered flag icon on the players list, I crossed the finish line on 4th, but then WTF the system pushed me back to 5th (FYI I had no penalties + clean race and there was no contact on this finale, though the guy tried to squeeze me).

Oh, and sorry for the poor video quality, I'm a newbie on sharing GT stuff here

Btw I was a pretty good race, started P13, passed clean through the T1 carnage, two more clean overtakes and ta-da! Still don't know if it was 4th or 5th place.

Switch to the vette :) lol. I dunno man, I tried some laps just now and did best in the vette. But I ran 46.8
Lol if I spent time I could break 46 in the vette on tcs 3. Just gotta hit the apex and get on throttle early.
More of that track is flat than you think if you get on throttle in good timing, and are in a good line. The only thing I saw glaring at me was the left hand hairpin on the hill and the first right hairpin before that...That turn is really important, but that whole track has so much time in it if you hit apexes absolutely perfectly.
Turn 1 crucial. The first right hand hairpin crucial, getting on throttle early at next left sweeper decently important.
TONS of time in the weird left hairpin also, that one always surprises me.
The final turn is maybe the most important on the track to get a good run.
I dunno, I tried the moostang, the 911 and the vette in that order. Vette was best for me. A fast car is free time for nothing.
I think the 911 can also run great times, but you gotta be perfect.
So, no, I really can’t help you, but you motivated me to run some so I thought I would post.
45 whatever would be a nice clean lap for sure!
Good luck!

Looks like the red car got you by a nose in the last foot. It's hard to tell from that angle tho to be 100% sure. Should have went to the photo mode and done a walk around to tell for sure. The delay in the results I'm not sure about, lag?

The new penalty system is great, PD have finally clamped down on the deliberately dirty drivers like me.

That was unfortunate :guilty:

More than likely lag. Finish positions are based on elapsed time from race start to finish, plus penalties. Although your system was seeing his car slightly behind yours, that may have been due to information from his system being delayed in transit. His actual position may be different by quite a bit.
This issue is also sometimes the cause of a penalty for colliding with another vehicle, even though you don't see or feel actual contact.

Photo finish. PD went back to the replay...you lost, call overturned. :grumpy:

Take it as mechanical damage.

In a real life race, your car would be seriously damaged after not avoiding that crash.
That costs time to repair, so your penalty.

Auto racing is a zero contact discipline, all contact has consequences.
So try to avoid any contact, ... as the car was yours, not as the car can be destroyed in every race.
