Everyone 5 minutes into the C race:

I still maintain that [the Porsche] drives like a death machine

If actual cars had as little grip as some of the cars in Gran Turismo, most automotive manufacturers would have been bankrupted by wrongful death suits years ago.

My personal favourite was the Elise 111R in GT5 or 6. Out of the box it was virtually undriveable. I've driven a real one and survived to tell the tale.

Ha Nord 911, 811.
The cars super well balanced and pretty decent no tcs, works way way better on weak abs for me, can slippy a bit but let’s you know. I just don’t know the track, and have no chance against people who have run it for years, it’s one reason I almost never try to get good on it, never hotlap etc. I followed the yellow brick road. :)
Meh, lap shared.

Edit, you gotta throttle it to balance it, keeps the ass planted on a lot of the weight shift points. Trail brakes good, just a bit heavy and slow in response compared to the racecars.

Is it just me but every lobby I've been in today has all been the same class DR and SR? Which has been god awful since I dropped back to DR/D, its been straight up bumper cars. At this rate I'm set to drop my DR down to 1.

Both my races tonight were all B/S, and all of the Race Bs I entered last week were all B/S too.

Wow, so there is even more to come off for them eh? This is gonna be a tough one this week, currently sitting at 58.4. :)
Thats a good lap! The one clean lap I did was an 8:16. By clean, I mean no penalties, no high speed tripple spins, (my daughter was reading behind me on the last one and says " wow, look at all that smoke!) And no slamming into walls hard enough to get penalties. I watched the top time in the region, and he's very aggresive on turn in. Looks like he's pitching it sideways to get it to rotate, then catching the slide. I'd like to say I'm done with it, but I'll probably end up running laps at some point. I hate to be last on my friends list...maybe I need to find some slower friends!
On a better note, I did about 5 or 6 laps in my GR3 GT-R and got into the 58's. There's some more there, and I haven't tried any more cars yet, so who knows what's possible.

Edit:@roamingbard13 I've found that, over the last few weeks, most of the races are B/S :irked:

Back up to mid B around the Ring, was starting on pole with a 8.08 QT, lots of faster people behind me, managed to secure two wins but felt I was holding people up too much so finished session earlier than I would normally. Hopefully by tonight people will have done more QT's and I'll be placed more realistically.
Getting more familiar with the Porsche, but it's a knife edge between bin it and win it. Fun but tense :gtpflag:

Race A is a complete waste of time. Autopolis again and you can't even choose your own cars. Won't be entering a single one.

Race C with the Porsche Clubsport on the other hand is an interesting combination and quite a challenge as that car is more or less a death trap. Only did one race so far and I found it slightly too annoying to try and keep that thing on the track. Might give it a few more tries but will likely be running Race B the most, as always.

Happy with P3 in EMEA as of now at Maggiore. I doubt it'll be enough for top 10 by Sunday, but I may contest it later in the week depending on the competition :)

Edit: I like the combo a bit too much. Went at it again and got a 54.863 :D

if you are A or B level , you should be storming away at the front in a DR D lobby

I was low-mid C before all this started. Just fast enough to finish at the front of most D lobbies and just slow enough to get my ass handed to me by high C/low B lobbies.

Some of what happened on Race B is that I was trying the Gr3 Supra for the first time. I didn't realize how much I've been strictly driving MR cars. But on Maggiore the Supra was far the fastest car I tried. So some of it was me learning a new car (and a new drivetrain, really) and some of it was getting spun around/pushed off in turns. My first two lobbies last night were C/S and they were far from clean. When I got dropped down to D, I should've quit for the night rather than keep on pushing in a car I had questionable control over.

I just did the oppositewent from FR to MR on Maggiore. Granted, the RSR is maybe just a semi MR. Started as p12 with a 16 numberplate. Worked my way up by going a little slower into corners, or maybe more correct a little later apex than my competitors. One of them was a lot harder to pass though. We fought hard but clean through the last 2 1/2 laps and ended up as p6 and 5, With him being 5.
I got CRB and 6 spots up from my qualify time. More than happy with that race!

Rough going at the ring this morning. Mostley my own fault tbh. Finding the car much more unstable and inconsistent during the race as opposed practice. Still good racing, just not performing the way i think i should. At least i haven't taking anyone else out as of yet lol

Hello everyone, back to daily routine and daily races!

I had some good races last week at Tokyo. Usually I stay away from Tokyo but I couldn't resist the temptation. I must say I love the Toyota even if it's start to be overused. The car fitted the track nicely.

This week will be all about Porsche and Green Hell. It started nicely with good racing from the back yesterday but this morning was tough. Some mistake from me and some from others. Lots of people don't have a QT so we bunch up behind a slower driver and that's where bad things happens. Did'nt have that nice feeling of "WOW what a race" yet.

I absolutely love the setting at Nurburgring. The 10h cloudy with patch of fog really make the track feel alive. Gorgeous!

Also the physics of the game are at their best since launch. The GT86 and Porsche are a pleasure to drive. Also the GTI on hard braking with the back pushing the car sideways is also really nice!

Am I the only one who has left the brake balance alone on the Porsche? I tried putting it all the way to the rear and found the car twitchy beyond belief. I've left it at 0 and find the car more stable but I suppose it isn't turning into the corners as well. Have an 8:19 lap time I need to improve on.

Hell, I put BB at 1 to the front and found it just slowed the snap oversteer enough for me to get a better handle on the car with the throttle. I have also definitely found that the throttle helps to balance the car a lit more and feathering it on some turns helps keep it glued. Shout out to @Groundfish I think for the tip on that. Having a lot more fun after that.👍

1st race of the evening at the Ring and... looked like everyone got disconnected, '..... has left the room' including me.
2nd race back to normal started 4th finished 8th, all due to unforced errors, ha. 3rd race started 4th let a much faster driver through, steady away monitoring gap to the driver behind, watching 3rd & 4th mess with each other, 6th getting closer, thankfully they sort it and get up to race pace, both have 1 sec penalties, so I'm up to 3rd on lap 2 with a canny gap behind, 2nd place has a nightmare after the carousel so I get 2nd place, manage to finish lap ok. Belter.
Kudos say's I have my best DR rating, ever.
Downhill from here

I aim to practice more but it's not a very fun drive when I'm constantly needing to be mindful of steering input and treating it like a princess.

Don't be too scared, I drive that thing like it's a lawnmower with two wheels in the grass all of the time. My lap time suffers for it but you can be more aggressive with it as long as you smooth the throttle back off on the exit to avoid the lethal whip back that it likes to throw at you.

I need to stop watching the Yellowbird video.

Used the Mustang for Race B. Crazy fast with acceleration. It's heavy in tight turns, but man, I was motoring away from a determined R8.

A WRX was barely staying ahead, using its agility. Look like that player was using all their skills to stay ahead. Good stuff.
