Boy, the Ring in these Porsches is sooo much fun when you race with trusted racers.

Saw SvennoJ out there. I started 5th, he started 13th.

I finished 5th after a great couple of laps, he finished 3rd after even greater couple of laps.

Good times when it all goes well, win or lose.

Watch a few YouTube video & I noticed people chatting about the number on their car . Each time the person said if they get higher than the car number you have you get better points.
Is that true?

With the slow down penalties can you reduce it on each track by slowing down on the track? Or is that only with lobby racing?
Door number is based on alphabetic (not numeric) sorting of DR score, so 9000 is considered a higher score than 70,000 and will get a lower door number. If all drivers are DR-B or higher, door number will accurately depict relative DR scores and beating your door number is likely (NOT guaranteed) to result in a DR gain.
It is possible though for a DR-C driver to get door number 1 in a field full of DR-A & A+. If you're in a field of mixed DR-C and DR-B, door numbers will not mean much.

Tried Lago.

Got punted on lap 2 at the high bank by a regular player that came from way back. This person knew full well that there would be no penalty.

I returned the favour and left.

I'll wait for a fix (hopefully) before I play any more Sport Mode.

What do you mean with "regular" ?

Today again only in Daily Race B.
In my first race, I believe I got the ABS bug/glitch... Only slight, but still made a difference. Started P6, ended in P9 or something like that.
2nd race, I ****ed up. Wanted to bypass that glitch by turning ABS off, go in warmup, return and turn ABS on and then warmup again. However I was too late and had to race without ABS. Boy what a mess. Started P6 again, ended up around P10.
Third time lucky, started P9 and ended up P6, that was my first real race.
Next race I got a slightly less competitive lobby in terms of qualy time and started P1. Luckily P2 spun out early, creating a gap to the cars behind so I had no one in slipstream and easy P1.
Then the next race, again starting P1. Led until lap 4. And then he came.
I messed up coming to the long straight and he almost passed me into the hairpin. I won't explain more, feel free to judge for yourself.

Just as a hint: The lap before he was braking where the shadows of the trees started.....
I should have known. I knew it was gonna happen after the hairpin.

haha I was blessed too, such an crappy honor.

So with no penalty system in place the only thing you can do is report them. Sucks that one can do that on last lap.. just take it away from you without risk. Has PD ever said anything about what heappens with a reported driver who’s done something deliberately ugly?

I just played a race b quickly where I just started the PS4 and jumped straight in. Got pole and on the last lap in last S curves guy behind punted me slightly by mistake but backed off clearly. I thanked him and felt there’s still hope for good racing. Just need to have some luck with matching.

It's not PD who deal with them. Reports go to Sony moderators. Frankly, unless you happen to hit one who races in online racing games, good luck.

The Porsche race at Race C this week has officially screwed up my driving for literally any other car. That's enough of that for this week. Any more of this and I'll be back at the Driving School just to re-learn how to drive every other car in the game.

Took a massive gamble with my first attempt at a daly race this week on Race B to try and rebuild my DR. Set a poor qualifying time and started last (16th). Was expecting to destroy my DR even more because of that but turned out the gamble paid off!!

That’s my 1st and last attempt. Not risking it again!! :)

It's been a while since I've done Daily Races but... what the hell happened? It's nearly impossible to get SR Down, this whole week I've been getting matched with people who have been dive-bombing me into every turn which should not be happening at SR S. I've had four consecutive "clean" races, and every one of them I've been slammed up the inside by someone, and I've even retaliated once and ended up pushing someone off the circuit after they did it to me. No penalty, no SR Down. PD what have you done?!

I know what you mean. I did a couples of races where half the grid is on my friendlist or from here and it was a blast. On the most difficult track and a car that wants to kill you, it's a good feeling. That one dirty driver :gtpflag:we all knew :gtpflag:must have felt alone at some point.

I have done some research on @Sven Jurgens and I found where he lives. I even took a picture of his civil adress!

The update on January 9th changed how strong a contact has to be to generate a penalty. It was hyperactive before that - I got a 7s penalty in an FIA race for absolutely nothing - but now it's almost non-existent...

On the last update ( approx jan 10?) they removed the collision detection penality. Only cutting track and hitting wall remains. I think they did so because the update before that made the penality even worse than ever before. So now it will be SR.S for everybody really soon.

I really hope it was accidental, I don't know that I can keep playing this game if the SR systems is effectively nullified. It was fine before the Laguna Seca update. It was strict, but it worked. I'd rather have a system that is unfair on a rare occasion than no system at all.

Ran some qualifying times in race B, improved to a 1.57.2 with the Vette. Then I went to the Supra and played with the BB. Once adjusted from the Vette I put in a 1:56.88x. Which is just outside the top 500 in America. Anyone running the manufactures race tomorrow? I was thinking the Jag would be a good choice but not too sure. I've never raced the manufactures cup before. I'm assuming the same guidelines in FIA?

Why not just go back to the system they had 2 updates ago? It wasn't perfect but was far better than the Judge Dredd penalties, definitely better than the Forza Motorsport public lobbies-style penalties. Is anyone at PD even trying to make a competent game?

ETA: I think the penalties in the first year of the game were the best versions. It's been nothing but incompetent ever since they started giving negative SR for being bump-drafted...

Heading to the Ring, my DR slowly sliding after usual mid week peak, I get Monday's off so can get a slight head start. Hoping the racing as clean as last night
