I forgot about one thing: age...
I'm 55, so I might be a bit more mellow :)
So youre really grandpa:) I was thinking that your nick and this text below "sitting low, driving slow" is some kind of a joke:) At your age you must remember vikings times, all this raids and battles, times before Playstation and even electricity;)

About yesterdays races... I was saying that I gonna be punisher with no mercy, but after tasty dinner my wife cooked, after playing with my 5 month beautiful daughter and looking at her smile I changed my mind, Im not like them, Im better man I think. 1st race B, starting 5th, 1st corner brit starting 6th divebombed 2 cars... In the middle of the lap ukrainian in bmw is trying to overtake him, he blocks and push bmw out of the track.. Now I know that he wont let me overtake, he already ruined race for three players... We aproaching to this last tight chikane... Yes I hitted him hard, rage quit:) It was only solution, like with mad dog, you need to shoot it. Next 2 races were pretty clean, gained 1800dr in 3 races, end of the story;)

First race B on the new update: everyone tip-toeing around t1 and T2, then it starts rolling. One guy had 9 seconds penalties when we came to the chikane (he deserved every second) At the end of the race we where 4 with no penalties.
I moved up 9 positions, the last two by the chikane in the last lap, where 3 and 4 bumped into each other and then one waited for the other.

Edit @LVS_1986 I invented dirt.

So it looks like thing are going in right direction. I cant wait to go back home and see how it works now. Have you noticed any changes, except that penaltys are back?

The penalties are back, I tested Race A, got a large SR down for spinning someone. [Only to test the penalties of course]
Lets see how many folks lose there SR S ratings today, so far am probably the only SR A rated driver in Europe. I already killed my SR but only to save you guys, good luck, See you on track.

Right now 32% of players with more than 20 races has SR S rating. Let's see how it changes in a week.

I wonder if anyone remembers the percentage before the previous update?

Not sure that Graph paints a realistic picture of folks that actually race in the daily races, as soon as I lost my SR S even though I still was DR B I was matched with a Full grid of D/S drivers. Guess there was no other racers with a SR rating lower than S about?

I looked on the Wayback Machine and found an archive. It's not the same graph, this one probably hasn't been around for long, so I looked at the graph for players who have completed at least 5 Sport Mode races instead

The difference is still very noticeable.

Wow, thanks! I tried to do the same for "more than 20 races" graph, but there was nothing there.
6% difference is considerable when you take into account that most of these players are inactive.

I was never again going to qualify. Now, with the penalties, I did. Set a 1:57.207, for Race C, to see what happens.
Started 5th, finished 4th.
Initially, behind an Atenza. It got loose on corner exit, before the run past the penalty zone. From there, had a battle with an AMG and that Atenza. swapped places a few times. End of Lap 3, it started to get messy with another AMG being a bit sloppy. I noticed a fellow RC F '17, from previous encounters. Made sure it was in my tow down the back straight to the final chicane. All was good until the Atenza, at the end of a 4-car train, knocks into everyone. Allowed me to get away and cruise for the final lap.

Penalties are hit and miss. The previous race, an upset player in and AMG, got up to 9 seconds for being aggressive and bumping a few players off. It hit me, as it was going for a revenge punt on someone. Didn't knock me off track because I was a bit outside for T1. Anyway, it seems to be working better than nothing at all. Now, if only players can start concentrating on controlling their cars again. Too much fishtailing on corner exits, at NurbGP.

I've had two races in Race C this morning and the only penalties I've seen were track limits. Have had one idiot who, to be greatly charitable, had no sense of spatial awareness - I gave him the whole track to do his overtake rather than making his life difficult, and he still tried to crowd me off the exit - but since he chucked himself into the lake through turn four from a solid fifth place *shrug*

Looking at the timings, there's been some contact penalties for two or so seconds, but I've not actually seen them occurring on my bits of track. I have seen two red S ratings though, at long last!

I'm going to probably give it another day before I jump back into the daily races. I'll just work on my driving this morning. I had a SR rating of A/S before there were no penalties and I'm going to try and stay there.

Not a bad idea. It'll take a bit of time for the dirtier drivers in SR S to get themselves knocked back down to their natural SR.

Just tried a few races on my alt. All in Race A, intentionally not qualifying to start near the back. Why? Because seemingly I'm a glutton for punishment lol. Apart from one weird penalty I received, it's good to see some penalties being handed out again with red SR rankings back on the finish screen.

In one race I was in there was clearly some beef between two drivers, as one went out their way to murder the other at the second hairpin from about 4 places back. 5s penalty handed out, and by the end they lost 12 SR. See ya, off to your natural SR you go...

He said "You wanna know the truth son? Lord I'll tell ya the truth! Your soul's gunna burn, in a lake of fire"......and on to the madness that is Race B. I improved drastically on my wet tyre time, and marginal y on my dry time, but still didn't break the 2:01 bracket. Based on my previous try , I should have been gridded about P4 or 5.... yeh NO! P12/16 on a mixed grid of DR/C and D.

Race gets going and it's pandemonium. I got hit on numerous occasions. I only saw a few penalties, but I did get an orange SR ... the only penalty I got was from cutting a corner just a tad... while I got nothing for larger slices out of other corners .

Lap 2 and I was finaly knocked off at T1 by a Mercedes who I'm guessing didn't know how to deal with drafting. I was casually changing down during my braking, he was still in 5th, slammed into me knocking me off the track, and even after using me as a brake, still managed to overshoot the corner. I was re-spawed in P13.

I slowly worked my way up a little. I caught up to a fellow Aussie, gave him a gentle tap, then backed off. He went slightly off, so I slowed so he re-gained control and position before resuming. Unfortunately someone else came through behind him, and knocked him off again . Another Mercedes who looked to be driving with driving aids off for the first time or something. In the end I finished P10, which is up from P13, but still disappointing.

SR down 3, DR down 260ish.... 499 to go till my trip to DR/C is over .
