I don't know about his races but all the worst crap i have dealt with has been in Rooms heavy with A drivers. Videos finally went live. The first one is the first lap of my first race no qually. I quickly found out I didn't have a handle on the combo but it looks like no one else did either.

I do admit to not driving great there. And yeah, after that I just dropped as I had no pace.
Next video was the punts from last night.
First was the lag punt, person managed to keep the spot. I want the tire grip and turning ability they had. Next is the combo deal that dropped me from a solid start and ok pace to just lapping in danger of being lapped with no one in sight. Guy that dive up the middle to make it 3 wide was doing that crap all night in all 3 races, and simply punting you if they didnt get by within a few turns. Didnt seem to get many penalties for it though. I need to get faster to get away from those people, or better car control.:boggled:

Finally reached DR A here and all my races till now are much more chaotic and dirty than B.

In BMB lots of A drivers are abusing the track limits, did not see that in B.

Yeah, up until my disaster last night I kept getting close to A and hanging at high 28k. Just seems they are more aggressive and less patient, especially in a mixed field. Oh well, going to have fun anyway.

Nobody bump drafts on the Daily B Oval in Europe, I absolutely cannot stand it. A/S lobbies, even had a French me brake check me going into the flat out T2 when we were p1 and p2 breaking away from the pack.... because of my bump drafting :confused: Maybe it's NASCAR or something but on my North America account I've had better luck oval racing. On EU just seems to be guys constantly driving below the apron to break tow, drivers attempting passes down the straight when the guy ahead of them is also in the slipstream, divebombing T1. Never anyone working together, so bizarre.

True, they just don't know what it is. Well, the majority ofcourse. They merely think that you are teasing them when you hit them from behind.
I've tried it a few times. Only reaction I got was flashing lights and a real bumb afterwards:banghead:

3 victories tonight: 2 at BMB (3 pole) and 1 at Autopolis. Should've had at least 2 more at BMB but clowns will be clowns. Got sweet revenge at Autopolis when P1 went wide at T1 on final lap and as I'm carrying more speed and try to pass him halfway down to T2, joker blocks me on the right AND on the left. So naturally, I bumped him around final turn for the win (no penalty no less).

For Daily Race A, BB 4 to the rear works great. For C, I've been enjoying 5 to the rear with ABS off... still trying to figure it out but that's been best I've discovered so far. Curious what people are doing for Spa.

I'm the "joker/clown" that "blocked" you last night. Which led to you punting me off track on the final turn for your win.

Last night was the first on-line race I'd done in GT in over two years. Unfortunately, not much has changed... The race you took from me was my third of the night. Admittedly, I was SLOPPY on the final lap. But, I didn't get a Sportsmanship Rating of S by being an intentionally bad driver. I've been playing since the original GT came out, I've been on many tracks IRL (including the 'Ring) and done a lot of track days. Dirty driving makes me mad, IRL and on-line.

I'm trying to give you some background, I'm not a kid. I've done this a long time and I've done it virtually and on actual tracks... Am I the best driver in the world? No. Am I a dirty driver? A joker? A clown? No. No. No. My last lap was not pretty. But, from my perspective, I did my best to stay on the racing line, your job is to figure out how to get past me. I never made more than one move on a straight and it was always to get back on the racing line. I understand that this week's Race A has a brutally slow and underperforming car. But, it is what it is. If you can't pass me cleanly, you have to wait for the next opportunity. On the final lap, you were able to close the gap when I screwed up on a few corners. But, I always maintained a lead thru the corner you caught me on and had pulled ahead by more than a car length before the next turn.

You literally just ran into the back of me and punted me off track on the final turn. C'mon, you behaved exactly like the people you are complaining about in many of your posts here.

Here's the final two laps of the race from your perspective. Again, I know I was sloppy. I can do better. But, the way I see it, I only ever moved back on the racing line if I veered off it. You couldn't get it done in a legit manner so you took the easy way out. I'm a big boy. Have a look, point out where I was in the wrong. If it's there, I'll admit it, accept it and improve on it. BUT, I'd ask you to do the same.

Thats a pretty greasy punt

That's not blocking.

Not blocking, just being a little slower through the corner. If someone did that to me when I was first I would be pretty pissed..

Yeah I see that your way. You were slow out of T1 but followed the racing line (albeit slowly). There was no blocking. The punt at the end of the lap was dirty AF. I like your attitude to your driving too and that's something I always try and do, looking at my own driving in any given situation to see if there was anything I could have done differently. Too many people have something they don't like happen to them and immediately just blame everyone else.

Come hang out in the Asia lobbies. Trying to keep it solid at BMB versus the Evo train. A couple of whom seem to believe it is their right to pass anything not an Evo. Had 2 good races, one of those with a crap finish due to a BS penalty, but no one did me wrong there. And so far 1 punt fest where the lead 5 drove away to race while the rest in the back played demolition bumper cars. I screwed something up and got caught with the fun boys.:mischievous:

Edit, oh yeah, loving the ABS glitch. 2 races it has hit entering turn 1, first time I just slid, this time straight at the wall and a lovely 5 seconds.:banghead: sucks as it was lap 7 and I was last guy on top 6 train of A drivers, 2 owed penalties, and had over a second back to the pack behind. I just don't get it. Hit the brakes early because I am drafting and all 4 go red and I just slide. Oh well. Back to the drawing board. Did get my first ever fastest lap. Shame I ended the race p12.

And after 5 races I have to quit. Down 2500 or so DR, lost 15 SR after psychos are simply rubbing you on the wall to pass. Just gone so downhill from first couple of rounds, and keep getting matched with the same people. So nasty when I get in the clear the front group is gone. One guy cut inside and tapped me as he passed 3 straight laps (I would pass him on the front each time) trying to give me a penalty. He rode the last third of the wall on the final turn for no penalty. Ugly. Might have to go back to spa for a bit. Get some more spread out racing, and no Lancers.

Don't know if this has been mentioned on here recently, but the amount of 'S' class drivers (B / A DR) who cut infront of you to get a bump boost after loosing speed from a penalty reduction.

It seems like an epidemic, never used to be this bad before...

I only race on euro servers, not sure what it's like in other area's, it's never been as prolific as it's been on Monza and Blue Moon.

YESSSSSSSSSS. However, I've mainly seen it when I'm gaining on the car ahead. Not after the other car serves a penalty. It's deliberately used to boost and defend an overtake. Especially at Spa.

Never posted, just a silent spectator for a while.
It's tough to have any success in Race B. If you're outside the top 4 and no one is willing to work with you. The strange penalties definitely make it worse.
Guess need to improve my qualifying time. Currently a 43.1. Doubt I'll manage to get in to the 42's

Someone just got busted.......

It's hard to tell what a genuine qually time is, too. If that top 4 qualifying is taken up by people who cheated on their qually lap, it's even more frustrating.

Here's the final two laps of the race from your perspective.
All other points aside, this is from his perspective from your perspective - that is, it's from his car, but only as your console saw it. That means it's subject to the same latency as it is during the race, and so not truly what he saw. There's a lot of choppy motion in there, like he's driving with a knock-off DS4 while on a train, which is travelling through an airstrike during a particularly distracting earthquake, while your car is totally smooth. That's pretty much just latency; your console knows exactly where you are, but it's guessing where he is and what he's doing, then filling in the blanks when it receives real information from his console 0.1-0.2s later.

The only way to see the race from his perspective is if he shares his replay too.

But yes, from your perspective, your car does nothing anyone would consider as unfair blocking. There's no double-moves, no crowding (gets a bit close in the S2 hairpin on the penultimate lap, but there's a car's width), and no brake-checking.

However... if we consider that his console will perceive you in the same way yours perceived him (choppy and erratic), because there's obviously some latency issues there, it may look different on his replay. You may have been doing what he said you were doing on his screen, while not actually doing it. Latency is a bitch.

I'm not sure it'd affect the punt, which is obviously a straight-up punt, though it may look more like revenge than prevenge.

Yay, finally got my 10th victory at BMB.

Knew id get one eventually as low B rank don't seem as sharp or smart around the oval as me. Patience and being in the right place at the right time. Used a bit of bump drafting so P2 Frenchman and I could break away, I let him cut the air until lap 8 turn 1, defending everything 100% then on, no chance for him to pass.

My DR sits at an all-time peak of 16.1K. I'm sure I can keep adding to that this week, though now I've got my win at BMB I'm tempted to put some time into race C as, while I'm sure my results won't be as good so quick, it'll be a much more interesting race.

Nothing wrong with your driving. I feel partly responsible for often advertising retaliating also against dirty blockers. This is not even close to clumsy defending. You did nothing wrong.

A dirty block is someone getting a bad corner exit, you have the run on them at the start of the straight, and at the last second they quickly veer over to steal your momentum so not to get passed on the straight. Driving by mirror instead of choosing a defensive line in a safe manner, copying your moves to block any pass attempt. Or when you are halfway alongside, push your car half into the grass so you lose traction and slow down. Yesterday I had one deliberately ram me into the wall at Spa after I had the run on him from T1 to Raidillon. He could have easily draft passed me again on the straight instead of slowing us both down, but ram and boost was his way to get ahead.

I've gone back to trying to ignore all the crap some people pull during the race. It's sometimes satisfying to punt a trouble maker out of the way but it's still more satisfying to see them crash on their own later in the race. (Although usually they end up crashing someone else in the process or get taken out by someone else) I don't know what's dirtier, slow down and make room for a dirty driver to pass so he can take out the car in front of me or deal with it myself  Following a dirty driver picking up places from all the cars he rams off until he finally wipes out actually feels more dirty :ouch: It's more effective as well, my DR went up from 33 to 37K yesterday...

Bring back the 1.52 penalty system. It was far from perfect, but so much better than what we have now. Drive carefully through T1 at the start in Spa and you have 50% chance to get a 7 sec penalty or end up in the kitty litter. An uneven start number (starting on the right side) and hug the inside wall, slow down, turn on a dime in 1st, is the only way to get through that corner unharmed. Going slow enough you ghost lol. Then you have to dodge all the cars serving penalties on the straight trying to steal your momentum...

I prefer race C since there's enough time there to recover from lap 1-2 nonsense and still have a good race. Plenty of great drivers still around to catch up with and have an actual race with.

So I tried to do just that, starting in p7.
And then a guy right behind me on the left ducked in behind me, effectively halfing the brake space for the one behind me. So I got the blunt force in that chain reaction.
But this time I got lucky and got punted to p1!
A dive-bombers tried to catch me at the end of Kemmel, but missed and the next 7 laps I was alone. Then the pole sitter passed me and by finish line he was 5 seconds ahead. P3 was 16 seconds behind me...

I am absolutely shure that if people could only keep their spot till they passed la source we would have massively better races at Spa in the SF. But they might just turn into trains.....

Edit: the other grid would work too!
