Didn't mean anything by it, just a general observation since launch, not everyone with bad liveries are bad drivers but it can often be an indication of someone with less than acceptable driving standards ie ramming and driving people into walls.
Changing the paint color is just so complicated.Geez everybody knows the worst dirty drivers run the stock livery. They run the meta car also almost always.
For example if you see a stock liveried gr4 Megane at Mt Panorama there is a 94 percent chance that person is a dirty driver. Now a chrome or fluorescent one, you are only looking at approximately 60 percent chance they are dirty.
Interestingly if they have also applied decals and the livery looks good there’s less than 15 percent chance of dirt.
Beware the player who doesn’t bother painting a car, or who doesn’t even want to show his or her livery.
They are bad people, and up to no good.
How is that any different than someone claiming that anyone with a (Insert country name here) Flag are dirty drivers?
Answer, It’s not.
Since i started playing online on GT5, there is and there will always be one sure thing: Monza is a wreckfest.
People trying to overtake you in the strangest ways, people that probably forgot their brakes at the pits and therefore send you to heaven in turn one, people that do everything they can to prevent you from overtaking (The other day I literally saw one player that, when he was overtaking after the parabolica, got bumped so hard that he was sent into the pitlane).
I only race on Monza so i'm pretty used to all this stuff, i don't even get mad anymore;
If i'm in a lobby with more than 8 players, i don't even attempt a pole lap because i already know that i'll end up in the back, i prefer starting from the back and calmly make my way through.
Today, as i was racing in a Gr.3 BoP Race, almost 2 seconds ahead of the others, i got bumped.
"Strange", i thought, no one was behind / beside me, nor did i spin out, so what happened?
Took my loss, saved the replay and when i went to watch it, i saw this:
Strike, i guess![]()
Whatever you wanna put it on![]()
Ahem.....cough cough a "friend" .............cough..... told me......... ahem............. about this ....... cough ahem cough cough...
Tried to be a smartass and start at the back on hards, when race starts go straight into pits to change on mediums (before you cross startline) and do the whole race on mediums - GENIUS!
Ummmmmm, until you drive straight through the pits and come out 10 seconds behind last place on same hards you started with...
Ahem... like I say, a friend told me about this, ahem, cough cough.....

What position did you start from? I have only seen one Atenza with a better qualifying time than me so I keep getting lined up behind 10+ GTRs and some other odd cars. One on one, I could probably beat the GTR with my Atenza if he or she pulls me around the track and I wait for their mistake. The Atenza is easy to put where you want, but it’s slow exiting the chicanes and cannot pass on the straights.I took a second in the Atenza that would've been a first except I tried to mow the grass on the outside of Lesmo 2 a couple times. There's definitely other viable cars.
Careful what you wish for. Have a look at the activity
.
I find the opposite works for me. With my driving style, there is no way I can make a set of mediums last 7 laps.
I started 4th (I did my quali in the GTR like everyone else, but I like variety) and used the superior brakes of the Atenza to get into 3rd (cleanly, though obviously risking a dive bomber) at T1. First and second towed me around pretty good of course and I got passed them under braking / in penalty zones etc. I was holding onto first until I started playing lawn mower. What position did you start from? That is an advanced level punting technique. Brilliant
That was amazing. Best Monza turn 1 punt I've ever seen![]()
Did i say in my earlier post that a few days ago i saw a guy get bumped into the pitlane during a race? I found out that i saved the replay of that "race".
Little background:
Half past midnight, extra dirty lobby ran by a Gentleman and his 4-5 friends, plus us other poor guys that decided to join that lobby.
They couldn't make a single clean lap, in all the 6 or 7 races i took part in, there were people ramming each other, cutting every single turn and getting 30 years penalities. Best thing about this lobby is that the grid order was decided by the host, so i always started from 10-12th position and had to make my way through that HELL.
There was a Gentleman in the black Citroen GT who was part of that "crew" and one in the RSR who was just a random guy (who actually drove pretty well and i had a few pretty nice battles with him).
So what happens?
The Gentleman in the black GT decides that the RSR shall not pass, therefore proceeds to "politely" force him to mow the lawn.
Guy in the RSR decides that the favour should be returned.
I personally think that no one should answer back to these "gentlemen", but that handmade drive-through penalty was smooth as hell.
PS: The livery you have doesn't mean anything. Anyone could be a dirty player.
I am not a dirty player and i go around with a Chrome GTR with a "Let me pass ya tool!" sticker in the front bumper and a "How's my driving? 1-800-I DON'T CARE" sticker in the back, a Chrome Ford GT with a "Warning, i drive with a controller" sticker in the front bumper and, last but not least, a Citroen GT with a Nutella livery![]()

I have been doing well with the SLS. Fantastic fluoro orange fanta liverySo is the SLS-AMG good at Monza? I would think so, given how it’s better in straights.
And what do you make of my introspection that I may’ve been trying to pass where I shouldn’t be at Tokyo Expressway South Outer Loop? Such as T1 on lap 2 or 3. Especially since there’s a decent amount of straight track where I could try passing or out-braking otherwise.
EDIT: I could try recording a race at Tokyo South via the PS4's native recording, and then post it here for review.
Everyone in the lobby was on RSSQuestion. Why where you on IM tyres?

I just try my best not to touch any other cars, because if you get bounced into a wall, you could end up with a 5 second penalty.Thoughts on Race A in general? I’m still wondering if I should try being less aggressive near the various turns when there’s plenty of straight track. I’m especially thinking I should prioritize avoiding other drivers, especially near the hairpin and those initial few turns.
So tonight I raced Lando Norris in race C at Monza. I was second. He beat me with 21 seconds...
