Why not? To me it makes more sense than having pit stops that barely take longer than the time it takes to get down there main straight, because from what I'm seeing people are just exploiting that. If there are mandatory pit stops and someone does a two stop strategy, that needs to be an actual risk in time loss compared to a one stop. I see the fastest drivers in my lobbies do it and their time loss is negligible.
I've been running hards for 5 laps, and then mediums for 3 - seems to work OK, went from 11th to 6th, and then 11th to 3rd today. So funny seeing cars coming up behind me flashing their lights, and then starting to drop back as their tyres go off! That's true. I've been trying to make long runs on H work only to see the leaders stop and come back out ahead.
The hards are useless and take you out of contention. Might double stop from now on.

Even two-stoppers seem to struggle a bit on the last lap (especially the Beetle, for some reason).

Race C 1H/4M/3M?
I would switch the 4M to the last run. Less fuel weight tyres will last longer in thoery..
I wonder if Tweeting at Michelin about the **** tire life in GTSport would get them to stop doing these ridiculous 15x tire wear races?I agree, it should take longer. But not nearly as long time as it would in real world. No one would pit on a 8 lap race anyway.
1 Race A today. Started pole. Got a clean race bonus.

Feeling quite disappointed at my race pace at Kyoto. Not slow in the grand scheme of things but way off the pace of guys I compete against in FIA, which is discouragingMaybe it's a pad disadvantage at the track, x15 tire wear doesn't help either, but I should be doing better than this
Two races on my main today, one P3 and one P2 (atrocious pace from pole) to just barely (by 9 points) bring me above 76000 DR. Doesn't feel like it's worth much though.
Managed to get my qualifying time down to 2:18 on Race C, now being matched against people that are doing it in the low 2:16s. I feel like I'm wringing everything out of the car and then to see people that are going 2 seconds faster is a bit annoying. I struggle to get the correct line and gear combos on the transitions between both the tracks. Anyone got any good tips on how to do them properly?
I don’t know the track we’ll so I’ve been using the line aid. Follow the yellow brick road.
Being off line is very costly in tires and time. Tcs with partial throttle really helps in those tricky bits, to maintain a higher minimum speed and have the car more stable in the event of unintended collisions. Good luck!

Good to know I'm not the only one struggling with this then. It's a shame because I actually enjoy the combo, and my pace + the amount of effort that has gone into it clearly doesn't reflect thatThat track with that tyre wear rate is toxic for DS4, I've not even tried. Because of the way the steering works, you really work the front tyres using the DS4 in those long corners. You've no chance.
You can still come out to the Friday night races. 👍
It’s not as if tire wear is simply a fixed rate based on car.
Turning on line and not overdriving might help folks eating tires like crazy, even using tcs too.

I knew it.Normally I would. But the better half deserves some attention too.![]()
