The first race of the week for me. I got my new controller today, but at the same time my TV broke, so back to the old while the big one is in the shop.
So sitting 50 cm from the screen....
I refuse to run a FF. So I entered C in the Mustang. P4 in a field with mostly FF, and a few FR further back.
Made it to P1 but ran deep in the hairpin and was p4. Finished P2, all clean race apart from one bump I made on a TT in the COMI.stayed behind as a courtesy.

Is it just me, it is the SR being REALLY strict lately? I'm getting single SR drops (None of them my fault) and I end a 10 lap race losing SR, even if the rest of the race is clean.

I just want to get back to 99SR for the race tomorrow, but I'm going further downwards.
Right there with you. Had two races plus a disconnect and lost 32 SR last night. Now I need to grind that SR back up for FIA. I know I can drive from the back and gain a bunch of SR but lower SR means higher chances of winning so I'm just trying to be fast but clean.

Went to battle at Spa again and dusted off the Jaguar, and finally got under 2:21 with a 2:20.869 (I'm getting better with the controller), which put me 12th. Little battles with a F1 GTR, another Jaguar and Audi were great, but the ending of the race was one of the best I've had playing this game. The guy in the Viper even congratulated on capitalizing getting a podium!

Your lines are really good, so are your braking points. You just need to stop the rear getting out on you at the end of long straights under heavy braking. I cannot get below 222 so under 221...hats off.

It's amazing how many spots you gain by just keeping clean and hitting apexes.

Holy Crap thank you! I didn't know I was really that good with only a good month and a half on the game, nevertheless recently figuring out how to push with a rear brake bias! Still got a lot to learn tho.:gtpflag:

One subjective question, just wondering your preference. For daily races, car/combo aside, for this exercise let’s assume the 3 daily races are good for your liking and somehow limited time during the week to play:

How you tend to break it down?
Decent amount of time doing Qualy and 1 daily per day (as many races you can do due to limited time) or you play 2 or even all the dailies if possible during same day/week?

At the moment since takes me a while to get an “average” QT (probably close or most often below) and/or get back to that similar pace for a new day, I just focus on one daily race per day. Last three weeks I only have played 2 out of 3 during the week, one per day.

I usually play all 3 races through the week and most days. I do about 10 mins qualifying with leader ghost. Then I race and choose different cars most of the time, getting in some free practise between races.

Essentially a lot more racing than qualifying. I'll find some daily race more fun than others and tend to play them more through the week. This week I enjoy race C and A, only played B a few times.

I find it hard to do more than one...If I do more there will be an alt involved generally.
Or, if I have time and already know the tracks, do one until I get tired of it then switch. (Doesn’t usually happen)

I spend most of my time doing the longer races. They provide more seat time, which leads to more experience.

For qualifying, I'll use a car I'm comfortable with and lay down at least 10 consistent laps. Then race throughout the week. I rarely re-qualify.

I should have known better than to run a race C when there is FIA on.... Every one is trying to get higher points so they drive like idiots. Ended in SR a...
You're lucky - I ran two races today, got two SR downs in each race from being rammed, and went down from SR S to B.....

I usually use race C to protect my SR - doesn't work out that way this week :boggled:

After I got disconnected from Manufacturers I ran a race C to salvage the SR damage and there was an A driver on pole, me as a B in p2, and a field of D drivers to fill the rest. I went fast lap 1 and cruised after that. By the esses lap 1 we had a massive lead on p3 so I just went steady to keep p2 and ignore anything but clean racing. Had some nasty ones there this week though.

.
I only exclusively do race C, so this is usually how it goes:
Monday: reserved for qualyfing (which I never touch again), watching live streams and reading comments here to know if there are any advantageous strats I may have missed (I hate going in blind)

Tuesday to Friday: 2 to 5 daily races since I have limited time

Saturday: race at every chance I get
Monday: practice for the following week's race and do some daily races if they're really good...

Monday: repeat

Do any fellow controller players actually enjoy Autopolis?
I am struggling a lot... I can't keep the rear of the '16 GT-R composed and I've gone off track more times than I count... I don't remember it being this bad last time I tried it...
The only real difference is that now we're on hard tyres... It shouldn't make a such a big difference, should it?

Edit: changed to the 2016 Lexus... It seems I'm better with it... Gives me far more confidence

Thanks to the ones who have answer my question. It’s good to know other’s process for daily races.

Due to some people do not re-qualify makes me wonder if there is an extra benefit by not doing that or is just personal preference?

Most likely during the week people starts to improve pace, lap times, consistency and such. On the other hand others might re-qualify and potentially start on higher positions on the grid.

I usually work a little on qualifying each day, depending on if I get logged on at an odd time. I also usually run a few laps between races unless I have something else I need to do. I found often that I need a faster time later in the week to start in the same spot, and it usually helps to be up there for races so you can often avoid mid pack carnage. I also tend to have to be more protective of my position and aware of others on fridays as the weekend people log on and come in rusty and not up to the routine yet.
