Man I’m getting scared of entering those high speed harpins at Fuji! I’ve been off my game so I don’t trust myself and brake early, so I’ve been giving away the inside to people in my draft pretty much.

lol this seems to really confuse people and gets alittle funky, but been clean!

Had some really good racing with people here, and recognize some folks, and building bonds seems to really help.

Being off my game and my controller analog getting funky (uh oh) I’ve been bummed out from a few spins, simply because it’s been fun racing! But... then I find a new friend!

So tonight, good clean racing in mid-b.

(just people I was racing, seen plenty of carnage lol)

goodluck!
I saw you in B (well done) and in C (rough first couple of laps). A pleasure racing with you!

Also saw @KosmoKazi in race A, congrats on the podium.

Presented without a lot else to say. This is why I need to just park the account except for FIA races. Between a crap Willow Springs race, getting disconnected because of a game freeze (very very rare for me... I've only been disconnected from maybe 3 of the ~600 or more races I've entered, and it wasn't a standard network issue, the game froze), and then this pig of a human, who should be banned from GT Sport for life if he acts like this, I'm beside myself. It's absurd that people can be allowed to use the servers and our paid services to do this.

Watch as he deliberately rams the lead pack in T1, from from the start. He then goes on to conduct three complete laps of absolute garbage behavior. And what? Nothing can be done. I mean, you have not chance: you can't make it to the first apex, until the carnage is happening, and it's deliberate, clearly.

All this cost me my A rating after just a day. I'm going to get the A back and then quit racing Dailies with this account. I'm just fed up with the BS.

I'll be using another account for Dailies as soon as I repair this damage to my main account. I give up.

Here's the offender's DR/SR: what a joke. Why on earth would the game match him with A/S drivers, there were four or five better guys than me in the lobby. This driving record simply should mean he is NEVER matched with a driver who has a 99. Ever. It's virtually impossible to NOT get a 99 at some point, yet he manages to go for weeks without coming close. Unreal.

Had a few good races with the Supra at Seca earlier in the week, some wins too. Tried the Cayman for a bit more pace, but the gearing puts me to sleep. Finally settling on the TT as I refuse to use the RCZ. Sadly as my pace got faster the races got duller(people sitting on the racing line after serving a penalty is pretty lame), tempted to try my luck at Fuji.

I think daily races should move to more of an FIA format. You can qualify for the next race while in the waiting screen, and that Q lap only counts for that race. FP would be to test out cars and build the leaderboard only, like in FIA, but have no bearing on race. Then everyone can be happy. :)
Solid idea. Why do "Daily Races" have qualifying times that last all week? The dumbest is when an update changes settings mid-week. Just keep it so players can chase their best car/time ghost for the week.

This is Gran Turismo. We love cars. The game should encourage players to try different cars. It does the opposite now.

Don't know how these programs work, but a shuffle would be pretty cool. I know the main problem are the BOP for each car. However, a shuffle would be pretty cool. How many players would quit? How many would wind up with the same car Xtimes in a row?

I do agree with there should be qualifying available before each race. E/B style ghosting for 5 minutes.

Ha really!? Didn’t see ya, too focused on not being my own worst enemy lol.

Good B race if I remember, enjoy skirting around with the 86 8). Super wobbly, was my warm up for c 8)

Yea that C race had a few people slow/say sorry to me, but I was at fault me thinks. Wish they could hear me say, sorry just go! Lol
Next race got 2 penalties from major crashes ahead, so karma was returned lol.

Edit - Lol I know who you were now. That run in we had at Fuji was me lol. And you had to follow my rough few laps lol. Glad we ran together a little atleast!

No Viper to defang, but had my tyres ruined by P2(that finished 1st) and a few others behind it. Just dove up my inside and continued to try and bully me down the order. Felt like punting everyone in top 5.

I fought back and nudged my way back to P1 before the final turn. A C7 had a penalty, while behind me in P2. So, don't know if it was the culprit.

Anyway, all four tyres had red. :indiff:

Changed my strategy. Could have made the RCZ go a bit further on the RMs as it was sliding so much. Half race distance, just pit for RH.

I don't block so, RCZ got the run and inside at T1 on Lap 11.

It'll happen, you'll get back to A before you know it. When I first hit A I was only there for day or so when daily race changed to Monza and I discovered what they call a rank reset fell out of A and into 7000DR D rank, ha. Just don't let that happen to you!

I'm now Sr.A again thanks to all that.

This is piece of on-board action from the previous race, I wish all worked out like this, they normally don't. ;)

Then in Sr A I encountered @LVS_1986 and a number of aggressive drivers and blockers which ended with this, where I did my best Matt Neal impression to finally get past. :indiff:

I expected a penalty but once again no penalty when I actually do something wrong, I just get clobbered to death with them when racing clean.

Thanks... but it was foolish of me to be there. I should have avoided the Daily Races! The game crash/disconnect while running in 3rd + the idiot rammer resulted in a 3000 point swing, compared to where I was when running in a podium place again after that race! I'll never learn...

Woke up early and ran a couple to see what happens at this time of day. Was able to run up front, won the second race, but the limited pool of drivers in the Americas region means that a 3rd place means no SR gain, and even a win was not even worth 500 points, and I lost SR from the usual garbage at the first turn, which you just can't avoid if you want to protect your lead and get away in position to win. Maddening.

Thanks... it is so discouraging, for sure. But yeah, I'm sure I can jump over the A/B line again shortly. Hope anyway!

Oh next week looks cool!

Just popping in to jump on the FF balancing complain train.

The RCZ is a crap car to drive, and the way it is now, on top of all the negatives that come with its balancing, I think it encourages less experienced people to use it, compounding the problems it causes times 10.

I like Gr4 cars, so pretty annoying, especially when I can crush my laps times on first try using the RCZ with no practice.

lower dr lobbies make less of a difference, but it still throws a monkey wrench into every corner.

50 to 70 percent of the lobby ...Unfortunately

Gotta say. I know its pointless to bring up the penalty system. But I reckon today it has been so much worse than usual. Penalties for the slightest contact, and to add insult to injury, you get slammed with a penalty, when someone divebombs you.

Also. That last clip, definitely appreciate how patient and clean you were. But so damn satisfying to see him nudged out of the way at the end, and no penalty for you.

Yes normally I would not bother and just let them have the place that mattered so much to them but it was too good of an opportunity to miss. I didn't even have to do anthing special because I'd accidently bump cars wide all the time here if I didn't go wider like I usually do to make sure this does not happen. I did think I'd get a penalty though, hit them a bit harder than I'd have liked. :indiff:

I checked his history and no surprise here:

He's kept within SR S range thanks to today's system of reward the rammer and punish the clean. Kudos for not dropping down to his level and remaining patient. I think many others would have dealt with him a bit differently.

That's an interesting SR history... you can see right when the changes were made... and how it totally eliminates the efficacy of the system (despite that the 'eye' test makes it easy to spot him as trouble).

Does it not reset your rank anymore if your SR gets too low? There is one person I always know to stay far away from and noticed he's currently at 29,000 DR and 16 SR points.... I was at 30,000 DR when my SR went down to 46 and it reset my DR to 3,000 why not this guy?

Hope none of y'all come across this person from Argentina. He's actually fast but incredibly dirty as well. He came across a football field once just to punt me from 1.5 seconds back on the final turn of the final lap because I flashed my lights at him accidentally while making a clean pass.

Your SR can not be more then two Letter levels below DR, So a DR A driver can’t drop below SR C or they get reset. He was only at DR B with 29k, so that’s why.

Glad to see I’m not the only one frustrated with Fuji and the penalty system. I’m getting punished the slightest contact and mystery SR down arrows and penalties while five bombers get away scot-free and give me their penalties instead.

I got punted out of the lead at the hairpin today, it was all I could do not to rage-quit so that I could report three of the top five. Absolute horrorshow of crap drivers.

Whatever changes they’ve made have made GTS an unenjoyable experience once again. Going to put down the controller until it’s fixed.

Yes if there is a pile up at the hairpin, usually caused by someone a few cars back, the person at the front (out of the bumped ones) gets the penalty for it.

This just happened to me, got me a 2 second penalty, later on a different car makes a mistake and hits me into the driver in front so they get a 1 second penalty, yet again instead of the one who started the chain reaction.

This is a A/A+ room too and they were not doing it on purpose, imagine what someone who is doing on purpose can achieve.

that divebomb coming from another galaxy was nothing short of beautiful in the execution in the very last lap

Yes @djidane57 I never saw it coming so I was like what the 🤬 as it made me jump. Watching the video back I think it was "revenge" for the incident way back towards the start of the video, even though that wasn't really the other drivers fault but they got a penalty for it.

the last sector of Fuji is awful because people somehow think they’ve earned the right to the inside line from 2 car lengths back, and always end up divebombing you off track smh ‍:banghead:

After everyone showing Fuji craziness I decided to have a tool around Alsace in race A. Plenty of fun, a car that wants to spin and kill you if you don't watch it, but also one that you can save. I had several good races there after accidentally setting a Q time. That first complex of corners up and down the hill is an SR graveyard though. I was mainly ok but 2 of us got penalties 1 race on lap 1 when the driver between us slid the hairpin, causing them to bounce off us as they got it under control. Nothing bad though. We still all finished in a pack racing for p3 at the end so it was good. Don't even want to qualify for C in case I need a chance to run from the back cleanly. Much more enjoyable than my FIA the other night.

It was nice to see you, great job you did starting from the back:cheers: I wasnt so lucky in this race, started 3rd until some 🤬 hit me from the back before chickane I think, havent watch replay yet... Then slowly gaining positions... It was lot cleaner at the begining of the week, now its "drive to survive"

Later I upload replay, brit guy with Very high A, almost A+.... I always think that so fast guys drive clean... Pathetitic

Heres the replay, its worth mentioning that he started on pole and got hitted off track 2 or 3 times so probably was very frustrated, but I didnt even touch him...
