This is the 2nd UK streamer I've seen clubbing baby seals in the Americas recently. Is this a thing now?

Alt accounts with lower DR, don't bother qualifying, just to show off for fans. Shouldn't they be setting better examples?
I wish I had known who he was, ahead of time. I definitely would've pulled some crazy stuff to spice up the video. :mischievous:

Certain people are lightning in the Mcclaren too, but I prefer Big Iron. The Ferrari is slow unless you really nail the apexes at high speed and come off the corner with momentum.
I’d rather be the bully then get bullied.
In a handling car at Brands if your apex speed gets slowed you’re a sitting duck on the straight.
In a power car you can just park on apex hold a tight line there’s really nothing anyone behind can do unless they are very very good. If they are I’ll tip my cap and give them credit,
Below A plus you can really drive whatever you like if you get used to the car and like it.
Being good with a few cars or one or two is way more valuable in race vs just copying the meta.
More power to ya, Ferrari guy!

Good points! I’ve been comfortable with this car, but reading this mornings comments about the WRX I might give it a go tonight.

Eh, he said he just made the new account and from my experience racing with him he drove very alertly. I have no issue with streamers or anyone for that matter hopping servers every now and then. Plus he gets to include more of his fans by doing so.

We where discussing this on TPC, that it's setting a bad example. Even worse is the "Bad driver this, bad driver that" teaching the followers not to take responsibility for theirs own actions in race.
Not all of them, but some run into way too much trouble with dirty drivers, to the point where you have to wonder if they instigate stuff for content.

I have great respect for the driving ability. That's not in question.

Neither is crossing regions. Or alt-accounts. Or not qualifying. All can be used to improve.

I'm saying they should race at their ability.

Right, but if he just made the account are you suggesting he reach out to PD and skip his DR to A?

Well if they do instigate it they don't actually need too. If you start at the back you'll come across enough trouble anyway, in fact the ones I've seen (I've no idea whether they are a streamer or not) behave aggressively tend to get away without much trouble if they don't get caught by the penalty system.

It's when you are patient that the real trouble can start because they notice you behind and start defending/blocking and if it takes you a while to get by, often in a less than ideal place, the overtaken driver usually pushes/bombs straight back again pretty quickly before you get away. Then of course some other cars get involved and it gets very messy.

I wouldn't be surprised if streamers want lots of action though, especially total chaos and stupid penalties, that's what all the people (who may donate to them) will want to see. They won't want to watch a drive away to victory from the front or a nice clean race with no drama.

GR.4 Bathurst. Return of the RCZ, Megane and F-Type?

GR.3 LS. Return of the R8? Or will the Evo and WRX be the METAs?

I should have been clearer. I know how he/she does it. Just drives at the back knocking over signs and cones and any other moveable reference points.

What I don't know is why. What enjoyment do they possibly get from this?

I am sort of embarrassed, it looks like my kudosprime record but I can guaranty that is NOT how I drive. Was this a warning to stay away from this racer?

I've got some videos of people from here, that I haven't posted. They're saved, in case I ever need them.

Good morning friends,

The TT is completely overrated. I mean it’s BRANDS. Use whatever you have to go qualify I suppose but this car can control the track very very easily vs the wimpy TT.

<...snip...>

No one likes the ridiculous ff.

Enjoy your races today!
I cannot get within half a second of my Scirocco time with the TT, Megane or Trophy. Just cannot.

<...snip...>
I am in S and A/B rooms and finishing mid pack, holding my DR so this is clearly where I belong.

Thanks for the tip, just tried this and knocked half a sec off my quali time... it drives well here!

It is so exciting to have an FF week at Brands! I have not ran FF seriously since St Croix - at Dragon Trail I opted for the RWD cars. This is my second race week at Brands and am familiar with the track.

@Groundfish, the TT is great! C'mon in the water is warm.

@NevilleNobody, there is something to the VW Sirocco, for sure. I am not familiar with it and tried to utilize its mid corner strength. The shorter gear ratio makes Druids and Graham Hill be natural 3rd gear corners. It matched the TT for my optional QT time. In more familiar hands it could be the winner.

The mandatory stop will mask the tire wear weaknesses of the FFs.

Finally had a clean race today with no offs or contact penalties.

I am sticking with the TT, though will try a RWD in practice. Need to know the competition, y'know.

Cheers.

I personally don't mind as long as they don't use it as an excuse to create chaos.

*Next week's races are already posted.

A: Kyoto/Miyabi - N100
B: Mt. Panorama - Gr.4
C: Laguna Seca - Gr.3

Looks like a less than savory week for me.

You are very welcome to make a shame video of my superior driving skills, but I just want you to know I learned all this 🤬 for real almost half a century ago in a 1962 Buick.View attachment 975868

I should be good at these FF races. I learned to drive on an '88 Yugo. No, seriously. And it was a manual. No, seriously. And my other training vehicle was a '75 Chevelle. A big floaty car & a small car. No better driver's education than that. 👍

Dang. Down to A/A. Evo kept braking early every corner. I started 18th with a TT behiund me. FIgured I'd get past the early braker. Nope. I had to let the TT go after a few turns. The Evo just lets the TT go by.

After 3 laps, I finally dispatch the Evo. First lap pit stoppers catching up to me. One in a TT and the other in a GT-R. GT-R wasn't flash so, I stayed pon its bumper. Did my pit and came out last behind you-know-who.
Early brakes before the back straight.:banghead: Okay, It's not going to early brake down the back straight. Just dab the brake and turn. Nope. FULL ON damn near stops! BAM! Off it goes into Gundungaland. Oh well. I keep racing. No penalty. I do get a track penalty for .5 and 3 seconds for a Scirocco exiting pits while I'm passing the GT-R up the inside at T1.

Ran a Carrera Cup race and I'm put in a room where I'm 4 seconds faster than P2. Oh well.

Now, back to Race C. Starting 4th with all D/S drivers from 5th to 18th. Jimini Cricket....

Edit: Alrighty then. Moved up 3 positions.

I was in that race, you were nearly 10 seconds a lap quicker than me. Ha ha. I have nfi where to find 3 seconds, let alone 10.
That comes with time. I was nowhere for a good while. Still am a couple seconds away from the top players. Anyway, those tyres on the 996 don't help . ;)
