Oh yay yeh, it was there in alerts this time

"Pigems mentioned you in a post in the thread Daily Races with Friends, Fridays @ 9pm EST. All Drivers Welcome..

Time to paint some cars!

Your tag worked 👍 I'll be along tonight, I need to buy the cars first.

Yea I got the tag. Can't race tonight though sorry

Sweet! I was copy and pasting the list from the previous posts before and leaving in the text the site adds to it when you edit/quote a message, I removed all of that this time. I’m happy to hear that it worked. :)

Won't be able to make it tonight...once again. I'll be in Toronto for the next two weeks, while my PS is still back in Brazil.

If anyone wants to grab a beer over the next few weeks, on the other hand, let me know!

I almost got you last time we did the Gr.1 Lemans race. Of course, that was when you started at the back.
Either way, it was still one of my favorite races in Pigems friends lobby racing. 👍

And now I start the connection dance. I'll try to also reset the modem/router to see if it will do an IP release & renew. I'll also delete the temp data again before joining. Now to drop some coin in some cars.

I had to quit. Every time I got on a grid everyone behind me got glitched. :(
The biggest disappoinment though was the disconnect on the first race, I'd not have won but I really wanted to see the replay of a full lap of door to door with no (consequential) contact on Tsukuba.

My connection I thought might be flakey after we had a power outage last week. I had to re-start everything to get the connection running after, but I noticed Netflix and Prime were both pausing every so often, which they didn't before. Today, since re-starting the game didn't work and shutting down the PS4 didn't work, I'd try shutting down all the network stuff and restart each box one by one, following the flow of the connection. Didn't work the first time, I had no internet on re-boot, but the phone still worked, so I re-started the router a second time. That seemed to work and I was able to get back online, join the lobby and participate in the bonus races.

I suspect my router is a bit....unstable after the power came back on.

I'm not entirely sure that @Pigems server was running cleanly either after that power glitch he suffered, some of the views I was getting back were pretty screwy. When spectating the TV cam would only give a view from one location and every race it was showing me @NoStopN parked right on the apex of a difficult corner.

On the plus side, I filled in the time @ race B and busted my PB for DR :D ... now up to over 14K.

Power failures can really screw things up. More stuff gets fried when power comes back on again. We lost two Fox boxes in the past when power came back on. After having the Telsta TV box wi-fi'ing from the modem rather than the router, no streaming issues, so that kinda gives credence to the faulty router theory. Not sure if I actually need a router or just a switch .

@Pigems , you having any issues with other stuff after your power glitch?

If you have more than one internet device, you need a router. Your modem may include router functions, check the specs. If it doesn't you'll need a separate router.
Edit: If the modem has it's own wifi, it more than likely has router functions.
