Sweet! Nice job man. 👍

Thanks Swiss. :)

How do you do that? Tutorial please?

Ummm. I'll think about it. If I have enough time before I go back to school, then sure. 👍

that's sick man! a bit dark, but it's really nicely done.

I'm noticing that now. It looked just fine on the monitor I did it on, but as I look at it on other computers, I can see.:ouch: Thanks.👍

I second that. :sly: I'd love to be able to give some of my cougar's bigger wheels etc. in some of my pictures. I have Gimp 2.6 BTW. Thanks. :):)

The big wheels were the easy part. :) I preffer gimp 2.4 myself, but that's becoming harder and harder to find the installation exe, so I saved it on my hard drive a while ago. 👍

Nice shot, but it's a little dark. If you'd take a shot that had more natural light from the game and do the same to it, then it would be better.

I'm sure I commented on the body mod shot, but I don't see it, so:

THAT IS AMAZING! It looks nice but isn't too overdone. How long did it take?

^Noted.

24hrs elapsed time. If I had to make a guess as to how much of those 24hrs I was actually working, then maybe 4-5hrs. It was my first time doing something like this, so it took me a while.

240 looks REAL nice 👍 The front plate looks a bit out of place, but the whole shot looks great!

Thanks. :) You can learn a lot from gimp by just spending time on it and messing around with different filters/tools.

I have a small update for all of you. The Integra I started and finished today, but I've had the 240sx on hold for a few months.

Sometimes when I get bored the ricer in me comes out. This next Integra was just a casualty of my ricerness.

And, well, I've always like the fronts from the newer Silvias put onto hatch backs, and I wondered if I would be able to pull it off with GT4 cars. I ended up having to swap the side skirts also, just to make it look right. I think I got pretty close, but color matching was a huge problem. I could never get the two quite right so I just gave it a "primer" paint job.:guilty: Enjoy :)

If that had different rims and the pop-up light 240SX front it would look just like my neighbor's car. Nice job.

the dc5 is a bit blurry, bit gives a more realistic touch since panning isn't really easy in real life. the silvia, however is a brilliant idea. i was thinking about doing that yesterday, but with a different car. as for the paint job, well you could've just used the burn filter to match the front, or maybe even do a little gamma adjustment. it's not exactly easy. maybe try it with a black car next time. and different rims would help too :D
but i like the idea though, and i think you pulled it off well. just use a better composition with the car next time. great to see you updating here again.

It's blurry around the edges because I took the shot a long time ago and it was an in game blur, and the aperature wasn't quite right. :/ And I don't believe Gimp has a burn filter. I'm pretty limited, but I think I'm going to upgrade to CS3 pretty soon, so I'll keep this in mind. And as for the wheels, I did that because I had no other choice. I didn't have GT4 with me for a good while when I did this shot, but I think I'm gonna put on some other rims later today if I get bored. :)

GIMP does indeed have a burn tool, it's included in the options menu on the dodge/burn tool.

Anyway, I like the Silvia pic, I'd take jg's suggestion and fix the front a little. To add to what he said, you could select the S15 part of the car and change the hue/saturation a little, which might make it look better.

Oh, now I feel stupid.:dunce: He said filter so I automatically thought of the filter dialog and not tools. I'll try these things and might put up a revised shot after I prepare some competition entries.

i always thought you used photoshop the whole time ? didn't you ? about the silvia, fix the rest of the car, but not the front. it's easier to just use the burn tool on the rest of the body than trying to match the front end with the rest.

Gallery news

I'm back, and hoping it's for good. I'm working on a fairly large update, but my PMC tournament entry is very related to the update, so I'm gonna have to wait for the qualifier round to finish before I release these new shots.👍 It's good to see new people in the photomode community, but sad to see some others that have left. :(

Ughhh. I'm about to start making my first panel. I'm really just posting this up so I can see how long it takes me. Hopefully I'll be done later tonight, and my new update will (obviously) come with it.

Eh not too happy with it, but it's good for a first attempt at a panel. I need more creativity with it. =/ Btw, the top right was my PMC tournament qualifier that just barely got me onto round 1.

they're all looking pretty good David. specially the first and the last one.
the panel looks about right to my eyes. i haven't even done one for a while,
let alone an update. good job.

Hey guys! I'm back, I don't know for how long though. I completely forgot Gran Turismo existed until I saw E3 trailers today. I'm so excited for GT5 photomode, so I guess I'll see you guys over on the other side.
