If TS only holds 10, maybe we could use in-game direct voice chat when we're in a group and if we split up into smaller groups we could have designated comms guys on a TS channel to co-ordinate the teams. That would be a little more realistic because as it is it's as if we all have radios which we don't actually have in-game. Then when people join the server and are miles away from anyone they can join TS to find out where to be then disconnect from TS again.

Also, Legendary, if you head east (with the sea on your left) you'll hit the fire station and supermarket, the former spawns military loot sometimes and I've found a map in almost every supermarket I've ever been to. It'll be hotter than any other area in Cherno (except for the hospital) but if you're careful and make it out alive (which I didn't the first time I went there because I opened fire on a guy who had a MUCH better gun than I) you stand to gain some good stuff. At the same time, though, you might leave empty-handed and it'll have been a waste of time.

I'm heading online now to investigate... Things.

Isn't the TS3 server just able to hold 10 people though or did I read that wrong before?

Yes its 10 slots at the moment but I can upgrade, instantaneously I think, if we need. Until now I think the most we had on was 6? BTW this is not a trial.

I should be on around 10-11am PST Friday.

PS Apologies for double post... I guess I could have quoted both questions in a single message? Will try that next time.

Oh man I'm scared, but I think I'm safe now. First of all, I died, then loads of stuff happened and now I have some car parts, an M1014 and I'm on the road south of Pusta. Where should I head to next?

^So good, then I should be able to join you guys, but I need to respawn, I am near death somewhere.

Though I can't play too long normally, I have a wedding tomorrow ( I hate weddings, always getting asked when I do it:ouch:)

If TS only holds 10 how many does Ventrilo hold? We can switch the trials between each other, that could last us a few weeks

Ugh, weddings are only fun when close friends get married:P
By they way, which language area are you from in Luxemburg, Ibo?

^Nice story 👍 made me chuckle

Thanks but I thought it might be a little long for the thread, especially since everyone has similar stories. I decided to check out Pusta, found a revolver and two loads of ammo for it but still no food. Now I'm in what is possibly the least interesting and most barren part of the map so it's not looking great...

Luxemburgish  I speak 4 languages fluently though, and understand a bit of dutch, italian and spanish.

Yes family weddings are lame, but it's just the reception thank god

I had a wind screen and a jerry can at some point yesterday, but dropped them in favor of some stuff I could actually use :p

Keep heading North past Pusta, there is a deer stand almost on the road between Guglovo and Shakhovka, loot it (watch out for Zeds) and head North East to Polana. Hit the Polana supermarket for more gear and food. Then head North until you're in the woods. You should now have a decent loadout and be near our area of operations.

Thanks, I'll see if I can make it that far but as it is my food level is approaching the red and I still haven't found anything to eat, I'm getting so desperate that I'm now actively hunting zeds in the hope they'll drop a tin of food. I'm near Mogilevka and I'm pretty sure I wouldn't make it as far as Guglovo in my current condition and Polana is twice as far away from me as that! Frankly I think it's better if my current character dies because I'm just under 7000bp, my M1014 is dry and apart from the gas tank parts and windshield I don't think I have anything of use. I'll raid Mogilevka and if I still have no food when my hunger starts flashing I'll log off and let you all decide whether the stuff I'm carrying is worth a rescue mission, if not I'll just die but if so I'll give you my precise location and log in when you get close or something. If you were planning to raid Cherno or Elektro anyway I'm sort of on your way I suppose.

Hey walker, think you will update the server to 1.7.2.1 (or is it .2) today?

I have food and can meet you northeast of Mogliveka. Let me know.

well i am unconscious right by the red car lol. Got swarmed by zombies saving neema. I will wait until later when you guys get on so someone can save me lol.

Damn, I tried so hard to distract them all... Really sorry about that. I didn't think I'd see you again so I thought I'd try to lose them myself, then you showed up with the sniper rifle and I saw a few zeds going for you. I thought I could probably distract them while keeping a safe distance but I guess I was wrong.

I'm in a pretty bad way myself so I want to donate all my gear to the camp and then be used as zed or human bait for whatever you have planned later on, I'm in a worse situation now than I was when I started because my painkillers have been replaced by chem lights and a steak but no fire apparatus to cook it on. I also have an M1014 with no ammo and a revovler in a similar situation, but I kept the windscreen (shield) and fuel tank parts. I need to do something useful before I die to make up for the rescue that I pretty much ruined by getting my rescuer in trouble!

Surviving such situations is what makes this game awesome!

Yeah I know but it seems that the recent patches have made loot in general harder to find, I can't believe I managed to go as long as I did without finding a single scrap of food... In 1.7.0 I had three tins of food on me, in fact a lot of the time I'd eat and drink unnecessarily just because I was finding food and drink I couldn't carry.

It's all good; I enjoy risky missions. I ran out of ammo on the sub-machine gun you saw. I ran into a lot of zombies on the way to find you. I tried to avoid them but they aggroed anyway. I had one round left when you showed up, and missed the headshot on that single zombie. I tried to pull out my hatchet and take him out but it wouldn't allow me to unequip it from my tool belt. I tried putting inventory in my pack to make room and ended up losing a 1911 I had found on the way and the map newt gave me last night. Aggravating bugs still persist; or perhaps I am just noobing it up. That one zombie single handedly screwed us lol. I have no idea how he aggroed. When we hit the campsite I had to look around for the tent (its hidden well) as soon as I found it I pulled out the rifle and started picking them off of you. As soon as you left about 5 or 6 more showed up, I am guessing they were drawn in from that nearby intersection, and swarmed me. I tried to pick as many off as I could but they got in too close and before I could disconnect they knocked me unconscious.

I have decent gear on me so at least it is in the camp site. At the very least someone could just pick it up if I do end up dying. I am south/southwest within a couple feet from the red car. I have the rifle, clips, some bandages, food, and other crap.

Next time I get on I am on a mission to take out the guy who murdered me. I had this guy pinned down TWICE and he disconnected TWICE while I was pumping rounds into him. Third time I am shooting him point blank and somehow he manages to kill me in one or two shots in the time I put half a mag into him...

If you're reading this... I am coming for you.

I should be on around 11 pst . Going out for lunch then be back ready to play. Do we still have another bison in the tents btw? When I died before for some reason my bison wasn't in my bag so Killer couldn't grab it for me. Thinking we might do an airport run?

Turns out I estimated that wrong lol I will be on in a few mins.

Sounds like an exciting ordeal! One thing I would suggest as constructive criticism, don't shoot anywhere near the campsite or bring in any zeds... this can be a sure way to have our camp found by other players. Alternatively if in a similar situation, try running into woods in an adjacent area (out of gunshot range i.e. 500m+) before taking out the zeds. You can usually lose most zeds in the woods by zig-zagging in the trees as well.

Wow, first luxery problem. Winchester 1866 with some ammo or crossbow with 1 bolt.
I think I'll go with the Winchester.

edit: Detected when I was in a small shed with 1 exit. Winchester saved my life, but down to 7200 blood.

Never bother with the crossbow, it is a waste of space. :P

@ Zoology,

If your backpack is full or nearly full and you place a weapon or large item from your main inventory in it, then it gets destroyed. So be mindfull of switching weapons to your pack. Also keep mind that when you switch weapons ammo tends to get switched as well, further complicating the lack of backpack space.

The probable reason why your hatchet did not work is because you had a pistol in your main inventory sidearm slot. Put the pistol in your pack and then right click the Hatchet and click 'remove from toolbelt'. The Hatchet will then jump to the pistol slot in your main inventory. Switch weapons by pressing the ';' or Enter buttons. You can now use the Hatchet as a weapon. To be able to log wood or equip a pistol you'll need to right click the Hatchet and click 'move to toolbelt'.

I'll be on around the same time as Tastey. I've got an extra m1911 and an m9 Silenced in my back pack (and i think an AK?) if anyone needs them... otherwise, it'll be left inside the southern tents.

By the way, i've just been reading inside the forum and rocket replied to a post about Chernarus actually being small:

"Or other maps... the system is currently modular. It takes about 1 hour of work to have it working on another map. However, I need to get our crippling bugs fixed before we do this. Also, Takistan provides me an issue regarding water :/"

He also replied about using community made maps:

"Oh absolutely agree. Was just using that as an example. I had tried to stick to core content initially just to make it a bit easier installing and achieving interoperability. "

Still alive, managed to get back from 3900 to 8200. Now 1klick away from airfield.

Being on a low populated server makes me hope for the best.

Looks like I'm going to have to miss out tonight, bloody Netflix stealing all my bandwidth again... I imagine by the time this film is finished (and it's not even a good film) you'll all be long gone from the camp and I'll be left there flapping my arms like a big baby. A big baby with a dangerously low blood pressure who is also covered in guns. Guns that have no ammo in them.
