Sounds good but that's mainly good if there are a few of us online. I have been to NW Airfield by myself before with no problems but I usually would stay on 25 slot servers so it was 50 50 with a sniper.

Anyone planning on being online tomorrow? I have the next two days off and plan to play. Just don't want to wander off alone and lose the gear I have atm for no reason.

Forgot it's Thursday tomorrow, so i can't be on. Goodbye tent :( Hopefully, we can all get together by Friday. Having around 7-8 players (or more) at once would be great - how about raiding the coastal cities to gather more car/helo parts? ...and find some more tents for additional storage?
 
Killerbeavis and I found a bus and a "GAZ" while combing the forest for vehicles. Got us a few nice new weapons and such as well. We dumped the bus as it was too loud/obvious to really hide but we looted it real good :) Unfortunately we both died as we went for an on-foot refuel mission in Novy (which BTW, is not an actual refuel station!). Anyways we are pretty stocked with weapons, we do need to make another medical supply run and general gear run for the new spawns. And car parts/tents are always good :) Will be looking for you all on Friday (check for the new server name which should be changing here soon, will list it on teamspeak server intro message).
 
Well guys, I finally installed the new updates, I'm not sure when I'll be on but hopefully I'll see you soon. I'm 'Neema' in-game, I should be somewhere between Pavlovo and Zeleno right now but I haven't logged in in weeks so I'll probably be dying of hunger and thirst and as I recall I have no food or drink... I don't mind starting again, though.

Just meet up with everyone before you attempt to. Last time I logged in I had a bunch of gear. I can throw you some and take you to the NW airfield where there is a good amount of higher powered weapons. I know the guys here that have been playing together for the past few weeks have a good stockpile of gear so I am sure they will help as well.

I'm getting on to update Arma and get all the latest patches. Throw me a request on steam "corner_terrorist"

Mk sounds good. I'll be on a decent amount today but I don't know when I will be on tomorrow. I will go towards the coast and start looking for more supplies and tents. Logging in now.

No, my Steam ID is [BRD] neema_t. I've signed up on the Google Doc thing as well.

I've just had a quick go on the server to reacquaint myself with the game and to see if I can work out what Zeds are like now, turns out they spot you a lot easier but are no harder to kill than before which is great because although my AKM is dry, I have something like 8 Makarov magazines (one of which is nearly empty because I had to 'see to' a couple of pursuing Zeds). Turns out I wasn't in need of food or drink but even if I was I have tins of food, steaks, two water bottles and a can or two of drink. I don't have a lot else though, no map, binocs, compass or any of that good stuff, but I left myself in the treeline to the northwest of Zeleno, poised to check out the supermarket there when I next join. I noticed there wasn't quite such a high incidence of good or even useful stuff, I checked a deer stand, two small buildings and two barns and all I found that wasn't empty tins was a Lee Enfield Suicide Rifle with one mag and a pile of wood which I didn't take.

Anyway, I have no idea where you guys are but I'll try and get online when you are and see what the deal is. The HDR isn't really working with my triple monitor setup (first world problems) so the game is seriously dark 80% of the time, I might have to increase the alpha or something (I don't even know what that is).

I can do it but won't be able to upload for about another week (right now my upload is slow (1 Mbps) but they are about to triple all speeds... hooray!
 
@ walker - Nice one walker 👍 I assume you were able to save the loot though before getting killed?

As for the others, PM walkerbait for our tent locations if you guys need some gear. I forgot them myself lol. Make sure no one's tracking you :)

I think iBo's recording gameplay, but he's been having problems with the new patch.
 
I can mess around with fraps and maybe start recording as well. I am heading towards the coast if anyone needs help just let me know your location and I will head towards you.

I think I'll just wait, I don't need gear, I need people. I can't play for now anyway so I'll get back on in the evening and see who's around on TS and in game.
 
Just spawned at the lighthouse directly east of Cherno. Top of the lighthouse right now. Anyone on or near me? Getting ready to go through Cherno and head to the NW airfield.
 
dude i just died lol. i could have used you about 30 seconds ago! lol. I had't logged on in weeks. Spawned with everything I did have except for my bandages. So... ya starting over...

Fyi, while the Zeds aggro a lot easier now, it's also much easier to break line of sight. You can shake them off real quick.

I noticed, I was being followed by a crawler so I ran to the nearest deer stand (towards which I was already heading anyway), climbed it and the zed came, looked around a bit and sped off again. It's pretty awesome how that works now, I always thought it was odd that the zeds were blind before but would follow you forever.


Did any of you guys have Arma II before Day Z, or did you all buy it for the mod?
 
I bought the game for the mod but I do like the game itself. I play co op sometimes with a friend when we need a break from dayz lol. Best way to learn the mechanics of the game and practice with the guns.

So the server just restarted and I got put back by the northern tents. I'm heading back out and find a crashed heli. Never seen one at night. They stand out pretty well lol but I found an FN FAL ANPV S4. Night Vision is awesome lol which helps a lot as well because it just turned night time on the server. Newt is grabbing the van so we can pick up zoo or corner terrorist whichever you want to call him.

Also we don't need a medical supply run. There was a med box as well so I filled up my bag with it

Ok guys good news/ bad news again.

Good news : especially for dustddriver : I am able to play
Bad news : only on 1.7.2.1 , so I lost my month old caracter and all loot. Meh

What programs do you use to capture video?
I have Fraps, but the trial so I want to make a movie out of numberous 30 sec bits. Better ideas?

Dustdriver, try 1.7.2.1, if it works we two can play a bit togehter.
New patch is hard at start, died in 2min 2 times of Zed attacks.
Then 3rd run, found a Lee E, survived 10 min, shot in the back :(

^Don't use the sixlauncher, use the OAbeta.exe and search for the SE servers those run the prealpha patch.

Hope you can finally enjoy the game ;)

MSI Afterburner (yes, the graphics card tweaking tool) is what I use, it now actually captures audio too! It can also do screenshots. Bloody useful thing, that.

Found a bunch of chem lights, bolts, ammo, bandages, watch , hunting knife, wood, smoke grenade and a can of sardines. No gun yet.

edit: just found a hatchet and tried it out on 2 zombies :p

To the guys on TS, I can't talk because The Expendables is being watched in here but I thought I'd join to listen in anyway... Should I not?

Edit: well that didn't last long, everyone switched over to a passworded channel almost immediately (which is fair enough as I'm an unproven quantity to everyone here except Ibo), I started walking towards a place I thought I knew and was greeted by a gruff voice asking if I was friendly, I said I was (in the text chat) and we decided to go our separate ways and wished each other luck, even though I never even saw the guy who was talking to me. Then I ended up in somewhere completely different to where I'd expected to be and heard zeds so I disconnected. Probably shouldn't have done but I don't mind if I die too much. It's way too dark for me at the moment, what is the server time set to? I'm guessing it's GMT+ something for it to be that dark out.

I logged off close to Vysota (north-west of Chernogorsk)

Will need to find some animals to kill. And a canteen would come in handy too.

I tried connecting last night which is sometime noon in-game - it was pretty full. I tried logging in yesterday morning for a few minutes but it was too dark for my monitor. What do you guys think about swiching back the server time? ...raid NWA with a 10-member team :cool:

EDIT: Should we set a rendezvous point for tomorrow's session?
