I ****ing hate this. Just died again. Lost my AKM and everything I needed to hunt. Was gutting a sheep in the pitch black, was sorting out some stuff so I could put the meat in my backpack and a zombie just walked right into me. I was gutting the sheep because I was low on blood. 1 hit kill. So frustrating.
 
I knew they were walking around near me. Noticed too late one turned randomly in my direction.

Next time I'll just shoot them all to be sure.
 
Press enter to have 3rd person view and hold alt and move the mouse to just turn the head to look around ;)
 
A bit hard when you're moving stuff around in your inventory at night. The bright area in the middle makes everything around it invisible.
 
I assume you got hit by a deerstand zed? Probably a newly spawned one.

I suggest you respawn near Balota Airfield. The military (medical) tents has four deerstands surrounding it. Highly likely you'll get a high powered rifle and enough ammo (i got an AKM and M16A2 from those deerstands alone with my new current character). After that, i usually check the hangar quick (also for high powered weapons) then head straight to nearby Cherno for gear, supplies, and a bigger backpack.

Then head straight North for Stary :)

There's four deer stands right there? Jeez, I thought the Kamenka > Pavlovo > Zeleno deer stand run was good going... Can't believe I never noticed that before! Then again Balota is quite a popular area as far as I can tell so it's a lot riskier.
 
Yeah.. it's a small military medical tent compound near the train tracks. It's tricky to get in though because it's usually swarmed with zeds. At least 3 each deerstand and a couple more inside the compound. Go behind it - along the road where the wrecked trucks/humvees are. There is a break in the barbed wire that you can hurdle to get in.

Oh, and usually the hangar at the nearby airstrip has a few good weapons in it too - along with the control tower.
 
Awesome night! Those guys scared the hell out off me when they drove up with their Jeep. I'm glad I was hiding under a pinetree, managed to take out Mr Ian. Too bad they shot me in the head.

They must be so pissed off right now!
 
So I give you the story what happend the time I was in now.

Spawned other across the map 5-7km. So I run to them meeting point at the camp.
Then I was probably 1.5 klicks out, Jaime spawned at the camp and heard a car approching.

Panic.

He was killed eventually but could fire off some shots(^). I was probably 500 meters out, coming in I saw the Jeep, they didn't saw me as they were packing the goods in the van. Damn Raiders. Leeches!

Fired off my m16 in semi on the guy who was at the back of the vehicule the other I only got one shot on and he got behind the vehicule. Ok
Thought he could catch a granade for me. Booom. I circled around and there he was lying.
the truck was still drivable and the guys had a loooot of loot. A lot of good stuff.

So basiclly our camp there is no good no more, but we got a lot out of it :D

Then we raided some towns and that was basiclly it.

And oh yeah nearly forgot, Beavis lost a tent again. You should really visit the boy scout once :lol:

I got some footage again, and nice one as we were quite a few online. Nice squad but I missed to capture the action due to adrenaline rush. But I will get some, eventually.

I need to play a bit more with the people to get my votes for Lt.s but Tasty seems to know her cakes ;). Will post up my votes in the next days after some more play.

We are really lucky you logged in when you did Jaime and great job Ibo. :D

I am pretty sure it was Jaime who logged in and saw the them 1st. Newt was with us the whole time. I was heading with him towards the camp when everything started.

Thanks! Yeah if Jaime wouldn't have been there I would probably have run into them open arms and thinking it was one of the squad.

I'm downloading 1.7.2.3 right now and for the first time play DayZ. I think it is finally time to try it.

I was playing DayZ for the first time but it ended a little short with my PC overheating. I jumped in a random server to try it out and it was not bad. I just wished it could last longer. I will figure out something to cool it off by the end of the week so I can get back to DayZ.
 
So what happened to our tents? Did you guys destroy them afterwards?

For Lieutenants, ill wait until tomorrow til' i make a vote :D


Oh, and by the way, where do you find Coyote backpacks? Never had one before.
 
I vote for dangnewton as 1st lieutenants. I have no one else in mind atm because most of that list as either not played as much and haven't shown enough. This isn't counting Ibo and Jamie. I would choose either one of them as well but they arn't on enough atm at least when I have been online. I do think they are both extremely great players who have just had a few cases of bad luck so far lol.

Any military spawns I believe with the Coyote backpacks. Next time I die just make sure you are by me and you can have mine if anything lol :)

Not sure if anyone else in the clan knows this but that's how it works with the bags with the clan. Beavis and I have actually gone back and forth with his bag before I got mine. Only the loot will be given back mainly because that is easier to deal with then messing with the bags. Either way with how many we have atm it shouldn't be too big of a deal lol they will end up back on you.

Fyi, I did not log into game to see those guys arrive. I actually was online for a while, most of that time I was sitting inbetween the tents, trying to organise them a bit into med, ammo and parts tents. Anyway, I was about to get myself a drink, so I went prone underneath the tree next to the tent. I was just about to stand up when I hear a car approaching. I swear I could also hear doors opening and closing!

Panic mode: called out on TS 'did anyone just drive a car up to the Northern tents?' negative.

So I needed to do something, luckily I was hidden pretty well, they could not see me, even with their NVG's. Thing was, I could barely see a thing neither because of the dark and the tree. I circled the base of the tree until I saw the hood of the car and one player, Mr Ian. Only had one AK mag, had to make it count! Switched to Full Auto and unloaded on the guy, score, one kill!

Then I got shot to the head and woke up at the beach. Those guys had a bad sense of timing, because the entire team was heading towards the tents anyways.

East camp as been found as well. We are in the process of moving things from and no one else is going to be given new camp locations at this time. log into TS3 for more info.
 
Did it get looted badly, was there a car next to it which could've given away its position?

Anyway, this sucks. I hope those guys in the jeep were just grid searching...
 
The jeep was fine because we moved it away and only myself and beavis and I believe Ibo knew its location. Both the tent and the van where looted and the van was taken. Moving to a new area and wont be letting people know unless they are the main team so Jaime and Ibo you guys will be told most likely as well as newt who isn't online atm.
 
Looks like another clan has made US 755 their home.

Anyway, just checked my character real quick, and whadaya know, i spawn in debug plains... ugh :yuck: at least i still have all my gear/loot. I'll be on tomorrow. I hope im not too far off the map.
