GT5 will NOT be complete without a massive selection of spinners (spinaz ?) and LED rims. I want to race online with my wheels saying "I'm as rice as they come baby" when I overtake someone in a crappy V8 in my Turboed and nitro injected 1400cc 4 banger Civic ... HELL YEAH BABY!!!!!

I need more cowbells.

Ok, serious.
- More relaistic tire modeling.
- Road surface with varying traction (like less thraction if you are off the racing line).
- Real time suspension geometry alterations (toe/camber) base on suspension movement.

Here are my suggestions

- Carhorn
- Radio/CD-player in the car
- Big Block engines on muscle cars
- Salt Flat for high speed runs
- Xenon lights and maybe custom headlights with custom color
- Online Drag Racing
- CRASH TEST!!!:dopey:👍
- GT2 kinda rally... GT4 Rally Sucked:yuck:
- Your car can get dirty
- You get killed if you crash at 400+ km/h into a wall
- Insurance... If you crash your car, you get a new one

It would be great if they improved the tuning system. I would love to see changes that are being done to the car when you buy various aftermarket parts. For example if you buy and aftermarket exhaust you can actual see the new exhaust system. It would be nice if you can view all the changes made to you car like opening the hood and being able to see the parts you changed out would be awesome. Also now that we have an interior view changing out seats, steering wheel, gauges, and rollcage would be a nice addition. One more thing I hope they add is the settle reflection you get from the sun on the windshield when sitting in your car.

I would love to see the 1987 Mazda 323 GTX 1.6 Litre Turbo 4x4 and the 1983 Mazda 323 Familia 1.5 GT and Turbo :)

How did this thread turn into a joke? Thanks to people that were serious. C'mon people! Act as if this is a direct line to Kaz, and the more votes he gets for certain things, the more likely he will add it to the game!

TWO horns, please :D

edit: like in Boss Hogg's car ...

Stretch Limo Races.

I'm serious BTW, and I have a picture to go with my seriousnessess.

Psh, limos are for the weak.
Bus racing FTW.

Yip and yep. The cars tend to look too perfect. Bug splatter please. :)

- SuperGT style super hi intensity highbeam headlight flashing to the car in front.
- Disabling gear paddles and stick for Auto only cars.

Great idea. It's really a surprise how nobody think of it earlier on this forum. As I know, there is not a single thread about the wishlists for nest Gran Turismo game. So good we finaly have one.

Only one wish: working reverse lights. It would improve physics model, immersion with game and overall simulation like nothing else.

Also you shoud reconsider to divide this thread, and create separate threads for tracks and cars whislists, and so on.

why all the sarcasm and childish posts?👎 Being a GT Forum, and considering what is essentialy a BETA version (GT5p) of the final game, would it not be a good idea to offer PD a simple "must change/fix/include" poll so that GT5 can be the best ever?????? The only trouble I see is that not everyone on this forum has played GT5p (yet) so I guess GeeTeeFyve is a little premature with this idea. I wonder if Turn 10 had the same approach when nutting out FM2, cause it seems engine/car noises, easy drifting and tyre marks must have made the top 3 in the poll !

I'm sorry, but you must not have seen by now that Polyphony doesn't exactly respond to this board. I'm sure they've crossed it once, but they don't respond to the community like Turn10 does. Thus, we all pretty much joke about these types of threads since we know we're not getting a response from PD anyways.

The one thing I would like is more variability/less predictability than in GT4.

There are many ways to do this: dynamic weather causing tyre changes, mechanical failures, damage modelling causing pace cars, black flags for rule violations, etc. The thing I always hated about GT4 was that if your opponents all pitted on lap 7 (and they tended to all pit on the same lap), you could guarantee they would also pit on lap 14, lap 21, lap 28 etc. Even if it was a 28 lap race. You knew from lap 7 onwards that you had the race in the bag because without a shadow of a doubt they would follow that absurd pit strategy, and if necessary you would just slide around on the last lap to ensure you first place finish whilst they all dive for their last set of tyres.

Just one thing Kaz.......Tyre marks on the track from your car. Many other games do this, why can't PD?

Because unlike other developers PD likes to spend presciouss resources in realy important things - implementing real-time tyre marks would sacrifice lots of RAM for pretty much obsolete reason when other things that can be done with same amount of RAM are compared (in car view, more fps for physics, full animated pit-crews and boxes, etc..).

We must hope they do respond to these boards, otherwise what the hell have 90% of the posts about GT5 been for?. I mean has it just been a bunch of guys whinging to each other, cause thats a crap way to waist my time! example of typical post: "I think the Mustang sounds crap!"..........reply:"ye I think PD sample the sounds wrong and they should fix it for GT5".See what I mean.We say these things in the hope that maybe if enough people agree on something the word gets passed around and it eventually gets back to PD.Sort of makes the whole vote thing GeeTeeFyve suggested look smart......

NO... Serious post in this thread = FAIL

We definitely need to be able to purchase Wunderbaum from Tesco Performance as well !...

uupst...

Hmm, then I say we need the Fiat Panda 1000 Fire

So, let's go one after another:

1. 90% of the GT5 post are about tracks and cars wishlists, working reverse-lights manifestos, arguments is Forza better then GT and so on. So, 90% of the post are here just because there is many people on the world who like to share their ideas about their favorite / hatred game series.

2. If you think it's the waste of your time, then why are you here? If you think PD will come here, read some of ideas and then implement it into next GT game, then you're wrong. Thay had 99% of those "new ideas" probably somewhere around 1999, and remaining 1% around 2001. Right now in late 2007, they're recosidering ideas we'll come to in 2011 respectfuly.

3. PD KNOWS that their sound isn't good. They know it better then we do. Why? Because they have an actual chance to listen all those cars EVERY DAY in their life. And they probably have a very good reason why they've sacrifised the sound in order to achieve someting else somewhere else. It's called "smart usage of limited resources".

4. We all come here to have fun and share some thoughts. Nobody ever think we can make a true impact. Why? Because we know PD is doing their job the best they can to make GT series be THE BEST racer around. Everything else is just wishful thinking.

Have fun man.

+rep for this post, if rep still existed! Way to go Amar!

I want to be able to buy a used car and spend at least 10 game days figuring out what the weird noise is whenever I shift from 2nd to 3rd. That would make it super realistic.

- a proper drag strip with the ability to race AI on.
- operating roofs on open tops would be cool.
- improved physics with higher thresholds for loss on control at the limit. I have a G25 steering and trying to control a slight oversteer[with GT4] is ludacrisly difficult. Its not as difficult in reality.
Maybe prologue will be better with the ability to depress a clutch to control oversteer. I'll know this next week when my copy arrives.

As mentioned before, visual improvements with some exterior aftermarket modifications. Example : The exhaust system. I agree that when I upgrade to a race exhaust, i wanna see the stright pipe..or whatever muffler changed at the tip.

Debris...not alot...but enough to make it look more realistic.Like leaves from trees on the track...dust...dirt...

Tire marks as mentioned before.

Hopefully the winsheild wipers will be functional when it rains.

Car getting dirty, also mentioned before...

Working reverse lights(if available).

Hopefully they have modeled different tires for each tire class in the final game.

Ehhh... Did you check the GT5 forum for Wish threads ?...

Im cool brother.......I was also fine with GeeTeeFyves post too.If you guys go back to his initial post you will see he said "PRETEND the man himself will be reading this" and I think it would be FUN to see which aspect (AI,physics, more cars, more tracks, piant shop, ect) of GT5 improvement scores the most votes from GT members (or at leasts those that are not too busy makin jokes about it!). Anyone wana guess the top 3 ????

Race queen please! Too many men at the moment ;)

If I had only one word for Kaz, it would be....

"Thanks...."

Well said.
I thought this might have been a serious thread, however seems not, some peeps need to grow up.

Dear Kaz,

Please fix up all performance issues for the final GT5 version.

Thank you

P.S please add a dynometer

P.P.S and bathurst

P.P.P.S and many more tuning options

P.P.P.P.S............ my list will never end.

Oversteer has been fixed, when you try it you should be pleased. Though this doesn't mean it is easy, but sustaining oversteer and holding it on the 'threshold' is possible in good hands.

Maybe prologue will be better with the ability to depress a clutch to control oversteer.

Depressing the clutch can cut oversteer cold, but with the sudden weight shift it can also unstabilise you car the same time, cutting drive is not really the answer and is much slower than just controlling it properly.
