Something else for the wishlist: a way to include our own songs on the game's playlist. Most of the songs included with GT4 sucked; I'd love to stick some Led Zeppelin or something in and drive along to that.

So.........has anyone read the first post of this thread??????? Maybe we have enough categories for a POLL to get started.Only problem is who's got the balls to pick the categories that should be included and just how many can we put in a poll? I ask as I've never done it.

Um, can someone tell me why every single online race I enter puts me at the back? It is because, being in the US, I'm thousands of miles away from the majority of players?

👍 I don't know if Zeppelin is all that perfect for racing or replays, but it does beat the heck out of most of the tunes. Then again Sony does try and give us a good variety of songs, so unless you like literally all styles of music, most of the tracks will suck. And yes, they do. :P But what remains is excellent, really. I would like to add my own songs to the mix though.

So what do you fellow boarders think is the possibility that we'll have 60 or more tracks like Toca Race Driver has? Including Bathurst? I think it looks good myself. I expect Polyphony to include all the tracks from all the previous GT games - it is the 10 year anniversary after all - and many of the tracks listed on the My Space page in Prologue, if not all.

Well, Zeppelin is my music of choice when I'm making the 250-km drive from home to university. I conjure it would be the same for GT.

Ironically, I like just about anything but cannot stand half the stuff on GT4's library; QotSA's Go With the Flow was probably the best song there (indeed, it got me into the ban). My playlist is dominated by the likes of Audioslave, Velvet Revolver and the Chili Peppers, so that's probably more appropriate for racing ...

I don't want to listen to any music while driving/racing. The car makes fine enough note for me, though custom personal soundtracks are a good idea

among the many threads about suggestion, ideas and stuff i don't know if its the right place to post this, but i will go for something way more subtle and simple.

GT is always about the experience of driving a car, feeling like you are actually driving a real car. for me, the inumerous graphs that we have for G force, track, revs, lap time, they tend to get in the way of a realistic experience. now, don't get me wrong, they are essential in the most part, but speacially when in driving in the in-car view, i always think:

"why can't we press a button and make everything disappear?"

just the track and the car, nothing else on the screen. some old need for speed games have an option, that if you press and hold a button, all the information in the screen disappears, it's like real life.

why don't we have this simple option? and know i know for a fact that the code is already in the game, since you can do that in replays, by pressing the square button. i don't need to see a speedometer and what gear i'm using while driving in car. it's already in the car!

so, simple, easy, and useful, something they can include in the final game and will be just an extra option.

I remember in the old Colin McRace Rally 2.0 you could remove parts of the display one by one until there was nothing but you and the road, but I think you had to keep the speedo and the gear indicator.

Very true, but for replays, I love a good race quality song going, with just a hint of racing sound in the background.

And HUD graphics off would be a great idea.

I agree as well, no music while racing then a good song in replay works fine for me, nicely balanced with the race sounds.

how about having turn to apex... ? like option to have 0-100 setup up. whenever you turn your wheel the camera turns with it just a bit tho.. GTR2 and race07 have that feature, its cool when you are in cockpit mode and when you turn the driver turns his head at the derection you turn :) it be nice addtion in GT5

I wish PD utilised the Playstation eye to give us a Track IR type head movement. I don't have nor plan on getting the Playstation eye but I would in a flash if they made something like that.

great idea.. im not sure if trackir would work, but it could with PSeye :)

there should be a seperate GT copy that sells PSeye with a hat that has the 3 little dots on it so it will recognize your head movement much more clearly :)

it be a nice GT hat too ;)

PSeye? I think you mean the Eye Toy. It sort of wouldn't be original with dots seeing as TrackIR has it, but instead it work like when they had the Nike car. There would special stitching which the eyetoy would reconize and Head movements would be possible. Its would make sense as they already had it with GT4 and it worked so why not.

I would like Gran Turismo 5 to have a lot more American cars to choose from including a 2003 Ford Focus 4-door Sedan:D, I mean when i say American cars I don't mean just the top cars like Mustangs, Corvettes, & Vipers, but the lower class forgotten cars like Cavaliers, Intrepids, Escorts, Geo Metros, Tauruses, & Corsicas...if there can be 40 different Nissan Skylines, why cant there be 20 different Mustangs? Don't get me wrong, i like Skylines, but come on now...there is just too much favoritism for the Japanese cars in this game...but i must admit the Gran Turismo series is one of the best racing simulators ever.👍

do some new category for no-aids races and time trials.
its suck earning same money with arcade mode or sim mode with driving aids on

You usually can turn off Aids in Sim Mode in settings and Arcade mode through the options and settings.

ofcourse I can but I mean different
for example Viper Time Trial
you have to do 1.12 for gold medal
but who can do it in sim mode with no aids?
if I choose no aids settings then game should tell me if you do 1.15 you'll take gold

Most people go faster with no aids. It's a little more difficult to drive, but it does often yield faster times. PD would never do something like that.

which PD guy thinks that he can finish viper time trial under 1:12 with simulation mode no-aids settings?

dude, obiously you just need some more practice cause me and other players did crack the time in sim mode without any aids!!....what might help you is to go into timetrail mode and download some of the leeding times...than try to figure out where you loose time and try to improve bit by bit...:):sly:

if you check the ranking list you'll see that I did 1.16:110 and I'm third.
(sim mode | no aids | S3/S3)
First place has been taken with 1.15

will do so later, but asuming you are right, explain the 4 seconds that you are trailing....cause it just cannot be that turning sim mode off you go that mutch faster!!!maybe the viper in the event mode uses a little different setting???...will check when home, maybe i was too quick with my reaction:sly:

Do it in Sim Mode with Aids and see how much slower you are. Sim mode has nothing to do with Aids.

Event
S-2: VIPER GTS Trial Eiger Nordwand (Reverse) (Simulation Mode S2/S2 Tyres)
1.12 GOLD
1.14 SILVER
1.20 BRONZE

With my online fastest lap I couldnt even reach to silver
thatswhy I doubt who could reach to gold with same settings...

That's not because of aids though, it's because of the physics mode. Set it to ametuer and keep the Aids off, and I bet it's different.

m8 I know that and I already got gold from that event with amateur mode its easy.I'm only asking if its impossible to reach to 1.12 with simulation settings where is the fair prize distribution?
