Delay Again

I believe it's a translation from 'kayoobi' or fireday, which is Tuesday. However goldday/metalday or 'kinyoobi' is Friday. However this is bound to be wrong.

The 28th is on a Tuesday, the gold was from the 3rd, a Friday on which the original released was scheduled. I hope this helps you.

I completely fail to see the logic in this. The whole reason Sony dropped online was to make it out in time for the holidays, and the game was finished what.. two weeks ago? The decision had to come from Sony, but it makes no sense for them to miss out on the millions in holiday sales.

As for the American date.. impossible to say at this point. This announcement came from SCEJ, it's entirely possible that SCEA may be able to set their own timetable, but I'm not counting on it.

So I'll just reiterate what I said above.. ****.
 
Humorous look at PD delays.
It is nice to see PD reads GTP threads. I posted the following about the race fees and the bank. Looks like they like the idea and have stopped production to add it.

GT3 was hard at the start for cash for new players. So no entry fees for beginneer races.
However money gets pretty easy after you complete beginner mode, so fees for races at the amateur and pro stages may be a good addition.
Same with license tests, Sit B license pay 100 credits. A license 500 credits.
and so on so that it costs say 50,000 credits to go for the S license.
This would stop people golding all the licenses at the beginning of the game and then getting a easy start to GT. In GT3 if you gold all licenses at the start and then sell the prize cars you have access to 406,000 credits which will put you into a top notch car.
The Bank option that has been seen but not explained then comes into play for experienced players in that a loan can be arranged to pay for the higher license tests at the start of the game.
Maybe the bank could read your PS2 memory card and check your GT3 stats and issue a line of credit accordingly.
That actually sounds quite good. It would bring some continuation from GT3 to GT4."

I am so sick of this game delayed. It was supposed to come out January 6th of this year, and now it's January 5, 2005! It is tiresome to see this game keep getting delayed. This is like the fourth time, maybe more. One good thing is that this game is probably going to be spectacular, I mean, for all the times they are delaying it, it is getting glitches fixed, graphics refined, and even more great stuff like that. I cannot wait!

But you had no proof. What, you expect us to simply take your word for it? In case you haven't figured out by now, the people on these forums don't believe anything that doesn't come directly from Sony, and in a form that we can ALL see, not just "a friend of a friend".

Hell, you could tell a GTP member that the sky is blue and he'll demand the scientific data to back it up before he'll believe you.

Since you seem to have so much inside information, what exactly is the nature of the problem in production? Is it a manufacturing issue? If that's the case, the delay may very well be only in Japan, as the U.S. has much larger production facilities for manufacturing DVDs.
 
I've beent thinking more and more and this is what I have come up with.

Remember how Korea is supposedly going to get an online version, well Korea and Japan are on the same infrastructure on the same basis or something. Maybe it could be for an online update in that area? Who knows. Do not hold me to this or take my word for it.

I am anxious to hear KY and PD's words on this.
 
The game is already gold as we speak so would the American release be effected in anyway? I doubt PD is adding more to the game so maybe the American release will be on the 14th but time will tell I f'ing guess!
 
This is getting better by the day. Pal users expect a March release and possibly another delay, followed by another one. Until nobody buys the game and PD go bankrupt!

What a nightmare that would be.
 
next thing you know GT4 is out for sale in your local stores right next to GT5 with the way things are going. i dont even care about online play at this point so im curious as to what the real delay reason is.
 
Damn, that sucks, more delays. Well it better be worth the wait, and I know it will be. Is this the most delayed game in history? Im sure there are others, but damn!

I think Mario 64 along with 3 other launch titles and the N64 should go down as the all time most delayed game/launch.
 
I am just not thinking of the game so much anymore, if you do you will go nuts anticipating it...just think of something else and you won't get that disappointed if it's delayed again.

Yes, I'm sure KY is such an evil man, and even now, he's plotting against us, vowing to deprive us of our precious game for as long as possible. Even though this would mean he wouldn't get paid.

i live in taiwan.. and though my store hasn't mentioned about there being a chinese version (we usually get Japanese imports), they have not said anything about the date change... as far as i am concerned, i will be getting it on Dec. 3rd ..... so I really hope this isn't gunna screw me over... :scared:
 
Damnit, we better f'ing get the Le mans, motherf'ing bs! I dont even have a moral purpose of having a winter vacation this christmas, arRRRRRRRR The US should get gt4 first because the US didn't get demos like Japanese or euro and it would only be fair for PD to f'ing release the game for the US

yeah mario 64 was pretty delayed... and it turned out to be the best game of all time at the time)

so nothing wrong with delaying a little....

then again im in Australia so i didnt expect it before xmas anyway!

i hope fine tuning doesnt mean cutting down the cars to 200, lol. my ps2 seems useless now a days. i have no reason to use it till gt4 comes out. nothing to rent either.
