Fine, I didn't want to play Destiny anyway.
 
I ended up doing some Iron Banner. Got to rank 3 and got the emblem I wanted. I also bought the chest piece for my Hunter just for kicks.
 
3 nightfalls, 3 weekly heroics, 2 x crota raids, 2 x hard VoG. All I have to show from it, apart from the normal shards and energy, is a Plug One solar fusion rifle and the Last Word.
I did get another bloody Ice Breaker, a Suros Regime and Patience & Time, but they got sharded.
 
Just got universal remote and light beyond nemesis from the nightfall, go RNG

Boomer weapons and wizards will hurt. Other than that it's not hard. Phogoth won't hurt as much nor will many of the acolytes.
 
Please someone tell me that they still need to do the Nightfall? I managed to do it with only one of three characters, because no one was available.

Did you do crota before or after the update?

We did it twice after but it seemed more buggy than usual.

Hope it's not a sign of things to come!

Done it before the update. Will do the hard mode with my 32 Warlock today hopefully.

Yeah we're trying tonight too.

Not really sure what to expect, but not doubt 32 will be the minimum requirement at least till we know what's what.

Ran normal twice and all I got for my troubles were 1 set of legs which I already had and just energy and shards.

Need materials so my titan can also hit 32

You guys plan on nightfall at all today? I need to run it with my hunter. Ran it twice yesterday. Got a useless pulse rifle that I trashed and a second lucky raspberry which will be nixed. The second time was comical as all 3 of us were running defender titans and essentially had bubble madness. Also lead to incredibly stupid and sad moments of once all of us activating weapons of light simultaneously.

In an unrelated note, it seems that enemies can now cause friendly fire with errant grenades. Saw a dreg toss a grenade at me that hit the corner of the wall he was peering over and said grenade stuck there and killed him.

If the time is right, I'll do it with you. I'm usually free around 4:30-7:00 PST on weekdays, and pretty much all day PST on weekends. My PSN is Awong124.

Though don't expect too much from me. I'm level 30, but I'm not really that good.

I need to do it but I won't be home for about 3 hours.
 
Also, I have been planning to save up Vanguard marks to buy a Vanguard helmet, and yesterday I got the helmet I was planning to buy from a Vanguard postmaster package. Considering all the RNG horror stories I've read, I'd say I've been pretty lucky in this game.

I have way too many Vanguard marks and there's nothing to spend them on anymore.

Well, after this helmet I don't really see anything else to buy either. I have a full set of the armor for my alt. I have all the weapons worth buying (Up For Anything, Another NITC, Badger CCL, Coiled Hiss, LDR 5001). Maybe I'll buy one of the cloaks just for the hell of it, or buy both cloaks. If I get close to the cap maybe I'll buy one of the Sparrows, even though I already got one of their Sparrows from the last Vanguard package.

There's also no point in me spending the marks on mats, because I have hundreds of everything.
 
RNGesus hates me in this game. I get rare engrams from leveling up any faction, as well as the Cryptarch, and more often then not my legendary engrams turn into strange coins or motes of light :(

I don't think they can do that anymore since one of the updates. Decrypted items will at least be the same rarity as the engrams now.

Thats not what I meant. I ment that instead of a legendary engram, I'll get a rare engram to decode, which is sad. Its been like that so many times in a row, that I dont even expect a good engram when I level up anything.
 
Hard Crota mode is hard. Got to Crota, nabbed a Abyss Defiant auto rifle on my way but cant get Crota down yet.

We only got to the bridge, got the pulse rifle tho - does arc damage.

So many enemies! Managed to 4 across the bridge but we'll sort it hopefully tonight.
 
Word of advice for Crota's End Hard Mode players:

Get a piece of gear which has an Infusion perk. It really helps with the Crota battle :lol:

Or a gun that will regenerate health; like Suros Regime. Or, if you're a Titan, the transfusion perk or Life Steal for Warlocks.

What I was told as well. I am nowhere near ready to do Crota because I don't have enough gear.
 
That god damn Crota Hard Mode battle has given me a severe god damn headache for two days in a row. :grumpy:

On the bright side, I finished Crota for the second time on HM. On the less bright side, this second run took my friend and I(as well as two parties of randoms) 6 hours. Six. To kill Crota.

I did get Word of Crota, though, so I guess it paid off?

Radiant Dance Machines and Exotic Engram. Only thing I'm buying. Maybe just the engram.
 
I'm only interested in the engram. *Sigh* I guess the Voidfang Vestments will have to wait again.

I also just got my, like, 5th or 6th Super Good Advice bounty last night. I just got one last week and finished it on Wednesday. Yay, another free shard!
 
I'm currently sitting on 3 exotic bounties.. Invective, Thorn, and Bad JuJu. I'm at the Crucible stage on each of them, I'm just not looking forward to it :(
