@neema_t how many crucible marks do you get for trading in each resource. The 100 cap a week takes me about a day to get and it's keeping me from buying weapons. I might be able to stay trading in some stuff. I only need about 100 spin metal and maybe 100 relic iron and helium and I will have enough to upgrade my armor then I could trade in for crucible marks to buy weapons instead of waiting for my next 100 from the crucible.

A day?

Apparently I've been doing it all wrong. You and neema, man... :lol:

Can I play with you guys or is it ps4 only?

I play allot in the crucible. Maybe a few days. I know it's been full since at least yesterday. I really want a legendary auto rifle to take into it with me. I have a scout but the crucible isn't too kind to scout rifles.

Ascendant shards are what's holding me back now. Those are really hard to come by and you really go through them upgrading gear.

I'm playing atm too.

Not doing anything too exact so happy to join up to help

I have an exotic weapon bounty.

First I had to complete a strike on moon then I had to kill certain amount of hive guys and now I have to use void damage to kill guardians on the crucible... What is void damage and do all exotics need crucible stuff to unlock?

Add scout rifles to this list. The Crucible does love shotguns, though. At least in control.

Void damage is the purple element. If any of your secondary or heavy weaponry have purple damage indicators, it does void damage.

Purple = Void
Blue = Arc
Orange = Solar

I feel like such a noob :lol:

@bevo the cap applies to all methods of obtaining marks so you can't go over 100 by trading stuff in, that's why I've stockpiled so much - on Tuesday I'll go and trade it all in at once. If I remember correctly you get 250 glimmer, 25 XP (Vanguard or Crucible, not general XP) and 5 marks per 50 items you trade.

@dice1998 another exotic already! That was quick, I like the look of that Hard Light too.

@Small_Fryz I've got the same bounty, you get 5 points for every kill and you lose 2 every time you die so as long as you can consistently finish with more kills (with void damage) than deaths it's not a big deal. Not all exotics have Crucible requirements, but a lot do. Also the last objective is tough, @Clark and @Terronium-12 and I tried the strike 'for fun' and had our collective worlds repeatedly rocked at the very first hurdle...

It seems i'm lucky with weapons but not with armor :( . Axiom Coven be damned.

Hi guys... Back after some time playing and farming. I'm now level 23 and yesterday I finally picked up my first Legendary engram wich gave me a chest armor for my Warlock.
I also managed to get a few Rare weapons. This is becoming interesting...

What? You mean you get actual useful equipment from Legendary engrams? I don't. :banghead:

For once I was lucky (I'm usually a real unlucky guy though).
It was my first Legenday engram, I got it in a Strike mission on Venus.
I'll try some Strike missions at the highest levels to see if I can get other Legendary items, because if I want to buy them I'll need a loooooooooog time to upgrade my Vanguard/Crucible rank and farm the necessary Marks.
I think I'll give priority to the Vanguard, I'm just pathetic in PvP...

I used to play death matching in various unreal tournament games. It was good fun. Everyone started with the same guns and you had to find better ones as pickups. Everyone had a chance.

Now with modern games allowing leveling up and starting with better guns it means early players get a massive advantage over late starters. I know that Destiny removes levels but it doesn't level weapons as all. I've been one shot by players I've put half a clip into and done no more than half damage to.

The Crucible is a bit of a mess right now, they (probably) balance player stats but don't remove weapon abilities. If they did a mode that gave everyone the same loadout (preferably identical to what you have between picking up the first auto rifle and the sniper rifle; no abilities and just a bog standard rifle) I'd probably play that. I'll no doubt change my mind when I get my Thorn, Pocket Infinity or another exotic I can use before the heavy ammo drops...

And yeah, the Thunderlord's abilities definitely negate any kind of balancing they may be doing. I can wade into a room with that thing and kill people who started shooting me when I was busy killing their friend, it's crazy.

So before I went to college this morning I checked today's bounties and I only had three Vanguard ones, what's the deal with that? Does anyone else have the same issue? Also the gunsmith better start selling rare fusion rifles again soon.

I must be the most unlucky person with the engrams. I'm 4 light away from being a level 28 and I think I'm a level 10 at the cryptarch and not once have I gotten a legendary anything I could use. Its either turned blue or been for a titan and I'm a warlock. I've had to buy all my legendary armor. The only good things I've got from legendary engrams are shards which are pretty great but it's still aggravating that the cryptarch hates me so much.

With my usual luck, this could have happened to me too. Or it might happen as from now. :lol:
Anyway, to buy legendary gear or weapons I need at least a level 3 with the Vangard. Which means that, since I'm only level 1, it will be a long time until I get the appropriate rank and I have enough Vanguard or Crucible marks to buy anything. At least I will not have to buy the chest armor...

Apparently Lizard Squad is attacking Destiny and CoD servers right now.

Yup that pretty much killed the Destiny buzz for Saturday. Hopefully some day they catch and burn those people.

Over the weekend I finally hit level 24 with my top character. Really just a bit of luck between crucible and strikes. Attempted the raid with a few players Friday night but didn't make it very far. Just don't see that raid happening for a long time. Too hard to get 6 friends together at the exact same time with a high enough rank. I also had 5 opportunities for legendary that turned out to be crap gear. :boggled:

I managed to get to level 23 like I had originally planned, but decided against the raid as I have problems with enemies lower then that haha.

Gave the Crucible a shot for the first time this weekend, wasn't entirely as bad as I thought it was going to be. I actually liked it, Didn't really get anything useful from it though :(. I hate that everyone shotgun, besides mine, seems to be effective.

I hate how I cant join my friends fireteam with out an invite. I found out why, but the only solution would be to have that person change some setting from your profile every single start up. :(

@CAMAROBOY69 now that we are at a similar level, I'm ready to start up some games haha. I was always to far away, but now that i'm like 2 points from level 24, I think I'm good to go.

I'm sick of that whole set. I got way to many of those from all over the place. Why does the world have so many of these laying around!

I think once you reach 20, that's all it gives you, cause that's all there is left. Everything else you gotta hope for blue drops to level up.

So far today I've had two secondary weapon rare engrams, the first was an UNCOMMON fusion rifle, fortunately the second was a rare one so that was ok so I'm on 4/10 dismantled rare fusion rifles for the Pocket Infinity. After that I think I just need nightfall raid kills with fusion rifles - suppose I should probably save a good one, then.

@Clark: did you get anything good from your Vanguard rank up? I got a THE SWARM (no idea why it was all caps), ascendant shard and ascendant energy, one of each. Also I somehow managed seven VIP missions in a single patrol, that's 175XP for driving to a place to shoot someone.

I got a legend pulse rifle, I never use pulse rifles :|

I'll try it out though tomorrow, what do you get for dismantling a legendary weapon?

Extra weapon parts and more glimmer I believe.

Usually an ascendant material. I'll be buying a bunch of legendary armor soon just to Disassemble it to get the shards. I'll do the Salem thing with exotic armor this weekend. Buy it and break it down for shards.

I got three weapon parts and an ascendant energy from the pulse rifle I did, I think. I don't much like pulse rifles either so I assume that'll be my next exotic weapon because of course it will be, like how my first exotic armour was for a Warlock.

I love pistols and revolvers in games so I'm really hoping the strange coin guy has an exotic revolver when his stock refreshes.

Oh absolutely, The Last Word looks absolutely amazing, I hope the Thorn is good too.
