The Cryptard is trying to be good to me. I got my very first legendary item from him last night. The crazy part it was actually a blue that turned into legendary gloves. BUT for a different character. :dunce: This game hates me.

So I am still stuck at 25 7/8. Hopefully over the weekend I can get something good from Xur or aquire some legendary gear. OR level up my sponsor so I can just buy legendary armor. I have been at 25 for well over a week straight now. :(

I picked up some exotic gauntlets from Xur so maybe after upgrading I MIGHT be 28. Whats sad is that I didnt really want them, I wanted the helmet from last week.

Does he have any good weapons this week? He had an auto rifle I just barely missed last weekend. I am STILL using "The Strangers Rifle" from about 2 weeks ago. Cant find anything better as a primary gun.

Dang you're still using that junk? This is why I wish there was a trade/gift system. I have a handcannon thats level 20 with 242 max damage that I dont need anymore, also have a pulse rifle with the same stats.. There was one weapon, but I didnt check what it was because I wanted armor.

As neema_t said, level 28 seems to be the minimum, you will be out of your depth character level wise.
 
@Clark I assume this means you're playing now, right? If you or @Terronium-12 send me a message when he shows up I should get it on my PS3, then we can go and finally do the nightfall. Sadly I don't think I can play over the weekend so the XP boost will be pretty much wasted again!

I'm 2 away from picking up another piece of legendary armour that will rank me up but I've hit the 100 maximum....

Just trying to finish off the daly heroic but keep getting killed by the stupid Knights when I'm relapsing. Any help would be a appreciated if you could join for five mins.

One ive done that I can by the vanguard hand cannon so I'll be more use in the nightfall.

I think they reset on Tuesdays. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
 
Again Xur has warez I'm not particularly interested in. I could get the Helm of Saint-14 but then I'd have to worry about amassing even more ascendant shards.

Just spent all my light of mote on an exotic head piece only for it to be a Titan helmet.

Finished the vault of glass tonight with fellow gtp member atf. I don't think one person got a single piece of raid gear out of it. I did end up with I think 12 ascendant shards by the end of it though but I don't have anything to use them for until I get the raid gear.

I did get a bunch of exotic gear today. Got an auto rifle from the crucible, bought two pieces from the nine and finished a bounty for one. I should get two more tomorrow too.
 
I tried the vault of glass with some randoms from gamefaq. I was the highest level, there were three 27, a 26 and a 25. The first part is straightforward, then first half of the second part isn't too bad, but we were woefully underpowered for the templer fight. I would suggest to those that want to give it a go, get your weapons close to 300, get a decent rocket launcher and make sure that you are mic'd up, as team work is a necessity.
 
I'm still open for VoG runs, if you One players need someone. Be warned: I swear a lot.
 
@dhandeh were there any particularly useful damage types? Please say solar, I'm one upgrade away from maxing my Pocket Infinity... If it's arc I guess I'll max my Thunderlord next, but if it's void... I don't have any exotic void weapons. I also don't have a single rocket launcher.

Guessing you were not able to complete?

Do you get respwaned after 300 or do you need to be revived by a team mate?
 
Void weapons for the harpys really. But the biggest thing is the minotaurs, and these other things which can infect you, and you have to cleanse yourself. I have never known anything like it, you have to be on your toes, everyone needs to be issuing clear instructions and have eyes everywhere. Then there is the templar boss, insane. But practice will definitely make things go easier. We got about a 3rd of the way through, before the plug was pulled due to being underpowered.

There's a pretty cheesy way you can beat the templar boss. You can beat him without anyone dying unless they just screw up really bad. The guys we played with lay night wanted to do it so we did. Hopefully I get a chance to go back and beat him the right way later tonight.

We tried the method of all standing on the far left pillar, while the one with the relic used the super to bring the shield down and could also cleanse us. As I said though, the weapons and a few of the people were underpowered. We couldn't do it in time and he became enraged.

Oddly enough the best place is the Cosmodrome, not the Moon as you might expect. When you spawn in a patrol session go to the small shack on the left (near the mission beacon closest to where you start), go down the stairs and in a small side room you'll get two or three majors (one knight and one or two acolytes) spawning quite reliably. There are a few unreliable spawns on the Moon, but... They're unreliable. These you can get to respawn by going away for a bit and coming back. I found going to the middle mission beacon in the first area and back was far enough to get them to come back again.

Awesome! I'll give that a try.

EDIT: I can't even hit those guys.:boggled: Their level is ?? and they're immune to anything I do.
