Thanks, I'll take any help I can get I will shoot a FR when I'm on later.

I'm a level 27 titan. Should being a level lower in the nightfall matter much? I've completed lvl 28 things before easily enough.

Thanks for the help and tips, Much appreciated.

No worries, accepted not knowing it was you haha

Was on earlier with dhandes and he mentioned it was harder than the normal 28 stuff.

Ideally I'd like to.upgrade a few we as pons before I try but I'm cool with whatever

Ok we can wait, No problem. Just let me know when were ready. I should level up more really. :)

Anybody want to do the daily/weekly events at some point today?

Finally got my last fusion rifle to dismantle this morning, next up 200 kills on the weekly nightfall!

And it is 200 level 28 kills, not the generic dregs at the beginning!

Yeah I seen! Damn haha

Might just do 5-10 easy kills at the start of the caves then quit rinse and repeat when I'm on my own, luckily I kept my legendary fusion so that's sitting at 257

This is a good nightfall for that bounty. I did it yesterday. It's easy. It only took me two nightfall runs to get the 200 kills. The bad thing is the fusion rifle isn't very good you get. I'm using my rare one instead of it after getting it.

I think in the first run I did I got 110 kills with it yesterday. I started off just doing it for fusion rifle kills and then got to the boss. Once I realized how far I got I looked up a good strategy to beat him and ended up beating it myself.

Great. Haha.

So these exotic bounties always give the same reward?

Each type gives a different reward but if you do the same bounty you will get the same gun everytime. People have lists online of all the exotic bounties.

Made some AMAZING progress last night toward my exotic gun bounty. I needed 15 strikes to complete the first part. Well lets just say I completed 15 TIGER strikes....in 5 hours!!!! :D Played about half of those with randoms and half with friends. I even received quite a bit of motes of light, some strange coin, a legendary helmet, 1,500 vanguard points, and a total of about 14,000 glimmer. So overall it went VERY well.

Now I need to wait until Friday to get the weapon parts from Xur. Then Friday night I will get my 10,000 crucible points and that should finish up the bounty for the gun. At that point I will decide which legendary boots I am buying. Either from the Vanguard or the FWC sponsor.

You should look up some gameplay videos of the Pocket Infinity. It's by far my best weapon (out of the Thorn, SUROS Regime, Invective, Thunderlord and loads of other legendaries), though it was pretty horrible until I got to the full auto upgrade. After that... Wow. All of the exotics (except the Regime) are a lot of fun to just shoot at things, the Pocket Infinity is by far the most fun.

Damn...
I just had time to do the 1st step on tuesday, did not play much yesterday. Which means that I have 25 Strikes to go. I won't have enough time to complete this by sunday morning, which means that I'll have to use another week to do it.
Anyway, I have 24 Strange Coins... In other words, I'll be able to buy an exotic weapon, my very first one, next week-end.
I hope these Strikes will reward me with Ascendent Shards, I need a bunch of these to upgrade my armour pieces and reach level 28. Only my Exotic helmet is fully upgraded. I'm stuck now...

Thank you yes it was quite an accomplishment and I was lucky enough to have the time to crunch out the remaining 15 in 5 hours. Still shocked it happened so well yesterday. This will also be my very first exotic weapon but I still need 10,000 points in the crucible before I will actually have the gun Friday.

As for the ascendant shards. I don't believe you get any of those from strikes. I think those only come from the daily strike or weekly strike. Which you can only do the daily once per day, and the weekly once per week. If you do the random events those I believe those have a chance for shards. The raid chests also provide shards.

Does the full auto cut down on the recharge time? I haven't gotten it leveled at all yet. The recharge rate really aggravated me. I was hoping for a really fast recharge to take into the crucible.

I love the regime by the way:). For me it can be used for everything, it does fantastic in the raid and kills in the crucible.

@bevo After the full auto upgrade it goes from being 'Brrrrr POW... Brrrrr POW' to 'Brrrr POW POW POW POW POW POW POW POW OH MY GOD EVERYTHING IS DEAD reload'. I'm not even exaggerating, and it's great for killing Wizards. The tier before the full auto upgrade has a battery upgrade that doubles the capacity but the full auto upgrade also gives it a chance to add missed shots back to the magazine so it's not uncommon to get 10, 12 or even more shots from a single charge.

And yeah, the Regime is good, it just doesn't feel particularly special when you fire it. The Thorn makes a cool noise and the bullets have green trails, I've just explained the Pocket Infinty, the Invective has a high rate of fire and makes a nice sound too and the Thunderlord is just super meaty and the rate of fire (when you have all the upgrades) accelerates as you hold down the trigger which makes it so much fun. The Regime though? It just sounds a bit weak. Maybe the second upgrade makes it more interesting.

I've seen those bounties now,

luckily the 2 I've had are both in PVE, I've not actually been in the crucible at all but the scout rifle requires that!

Just a general wise word, Bad Juju is awful for anything other than PvE and to be perfectly honest it isn't that great in that regard either.

Obtain it, store it in your vault, and wait for the buff.

I used it in Iron Banner and did pretty well (11 kills 8 deaths) considering I never really play PVP except when I was working on the bounty for it.

Now that it is ranked up, and has auto reload and bonus damage after a kill.. it works pretty well for everything. Sure the Exotic Assault Rifle everyone is using does better most of the time, but I am really enjoying it.

Working on the exotic bounty for the Pocket Infinity doing the 200 Nightfall Strike kills solo .. I ran out of special ammo and there was a timer on my ammo pack so I used Bad Juju against the mobs and it worked.

It is a headshot weapon.. like a scout rifle, which is what I always used before, but I guess those are not so great either. So my perception of how well it works maybe not a very clear one.

-Edit - yeah it sucks on anything with a shield ..

I wondered how the auto fire worked. I'll be working to level it up as fast as I can then.

That looks much better. I'm trying to get mine upgraded now. These exotics are kind of slow going when it comes to upgrades.

I bet it destroys bosses on lower levels.

Xur is in the Tower North this weekend to the right of the entrance to the Speaker's room, and is selling:

Titan: Helm of Inmost Light

Hunter: Lucky Raspberry

Warlock: Voidfang Vestments

Weapon: Icebreaker

Helmet Engrams

Auto Rifle/Pulse Rifle/Machine Gun Telemetries

Blue/Green Sparrow Drives

Yeah, I jumped on Icebreaker

ICE BREAKER!!!  :D
Hell yes...
This one will be my first Exotic. Which in fact is just perfect, I needed to replace my blue Sniper rifle with a bigger one.
My first action tonight when I start my Destiny session will be to get that cool thing.

Huh, I almost regret not playing this week, but then again the last thing I need is another solar exotic special.

I've had a Solar Snipers rifle for ages. One of those with a yellow background that you can only equip one of.

It's got self regenerating ammo. Can't remember what it's called though. Got it from a purple random pickup that got an upgrade rather than a downgrade before the patch that fixed that.

So I thought I was going to have to choose between the icebreaker or the titan helmet from xur today. I desperatly need both an exotic weapon and armor piece but I think I would have swung towards the helmet just because I'm level 27 and need the light. Luckily I noticed I had enough motes for the Exotic helmet engram, I decided to buy that to hopefully get a exotic titan helm and then spend the majority of my coins on the ice breaker. So I went ahead and bought the engram, I was nervous because I've heard they are prone to giving you items for other classes even more than legendary engrams. Luckily I got a titan helm the "an insurmountable skullfort" which left me skipping merrily back to xur to pick up my ice breaker :) not a bad first week of using xur. (Got game on launch but was slow to get into it).

I was lucky enough to get the ice breaker from a legendary engram before the patch. Its a really nice weapon it can take out most things with 1 critical hit as the crits do 5.2K damage.
