Destiny: Become Legend (Now with More Iron!)

Just finished the Vault of Glass. I got.........a shader and an ascendant shard. While 3 people in my raid group got the Epilogue. RNGesus hates me.

That last boss fight was surprisingly easy. The hardest part of it is just staying coordinated and talking. Took us less than an hour when none of us had ever done it before. Key is teamwork.

The shader is pretty sweet though. So at least there's that.

I missed Ice Breaker by 3 coins this weekend.:banghead: I am close to getting Pocket Infinity, however.

One of the mistakes I've made it not realizing the importance of one Public event each day as well as the Daily Heroic on 28 to get all the loot possible. Oh well, now I'm 27 and the thing holding me back is getting enough ascendant shards.

Same as before, if anyone wants to add to go through Daily Heroics, Weekly, and Nightfall and soon raids add PSN mcfizzle.

Sorry I missed you tonight mate. I did get on but by the time I got on you were off.

Anyway, I finally got my first Exotic bounty yedterday. I had to choose from Bad Juju, Super Good Advice and Pocket Infinity. I feel the exotic slot isn't best spent in the heavy slot so I opted for the Pocket Infinity after hearing that Juju isn't to great. I've dismantled 5 of my rare fusion rifles. Just waiting to get some more. Had and dismantled plenty before I took on this bounty but now I've started it they're like hens teeth :).

Reached Vanguard level 4 today and got some legendary warlock leg pieces from the postmaster. I think the game is trying to tell me to hurry up and start up a warlock character. After all the nice gear I've already collected for it :)

Same for me except I've only dismantled 3 fusion rifles. They don't seem to want to fall right now.

I knew it would happen, StoryMachine (youtuber) mentioned how when he took on the bounty rare fusion riles seemed the rarest thing in the game.
 
I received the exotic bounty for Bad Juju tonight so now I don't regret choosing Pocket Infinity last night as much due to the nerf tomorrow.
 
Well, well, well. Still 12 strikes to go in my "Bad Juju" bounty contract. I'll start the orgy again tonight with the Nightfall Strike so that I get 9 Strange Coins. Then I'll continue with level 24 Strikes to get engrams and Vanguard Marks, until the next step...
What I don't like is that I'll have to play PvP for the next step (10,000 XP :boggled:), but now I have run a few tests, I'm rather confident, I know my Shadow Price auto-rifle is good for PvP.

@mcfizzle I'm currently stocking rare fusion rifles in my vault (I've got 4 or 5 ones), for the time I'll get the Pocket Infinity bounty... :D
As for public events, I manage to do one every day, these are easy and the 1st cleared event (gold tier) gives a reward in the tower. No need to run other events, as your chances to get ascendant materials is extremely low. (For easy events, go to Cosmodrome, Mothyard area and wait for the Warsat to drop)
And the daily heroic gives 2 materials...
 
All the public events are timed, the only one I know off the top of my head is the Walker in The Divide that happens quarter past and quarter to the hour. I think it's destinydb.com that has a list of them with real time countdowns.

Also, yeah, rare fusion rifles just cease to exist when you get that bounty. The gunsmith will sell them eventually though so my advice is to keep a lot of glimmer so you can afford to buy ten, I'm pretty sure level 18s can cost close to (if not actually more than) 2500 so you'd need 25k anyway, and keep checking his inventory.
 
Luckily, I stocked up on Rare rifles as early as possible. Now, i'm just waiting for the freaking missive to appear.

Though, I *am* currently doing one for Invective.

[Color= dimgray] Oh yes you do. Even with a 3 round magazine it's still a better weapon than Bad Juju, and this is before using the namesake perk.

New patch today with weapon balance. the vex mythoclast got a 34% reduction in damage put a .25% buff to crit shots. People complain about how unfair it is but I see it like this, Suppose in battlefield 4 you got a multiplayer perk that gave magnum ammo(bad company 2 style) for finishing the campaign on the hardest difficulty. Everyone would say how unfair it was and that's how this is (but much harder to get the gun I know).

Not really much of an update. Last time I played was Saturday and I am just going to take a break from this game. They really need to do something different with the raids to allow more loot or more rewards. Trying to get a team of 6 players together to do the raid is becoming more and more difficult because once players complete it, they don't get any more rewards for completing it again within a week. So its just a pain in the butt getting friends together for this. Hopefully there will be some major changes otherwise I am just about done playing Destiny. It needs either a public matchmaking OR more rewards.

Besides, The master chief collection comes out in a month and once that is out, I am sure many of my friends will be throwing Destiny aside for a while.

its honestly not that hard to get people together to do a raid. I thought it was at first too but you just have to expand your friends list. Just invite people from the tower to your fireteam and change the message to raid. I've added maybe 6 more people to my friends list who are all fun to play with and we do the raid every week now.

You can also find people in the destiny forum wanting to do the raid at all times of the day.

Part of me would like to see matchmaking brought into it but another part of me is glad they didn't because I've met a few more decent people through having to hunt down players and friend them so we can do the raid together each week. If matchmaking was part of it I would have never of sent them friends requests.

I guess I'm on the fence with it both ways. Matchmaking would make it much easier but for me it would also take away from the excitement of the event a little. Having to organize and meet up makes it seem more like a special event to me then other games missions. The raid in destiny is the most excited I've been to complete a game mission in a really long time and a lot of that is because of having to find a group to do it with that worked well together.

The outcry is huge though for matchmaking. I can't see them not adding it. So far they seem to be listening to the community and I bet matchmaking will make it into the game.

If they choose not to put matchmaking in for raids, The least they could do is put it in for the weekly heroic and nightfall strikes. I can understand why they're hesitant to put it in for raids (trolls, clueless players) but there's no excuse for the weeklys.

If any of you guys are in ps4 I'm more than willing to help with anything that doesn't have matchmaking. Just add bevofrancis and tell me your from gtp. I'm on almost every night and sometimes through the day.

We will probably be doing the raid tomorrow night around 930 est US time. We may need another player or two.

There is one other gtp member that has been doing the raid with us and I have 2 other friends who have been going through it with me. This week I think we are going to try and complete it on hard. Not sure if we will pull it off or not. I think only 2 of us are 29s with everything maxed out. I also have no idea how hard it actually is and since they patched the Templar exploit it'll probably be really really hard.
