Did anyone else watch Gundam?

when I was in the sixth or seventh grade, I totally geeked out on the show when it first aired on Cartoon Network over here so many years ago. I just want to know if anyone else watched it.

My interest got renewed in it as of late, when my brother asked me what happened to those models of all the different gundams and zakus I made (gave them to salvation army, but I kinda regret it now lol).

For some reason giant robots fighting each other were interesting to me.
