Still not a single dirt or snow seasonal event after all this time.

Why?

I don't know. I've been wanting to use my WRC cars on a Seasonal for so long.

Yeah, I've said the same thing. Funny, GT4 had lots of dirt and snow events.

indeed, considering the very limited rallying in Aspec I would have expected Rally events sooner.

Extremely disappointed with PD for not 'exploring' their various franchises.

Rally Events in A/B Spec and Seasonals
Nascar Seasonals (after the hugely successful Nurburgring Seasonal in 2010)
Go-Kart Events in A/B Spec and Seasonals
F1 Events in A/B Spec

With Nascar having a seasonal coming soon I would expect WRC to follow suit. If you can win Jeff Gordon's racing gear PD will have to include ways of winning Loeb, Vettel and the Stig's racing gears as well.

Dunno, it's kind of ominous that there haven't been any rally events (bar a TT iirc) by now. The seasonals have all been races from last to first in a set number of laps, but the rally special events are TT, or point to point.

I think it could be that the game's framerate would take too big a hit, with 9-12 rally cars kicking up dirt+ and snow, or maybe it would take more coding for the AI to race competitively in an event that features so many rally cars simultaneously? I haven't played any rally races online, does anyone know if
the framerate is less stable/worse screentear than other races?

Bought up a bunch or rally cars from the last OCD in anticipation. Its coming...

Still nothing.. what gives!? It's almost a waste of the great rally cars available in the game to not have these types of events available in seasonals. Point to point with 4 cars like the Special Events would be fine. After those are finished you can't truly use the rally cars as intended to make you any money.

One of my favorite aspects of the GT franchise was the diverse racing which included rally and snow racing. I also like the old tracks that were a complete circuit not just the point to point races. I hope they arent holding them until the DLC comes to the station store, Ive had about enough of the game and the only thing keeping me playing are the seasonal events and if I have to start paying for content then its time to move on.

GT5 just has an overly-strong focus on road racing. Apart from the Rally and Loeb special events, there isn't much going for the off-roading world. Which is a shame, because GT5 has sooo many nice rally cars.

we also need some karting seasonal events

It's funny really, they make several new (and stunning if I say so myself) rally courses, plus two course maker themes, as well as several premium cars. Then, they go and refuse to use any of them. In fact, it is possible (if I remember correctly) that you could get 100% completion and a platinum trophy and only have to drive on dirt/snow four times. A seasonal event would bring some much needed depth and relevance to this underrepresented part of GT5.

Your wish is granted!

Hopefully they keep including rally tracks semi-regularly to the seasonal Time Trials!
