Little wrong or big wrong doesn't change the fact that it is wrong.
So, as has been said, not changing your underwear or glitching is wrong, just as mass murder. Therefore, the attitude in doing all three is the same, eh?
Boy, that really cracks me up![]()
Everyone here obviously does or they wouldn't even acknowledge the thread.
I don't see anything wrong with my actions because I'm not hurting anybody else by doing so, I don't race online, so nobody is affected by my actions other than me, what does it matter to you, or anybody else for that matter if I duplicate cars so that I can race, on my own, the cars I want to race.
Also, can you honestly tell me if somebody came up to you and said that because you don't care about something, you have a mentality similar to that of a serial killer you wouldn't be at least a little shocked?
Again, only if the culprit doesn't care even in the tiniest bit.
Everyone here obviously does or they wouldn't even acknowledge the thread.
It doesn't matter to me since you display concern about how others see you.
In otherwods you are looking to take offense where non is warranted let alone intended.
It's why I said earlier that taking offense is a choice...
...because it is.
Not really, I'm just answering a question and I love to argue.
I don't get that. There are plenty people who cheat on a regular basis in games. It's a pretty normal thing and I doubt they feel the slightest bit of remorse. I did so mysellf until a few years back in games I didn't particulary cared about and never felt a sensation of guilt.
Now, that must mean have the attitude of a serial killer, right?
But lo and behold, when I ran over a cat in my car (by accident), I felt a boatload of remorse, even though I didn't mean to do it.
As you can fairly obviously see, there's a pretty big difference between wrong and wrong. And, of course, whether that wrong doing will cause you to feel guilt or not. If that strange theory of yours was actually true, someone who doesn't feel any sort of guilt for crossing a red traffic light would never feel guilt for any wrong deed he ever did and will do.
The human psyche doesn't work like that, though, and neither does morality. Because, more often than not, what makes your feeling of remorse kick in isn't whether what you did was wrong or not, but whether it did harm to someone.
It's not that I'm taking offence, it's the internet, if i was easily offended I wouldn't be on it on the first place.
It's that I find your statement incredibly... something. I don't know what way to describe it, I don't want to say idiotic because that seems a bit harsh, but it's the way you defy to see that your statement seems even a little sensationalist.
It's all good.
You compete with yourself and likewise cheat yourself.![]()
I've heard that before. I've played games both ways, if anything I was cheated when I didn't "cheat". How am I cheating myself by avoiding boring repetition and by giving myself more time to play the game?
But the human psyche does work that way but fortunately not that often.
Otherwise we'd be hip deep in Serial Killers.
I gather I got your attention then?
You are thinking and I like that alot with people I intend to race with.
If that's the case you should be realising that linking the remorse someone feels about cheating in a game to the attitude of a serial killer is plain, well, faulty logic, right?
Now, there are people who wouldn't feel remorse because they ran a cat over. I know a few people like that myself, even. However, they still aren't murderers, nor do they display anything that could be linked to the attitude of a serial killer.
Because it simply comes down to the fact that wrong does not equal wrong.
Someone gave me a X2010 for free and another one gave me a XJ13 for free, but I didn't ask them and neither did they tell me they want to give the cars to me. Never duplicated a car or anything, haven't even used the X2010 so far (will do after I tried the challenges). Does that still qualify as "clean"?
Genuine, top-level racing drivers are psychologically indistinguishable from serial killers. They will do whatever it takes to win and even in retrospect they do not feel guilt for actions you and I would consider morally dubious at best.
So... meh.
Quite!
Michael Schumacher did some morally questionable things during his career (some might call some of them 'cheating'), yet I haven't seen any news of him being arrested for killing anyone![]()
For me it's cheating as well as the aimbot same stuff. You get stuff in the game in a way you're not supposed too and you're bypassing game mechanics. Call it an exploit if you want. But you still cheat.
