I mean it does have a GT Academy Livery... which is about 10X more sponsorship than PD got when the game released, so does this all point to the first new V8 Supercar in 15 years???

Don't even know what this is, but I'm pretty sure you are aware Kaz said no new tracks, and no new cars other than VGTs and couple other race cars. Don't think he meant this one though...
 
No, because I assume the Nissan Altima V8 has been posted by now :)
Considering that this is the first time GT6 has been advertised on a V8 supercar at ALL, I thought it might mean something... also I can't watch the V8's this year due to their being on Foxtel, so if anyone has heard anything about this car and GT6 please share.
 
Nope. I am from a different country for one thing, although not sure how to make that show up.

He just said "new cars" without specifying anything but yeah I really doubt there will anything else other than VGTs, maybe some concept cars and race cars for GTA.

This one could be added for GTA 2016 alongside course maker :lol:

Regardless, when GT6 launched, how many sponsors were listed under the VGT project?

The Altima would fall under the umbrella of Gt Academy race cars as Buncombe(even though he is a factory Nisan driver. Thia was part of the exchange program. I believe this qas discussed in a difderent topic/thread) did race in the enduros last year. Just as GTAcademy drivers raced under Schulze in the 24H Nurb. Thing is, this was a livery just for the test day. Why promote GT Academy when GT Academy 2015 wasnt announced in Feb '15?http://www.nissan.com.au/Discover/N...ION-GT-ACADEMY-TO-RETURN-TO-AUSTRALIA-IN-2015 Buncombe wasn't yet confirmed for this year's enduros. Why weren't the Altimas added as DLC when Krumm and Ordonez tested the cars or last year when GT Academy Australia was announced?

As far as I am aware, Nissan doesn't sell Altimas with V8 engines or rear wheel drive. As such, GT-R seems much more relevant.
 
Nissan chose to enter the Altima in V8s as the sole purpose to sell the car here(It's relevance on the grid was to introduce this model to Australia. The GT-R was already on sale here). The same reason Volvo chose the S60(which doesn't even have a v8 on sale any longer).
 
Obvious wish list is obvious.

I hope so.

There is no reason to assume this will make it to the series just because of its livery.

its a nissan, PD is like #1 partner with them

its an academy car... isnt there already an Altima street car? Looks like an afternoons work for a modeller

could make it a seasonal event or something
 
We can only hope, along with a Holden V8 supercar. Something to give the Falcon a shake up round Bathurst.

I believe that was the #36 for FM6.

So results were mixed, although the Altima in the game would be no bad thing.
 
Much like whenever anyone asks if a car will be added to the GT series, the answer is 'we don't know.'
