Jimmy Snuka has passed away after a battle with stomach cancer.
Damn....RIP Superfly.

I think WWE should renew his Hall Of Fame status to at least respect him despite his crime.

Very sad to hear, RIP Superfly :(

Lesnar and Heyman return to Raw tonight.

Angle won't be in the Rumble. But could be a 'Mania appearance to wrestle.

If Angle is heading into the Hall of Fame, it's likely that he's retiring.

Wonder if they'll use a remixed theme or the You Suck theme.

Flair had one more match, but granted the wheels were already in motion for him to retire from WWE. I don't see him having one more match, maybe he'll do an angle (pun not intended) with Rusev. Maybe even do something with American Alpha. One thing is for sure, he's pretty much a lock-in for the cover star of 2K18 now.

It's gotta be the "You Suck" theme. Tables will be flipped if they change his song.

Well there goes his possible Rumble appearance. I wished he could've been at least a manager for the American Alpha considering that they're like the World's Greatest Tag Team and they also have similar movesets from Angle, Benjamin, and Haas.

Since he's heading for HOF induction, what's your favorite Kurt Angle moment? Mine would have to be when he suplexed Shane McMahon to a glass wall. Man talk about resilency by Shane.

Kurt vs. He-who-must-not-be-named-in-WWE, but that one's great too.

I was never really a fan of goofy Kurt, but unlike the superstars today his in-ring work countered it well enough I kept interest. Then he knuckled down and added a bit of psychopath to the formula, and he had some of the best matches in WWE history.

The masses can have Sting V. Undertaker, Cena V. Undertaker, and Goldberg V. Austin (I'm on the fence here), the dream match I'd pay good money for is Bret Hart in his prime V. Kurt Angle.

And here's reason #10000 on why i despise the 🤬 out of Roman Reigns

This has to be Kevin Dunn's fault for editing the crowd reaction on Jericho's US title win. Not that I blame Roman though but seriously when will Vince and Kevin stop believing that Roman is the next face of the company?

When he took on HBK at Wrestlemania 21. As a newcomer wresting fan when I was young, my cousin lent me a video of that event (not exactly through the most legal of means, but that's not important). And while I did not give that match the recognition it deserves back then, I certainly do so now.

Get the two people that have made some of the best MOTNs in Wrestlemania history, light up the fireworks and see them explode with the best possible grace and finesse and you have an incredible match. Sure, the two title matches in the same event were a collective turning point for the WWE as a whole, but when it comes to pure wrestling, I still prefer HBK vs KA.

And who knows? Now that Angle is getting his own recognition, maybe people can finally reproduce that properly in WWE videogames... That and Angle's entire Attitude era run, of course.

There is a problem in doing a 2K Showcase mode for Angle, the two matches in 2001 (WM X-Seven and Backlash) that were considered to be the MOTYs of 2001, cannot be featured due to that particular wrestler. Sure 2K may have gotten away with the HBK V HHH rivalry in 2K15 where they didn't feature a match that involves that particular wrestler, but in this one, I don't think so.

And they obviously can't take him out of the matches where he's in or turn them into video packages (like what was done with Angle's rivalry with Stone Cold and The Rock during the Alliance story)... Well, I don't really know, then. It's up to 2K to see what can be done with this...

I know this may be 3 days late already but:

Holy 🤬. Big Show really became more ripped. Kinda like his 1998-2000 form and we all know that's the Big Show we know of but damn. I know this is just a preparation for his match against Shaq but I wasn't expecting this to happen.

I got an idea for Big Show's entrance for WM33 though, instead of his usual theme, since Shaq's theme will feature Panda, for Show let him use his WWF Aggression theme. That way it goes to show that he's prepared.

Cant comment on Raw yet as i havent seen it, will watch tonight.

On Smackdown however, Shane McMahon has a big announcement to make (no idea what that is) Women's title match between Bliss and Lynch and randomly Jerry Lawler is back with his kings court

Possibly related spoiler to Shane's announcement and the Women's match:
Mickie James is reportedly appearing on Smackdown today.

My bet that she is La Luchadora.

Let me just say, I'm so pleased that the WWE Championship will be on the line in the Elimination Chamber

For multiple reasons:

  • It means the Royal Rumble won't decide the who is champion heading to Wrestlemania which I always felt was stupid and way to long to build up.
  • It also makes for some more unpredictability for the Royal Rumble, people expected an Elimination Chamber to decide the No. 1 contender for Wrestlemania with a Raw guy winning the Royal Rumble. So pleased this isn't the case as I always felt the Royal Rumble matches should be unpredictable not matter if it was the right or wrong thing to do. Unpredictable Royal Rumbles are always the best.
  • No. 1 Contender Elimination Chambers are stupid and more predictable than Chambers for the Titles.

I knew it. La Luchadora was Mickie James. I have a feeling she will turn on Alexa soon because of her track record with other women wrestlers especially her time with Trish Stratus. This also solidifies that the SD Live Women's Division is better than Raw's Women's Division.

Pretty good Smackdown, Liked the Kings Court segment and happy for Jerry to make his comeback in his home town, it was also announced the him, Cole and Graves will be the announce team at the Royal Rumble.

Well it seems Lawler has fallen back in the 'E's good graces. Quite impressive, considering what he did to get in trouble in the first place. Still, beats having David Otunga and/or Byron Saxton in his place, I suppose...

Rumor mill saying that Cole could be close to hanging up his headset. I know a lot of people give him a lot of stick but there's a reason he's been on the table nearly as long as I've been alive.

Because there's a canyon between the JR/King and Gorrilla Monsoon crews and everyone else. He's just as good as many, unfortunately those three I named made the commentary as good as the show. Cole and the rest are just there at best and dead-behind-the-eyes on average.

Here's something to bring up: How would you personally book this years Royal Rumble match?

Bear with me on this one, it's gonna be a doozy. Assuming John Cena wins the WWE Title, I'd do it like so:

Entry Order:
#1: Seth Rollins, for reasons I'll explain towards the end.
#2: Dean Ambrose. Feud callbacks are one of my favorite parts of the Rumble.
#3: Xavier Woods. Tease him being the weak link of New Day. Play it for laughs.
#4: TJ Perkins
#5: Apollo Crews
#6: The Miz. Gets knocked out of the ring during Entrant 15's rampage, but still is legally in the match.
#7: Rusev
#8: Rich Swann
#9: Dolph Ziggler
#10: Surprise entrant 1. Uh...would've been Kurt Angle if his body wasn't held together by chewing gum. So, let's say..er...RVD
#11: Whoever loses the Universal Title match. Let's say it's Kevin Owens.
#12: Luke Harper
#13: Bray Wyatt
#14: Kofi Kingston
#15: BROCK LESNAR
#16: Heath Slater
#17: Surprise entrant. Just because of this being the thirtieth Rumble, bring out Hacksaw Jim Duggan. Doesn't need to (or should) hang around more than a minute.
#18: Big E
#19: Samoa Joe. Would pay great money to see him and Lesnar pound the crap out of one another.
#20: Sheamus
#21: Goldberg
#22: Braun Strowman. Would like to see this faceoff.
#23: Sami Zayn
#24: Big Show
#25: Cesaro
#26: Baron Corbin
#27: Chris Jericho
#28: Kane
#29: Randy Orton
#30: The Undertaker

So at this point, Seth's been in the ring for...let's say...near 50 minutes. Somehow still hanging in there, actually stands tall for a moment. Remember my reasoning behind having him enter first? Here's why...

#31: Triple H. Should've done it last year, would be the ultimate Triple H move. Doesn't have to hang in there long, just enough to dispose of Rollins.

Elimination Order:
1: TJ Perkins by Rusev
2: Apollo Crews by Dean Ambrose
3: Rich Swann by Kevin Owens
4: RVD by Kevin Owens
5: Heath Slater by Brock Lesnar
6: Jim Duggan by Brock Lesnar
7: Xavier Woods by Brock Lesnar
8: Big E by Brock Lesnar
9: Kofi Kingston by Brock Lesnar
10: Samoa Joe by Dean Ambrose
11: Rusev by Goldberg
12: Goldberg and Lesnar eliminate each other
13: Sami Zayn by Braun Strowman
14: Sheamus by Cesaro
15: Cesaro by Braun Strowman
16: Big Show by Braun Strowman
17: Chris Jericho by Seth Rollins
18: Kane by Baron Corbin
19 Dolph Ziggler by Seth Rollins
20/21: Kevin Owens by Randy Orton
22: Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper by Randy Orton
23: Seth Rollins by Triple H
24: Triple H by Dean Ambrose
25: Randy Orton by Baron Corbin
26: Braun Strowman by The Undertaker
27: Baron Corbin by The Undertaker
28: The Undertaker by Dean Ambrose
29: Dean Amrose by...
YOUR ROYAL RUMBLE WINNER: THE MIZ

YES! and then on Smackdown Miz hands out Participation Awards to everyone. Including Daniel Bryan :P

Not sure how I would book the whole Rumble, but I think that Goldberg, Lesnar, and Undertaker all need to be in the Rumble early. They can work a slower pace, and help gradually build up the intensity of the match before being all eliminated. I think the Miz needs a strong showing, and I do think he'll win, but at the same time, I can see Corbin getting the big push and going to Wrestlemania's main event.

Didn't see this last time,

Don't forget the Royal Rumble doesn't set the WWE Champion to stone, that's the Elimination Chambers job.
