Does Anyone Watch Wrestling? (WWE, AEW, TNA, NWA, etc)

I'm happy for Bobby Roode and from a wrestling standpoint, the tournament was great.

However from the story standpoint, I feel a bit empty. You don't have to have a big story in tournaments but this tournament had tensions with both Dolph Ziggler and Baron Corbin yet nothing came from it during the finale. Maybe there will be during the celebration (or anything related to the aftermath)

Been watching some of the WK12 matches on AXS...It doesn't seem like the world-burner WK11 was aside from the main two matches. The IWGP Tag Match was OK, didn't catch the 4-way Jr Heavyweight match, and watching the NEVER match I wanted to see...oh. Hiromu Suzuki made Goto look like a chump for almost the whole damn match. I think I have my answer on where he goes...nowhere.

Big week this week.

Monday-Raw 25th Anniversary
Tuesday-Smackdown Live
Wednesday-NXT
Saturday-NXT Takeover
Sunday-Royal Rumble

👍👍

Love me the rumble. Might stay up this year. Nap from about 7-2 and get up then to watch.

Will be watching the rumble. Since I don’t have cable. Maybe since it’s 25 years of Raw they should make a announcement that the network will start streaming Raw on there. Maybe that’ll bring more people to the network if they do that.

They can't. Not under their current television contract.

Problem would be the USA network getting 🤬 about the free streaming.

If WWE want to stream Raw and Smackdown, they need to get out off the deal and either make it Network exclusive (which would annoy a lot of people) or find a TV deal that is alright with it.

I was talking about making it stream both on the network as it airs on USA network, something like that.

Not sure if USA would be willing to lose viewers to the streaming site?

I believe the contract is up soon. I haven't heard that USA want rid but have heard rumours about FOX wanting it.

Tried to find a proper list of the Legends/former talent returning tonight but cant really find anything, I know for a fact that Stone Cold, Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, John Cena, Trish Stratus, Ric Flair and the APA will be there among many others, Smackdown will also be there with Daniel Bryan and Shane plus Styles and Charlotte. Lawlor and JR will be at the Manhattan Centre.

Apologises for the double post but there is some news.

Enzo Amore has been suspended indefinitely because of a rape allegation.

Oh wow.

The only actual accusation I see is from a Twitter account with a "dubious" past including claiming to have faked a pregnancy. I am assuming they've had some contact through the correct and legal channels to suspend from it.

There's been an investigation ongoing by the Phoenix PD.

Ok my mistake. It clearly has been correctly reported. I understand WWE suspending him under investigation.

Someone has come forward with an allegation against him that took place backstage at a Red Hot Chilli Peppers concert last October.

I was really glad that The Miz won the IC Championship. Would be a shame if he didn't make it to Wrestlemania, but it is a fully understandable reason :)

There was trouble at the Manhattan Centre, during the commercial break of the Reign/Miz match they had a CW tag team match which went to a no contest after just two minutes, this lead to people shouting '********' and demanding refunds, The Peep Show segment was earmarked for the MC too. I think they made up for it though with Jeff Hardy turning up as Brother Nero and Rollins and Miz had a stare-down when the show went off air.

I enjoyed the show generally, favourite part was the opening bit with the McMahons and Austin, it didn't quite live up to that afterwards but it wasn't bad.

Bye then, pretty sure he wont be missed.

Granted I’ve been waiting for this day for quite awhile, I certainly wish it was under the usual “future endeavors” conditions and not because he did something horrible.

I do wonder what they will do with the Cruiserweight title though. My guess is a battle royal to determine who faces Alexander at the Royal Rumble.

Is Alexander the number one contender?

What I would do is at the Rumble you get 10 cruiserweights, stick them all in the ring, you get eliminated by both feet touching the floor, last man in the ring becomes champ, stick it on the pre-show and there you go.

As much as I hate Enzo Amore as a character (find it repetitive) and his wrestling is almost non-existent outside of high flying moves:

However, from all the reports I've been reading, there is no evidence to support the allegations. It was just 1 twitter post and it was immediately ran with. There is no police report, video evidence or even any current criminal charges. Just a tweet. In fact the investigation is still going. Another factor is that the person posting this has opening admitted to fake a pregnancy in a video: (NFSW video)

What upsets me more is the hypocrisy. Enzo only served 1 day of suspension before being release after a single non-evident tweet allegations. Meanwhile Rich Swann is still serving his suspension, still with the company even after he is even been proven to be responsible for domestic violence.

I think Enzo should've kept his suspension until any evidence came up. This is a gamble to release him already because if these allegations turn out to be fake then WWE will look incredibly foolish. If it turns out to be true then, while I still think they should've waited until confirmation, I do think they took the right action.

TL;DR - I'm not going throw my chips in until the whole case is resolved and we know more about it.

Police have been involved since the event allegedly happened.

The fact they released him so quickly could mean many things. One theory I have heard is he kept them in the dark about it. Another is there are details they know but we don’t yet, which could explain his “flu” as well as being removed from the Mixed Match thing.

That's why I said it's still under investigation.

Problem I have with the theory is that it doesn't make any sense to allow WWE to keep it in the dark. There's nothing to gain. Rape is a criminal offense and since Police are getting involved, this situation would be more Rich Swann and less behind closed doors. Police would be the first to know and report. I think it's just there is a lack of evidence so far and WWE decided to release Enzo before any evidence probably not under their terms but their company share holders probably egg'd th

With the sheer amount of celebrities and high-profile public figures being accused and convicted of sexual misconduct over the last couple years, it's not surprising WWE moved so quickly to distance themselves from Enzo. Especially when they've been making a big deal in various media outlets lately about how they're working to make sure women wrestlers get treated with more fairness and respect.

Plus it's been said Enzo had a terrible reputation backstage, so I imagine no one was willing to stick up for him when this first came up.
