Does Gran Turismo 5 have time trials for any car on any circuit?

I was wondering if there were online time trials for any car on any circuit, similar to the time trial mode in GT Prologue? new to the game just got it a few days ago.

Nope, only the published online events. You can have your personal records in the GT Life Practice mode, above the tuning shop.

It's for a bronze PSN trophy.

Trophy Name: GT-R Official Record

Trophy Description: Achieve a time of 7'29.03 on the Nurburgring Nordschleife in a Nissan GT-R '07. The record must be achieved in a Time Trial in the Arcade mode version of the car with tires of Sports Hard grade or lower equipped.

Little tip, SRF makes a world of difference on that trophy. After achieving multiple 31's, 32's and 33's I decided to put SRF on and did a 25.5 first time.
