They laid me off because they had to reduce pay roll, and cut back on hours! They said if it picks up they might call me back(I was a good worker they said). But I can't modify my truck in time for next school year now! :(
 
oh and If I read it right, according to fortune 500, they made 216,000 billion(maybe it was just 216, BUT STILL that more than 3 times bill gates!) last year in revenue. And what was that about reducing payroll?
 
Why would I shop there anyway?

Why not get a good job, instead of a minimum wage paying one like that?

I mean, I have a job that pays about 10 bucks an hour under the table. Minimum wage in MA is about 6.75, so I'm doing pretty well for a 16 year old.
 
I never liked Wal-Mart exept for the Supercenters, and there's none of those around here, just a bunch of thier crappy normal stores. I suggest going to them with the Fortune 500 info, and get a head guy at Wal-Mart to see it, then ask why would they have to lay you off if they make so much money. If he gets pissed at you, sue Wal-Mart for false info and lost income, I'm sure you could get enough money from them to buy a good deal of stuff for your truck, or maybe a new truck...

but you can always try, and that's what's important. He's saying that they said that they had to lay him off because there wasn't enough money to pay him and other employees, and if Wal-Mart is making $216,000,000,000 there should be plenty of money to go around, so they might have lied to him when they layed him off...

But remeber all the money they have to spend building the stores, so no matter where you look, theres one. Then there's the renovating, etc...

216 billion is alot, but building costs add up quickly.

Actually whenever I go into Wal*Mart I feel really clean. Everybody else has no teeth and all have dirty clothes and shoes on. Only reason I go there is for electronics.

I don't think you could sue though. I mean hello...it is you the citizen and your attorney -vs- Wal*Mart CEO billionaires and their attorneys. Who do you think will win?

I think we can lay off the redneck jokes, not that I expect it. Besides, you know that if you sue a company other consumers to that company pay for it. Unless you want socialist or communist controls imposed on a company.

This is a capitalist country they don't have to give a penny to anyone. If Wal-Mart was located in a communist country then it would be a different story.
 
why would you want to shop at walmart for electronics anyway? their TVs and "home theatre equipment" sucks, they have no games selection (computer games) and its better to go to a place that knows electronics anyway. thats why i go to shoe stores when i buy shoes, and not walmart. same with electronics and computer supplies. and basically everything... i try to go to the right stores for the right things... it just worls out better, you might pay more or less but you get a better product and better service if you go to the place that specializes in what they sell.
