i went to gamestop today, and i looked at the estimated release date, my jaw hit the floor and i almost started crying. 2/3 is what i read, i hope it is a typo , im so mad right now so im just going to quit talking. later

I don't think that it will be that late (or early as the case may be). At the moment there's two speculations:

Before Christmas so Sony can collect on the rush

Early January (7th perhaps) so PD can create a perfect master piece

Three months difference from the Europe and Japan release date? Sounds like the SCEA version of GT4 will be a lot different than the SCEE and SCEJ version, if it takes three months. Maybe to take some cars out, perhaps?

Oh well, we just have to wait and see.

I've recently investigated pre-ordering the game,... I've seen dates ranging from Dec. 3, '03 to Feb. '04. No oone knows except polyphony,.. and I'm not convinced that they even know. If Sony puts on the corperate stronghold, it will be out before x-mas,... if it's up to PD, I believe they'll wait till late Jan./early Feb.

I hope they just let Polyphony do it right. I'd much rather have a perfect game than a less than perfect one just so I could get it a few weeks sooner, especially when youthink of how long you'll be playing it. A little patience goes a long way.

Yeah, I don't want another GT2, that was a great game but there were some stupid faults that could screw the game up.
