He is the spokesperson for the game, It is his job to talk it up and hype it up. That said, nothing he actually said there was untrue.

Spa Francochamps incoming ?

^ Looks like it might. Not exactly a track I'd get excited about, but still, would be a lot nicer than quite a few other possible tracks

 Really? You must have a heart of stone lol. You must be the first person I have met who doesn't think Spa is anything but fantastic. How come?

THey could also be using SPA as a reference image for concept of a custom track.

In fact, many of those photos look like the ALPS track they have been showing off...

Imagine is free :dopey:

I love the new illumination, good work T10 , FM3 was horrible ...

Revamping the lighting system sure was a much needed change from FM3. In my opinion, it made the game look a lot worse than what it could've looked like wiith a not-so-sucky one

What happened with the Forza under the stars Thingy?

Any info on it? I am assuming nothing else was revealed.

Ok, I know I am nitpicking...but do they really need to make the hud numbers/fonts so dang big? Granted, I turn off my hud, but I swear, those were made for a blind man. They take up so much real estate.

Nice to see that Kia has body roll.

Fm3 simulated suspension flexing and body roll, so it's only natural FM4 does it too, right?

Of course FM3 did. However, some of the cars, especially smaller, tighter cars, rarely exhibited the roll "visually". I was just talking about the visual improvement showing it rolling (even though we already had the physics).

I love the fact that a reasonably priced car AND standing starts is in with the TGTT.

Not to mention how FM has leaderboards so you can actually have a top gear nerd-on!

I'd like to compare my times with the celebs on Top Gear. It would be even cooler if they ever kept the leaderboard from the show, on the game, so you can directly compare.

Football will be fun too. Played it using a car for a ball.

Having a real ball and goals will be nice sub game.

Looks like the correct camera angles too!

There is something odd about F4's cockpit view. But I can't put my finger on it.

I think it could be that the camera is too high.

Almost like it's on top of the drivers helmet, rather than his eyes.

Just getting ready to post this. I'm not really liking the camera angle in cockpit view. Seems like they just want to show more of the car at the expense of a real camera angle. I think FM3 had it right. Feels like I'm that guy Edd China from that show Wheelers Dealers

I known that this might sound weird after all the bitching about, but that bit might have sold me on FM4.

Reasons:

>Camera angle is finally right(is not zommed or anything like in FM3)
>Shaking effects are actually accurate and chasis dynamics are finally noticeable and acurate.
>Lighting Engine is updated and it looks right(Turn 10 realized of clouds and the effects of them in lighting)

And for those who bitch about the Kia's cockpit angle, the car is quite low, watch some Stars in the reasonable priced car and you will notice what I'm talking about,I still think that the Autovista features is a massive waste of time but is good to see that serious work went into the gameplay, apart from that, its seems that people are able to customize the driver(diferent color gloves aparently).

I've made a little comparison, for cockpit view.

Not a huge difference. But F3's does suffer from a little wide-angle distortion around the edges and top.

I like FM3's better. It looks as if you're sitting there behind the wheel whereas FM4 looks closer to GT5 which looks wrong. If you look at 3 screen setups of FM3 vs GT5 GT5 is just wrong. Hopefully you get to play with it like FM3 and fine tune it. Hopefully they leave where you can change it by degrees and not that "normal" "close" "wide' or whatever junk you get from other games.

what is "right" depends on your screen setup and distance. the default FM3 setting is although closer to real FOV on a single screen, the lack of peripheral vision has a dramatical impact on your sense of speed. So when played on a single screen you actually need a wider FOV to compensate for it. although it might be in numbers not as real, but the overall effect I believe is indeed better.

I always prefer FOV like FM4's default, one things the sense of speed is more pronouced, another I can see the side mirror.
