Winning Eleven was $40 ever since it came out. It started at $40, not $50. I got it the week after it came out, so I saved myself $10(This was months after FIFA 2k3 came out), and ended up getting a better game.

umm theres a trading post around the corner from me, and i have the oppurtinunity to buy both winning 11 and fifa 2003 at the same price (its like 10-20 bucks) i dont know if they were good so i just bought snatch and matrix on dvd instead, now if u were to choose which game would u buy for the same price?(to ppl who have played both)

I got Fifa 2002 World Cup free with a heavily discounted version of EA's F12001 (which I only bought for the 3.5 litre sports car mod) - I love that game! It's probably a pretty crappy soccer sim, but I love playing as Australia knocking in 10-15 goals on easy mode. I know I should step up a level, but I just can't help myself...

I am pretty sure that is not the original version.

Winning Eleven 6 is for the soccer fans that have always been waiting for the Konami games to arrive to this country.

Fifa is more arcade, while WE6 is more deep, more of a simulator but still fun. You can score a goal from virtually every place, unlike Fifa's goalkeeper which seem to have glue on their hands.

While you can have 15-6 games on FIFA , the games in WE6 generally end at 2-1, 3-1, 1-1.

Dont feel bad. The game IS hard. I know it because I could beat the CPU on difficulty lvl2, but once I switched to 3, I got my ass handed in silver platter. The CPU does really outsmart you, and the fact that in real life, a good forward once is a few feet from the post, he will score. It happens the same on WE6. It forces you to cover the empty spots, change formations, and mark the best players. It isnt just about sprinting and making fakes.

Thats why FIFA sucks, because it isn't realistic.
That sort of scoreline never (or unless the other team was dead or something) in real life even against crap teams.

Winning Eleven 6 owns it in gameplay stakes, although one of my friends has Winning Eleven 6 final evolution (the Japanese version) that has updated stats and gameplay.

PES2 (Pro evolution soccer 2) is by far the best soccer sim on ps2 up until the third game comes out. In my opinion I reckon the best EA football game was fifa' 97

Fifa 2001 wasn't bad for computer, but it's nothing compared to WE6/PES2

Fifa 2001 is good not like arcade soccer [fifa2003 fifa2002] WE6 is good and hard but has bad controls PES2 is made by Konami makers of WE6 so the are the same but different teams but I wish WE6 had the same amount of teams of fifa we6 jappenes version is comming out for gamecube i dont know about x box we6 is the best soccer game out there except of lack of teams and stickey controls

I have FIFA 97. I want to get a Soccer/Football game on PS2 but I don't know what to get. Your arguments seem to be equal, so I'm not sure.

WE7 International is an awesome game. I rented it and I would have bought it had I not been short about $40.
