I agree with you on that. For some reason we are unable to adjust volume on music or engine sound. I guess the only way to bring up the engine volume would be to turn the music off and crank up your TV volume.

yeah, but i also mean the engine-sound ITSELF,--real race cars, dont sound like that!!!!!

I tried the Lemans 24 hour-game for ps2, and damn that panoz has a nice, realistic, sound...

I think that should focus on better sound enviroment, also adding Surround-sound to the perspective!!!!!

The PS2 can do better than that!!!

Yeah I know what you mean, for some reason they seemed to have gotten a little cheesy with some aspects of the game but overall, ya still can't beat it.

Actually the Panoz sounds exactly as it has to, so does the GT40, ZO6, and a lot of other cars.

yeah i think it could be louder too.  I like to be able to hear the cars.  Like VRRRROOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMM

also small effects like exhaust-pops, and gearshift-soundeffects´would be cool....

thats true, and also fire coming out of the xhaust when ur shiftin, just like in real races.

Maybe if we all yell loud enough the people at Sony will hear us and add to the next GT?  Probably not but it sure sounds good on paper

do anybody got a email-adress to the developer-staff....?

Squad, I'm not sure about this one but  one might try www.scea.com   if that isn't the right spot  they may point you in the right direction

I kind of agree here, (with the exception of my first and only true love - the GT40 ) it's a sad state of affairs when the best sounding car in the game is the S2000 race car.  (Mazda 787 isn't bad either)

yeah on gt2 when you get level 4 turbo, man you can hear it hiss when you switch gears. i race from first person view, so there is the sound of air rushing by which is pretty cool.

I agree that the sounds could be better. Thats probably the only dissapointing thing for me in the game. :(

I dont think you've EVER heard a real Panoz Leman-racer..... it does NOT sound like the one in the game.... THATS for sure...

greg, it still does hiss d00d, sheesh get a hearing aid, boy

they should let us run straight pipes out of our gtr's

yeah...i have to admit...the engine SFX are weak!!

well...letz just wait for them to fix it in...o say...

GT4?

Considering the sounds were recorded form the real life cars they sound as near as possible to the real thing...
Cars like the Impreza WRC sound identical to the real thing ( yes I have been in one ) As for the Panoz I cannot comment as I havent had the pleasure off being in one....... :(

the only cool sfx is when your escudo is going 800mph and the air sounds like a friggin jet

They recorded the engine for every different car. All the sounds are real because they are recordings of what they really sound like. Just because it sounds smoother somewhere else doesnt mean its true.

Hmmkay, Squadjot, you are a complete moron. I have even seen pictures of them with their recording equipment recording the sounds of the engines.

Hey I hate to tell you guys this, but the engine sounds are not recorded. They were recorded for examples, but this is not what you hear in the game. The sounds in the game are synth-based on the real recordings. If they used the real recordings, there would have to be an infinite amount of them to make up for the pitch change of the motor which is not possible. Anyone who has heard a real motor rev can tell you that it sounds completely different. The engine sounds in the game are all the same sound for each car with the pitch just raised or lowered. In real life, a car sounds different at all rpm levels. So Rocky, before you go calling someone a moron, why don't you realize how much of moron you are yourself.

Look you douche, i know a hell of a lot more about gaming than you do. I know that they record a sound for a certain set of RPMs, and they connect the different recorded RPMs by making the pitch higher or lower. But my point is, they actually recorded many of the engine sounds, they aren't completely based out of nowhere, they had basis on the real thing. And secondly, you are a jackäss.

Consider yourself a moron if you thought they actually recorded the engine sounds, i dont even own the game i know you couldnt do that and make it sound right

My, what a potty-mouthed little boy we have here. You're a pretty big man behind a computer screen.

think about this for a while:

I always kind of agreed with the opinion that arguing over the internet is pretty much like the special olympics. Even if you win, you're still a retard. So to avoid being a hippocrate, I'll just let you ramble on about how stupid I am and whatever, and wait until you're done with you're little temper tantrum.

Yours very truly, ZO6 xoxoxoxo
