Escudo Vs GT40

Depends if it's on a road track or an oval. Escudo wins on ovals, the GT40 would have a pretty good chance on a road track (although I'd have my money on the Escudo on Mid-field and Apricot Hill).

Escudo at every track. Am I right?

This would not be the way to restart the career in making threads here young un'. I'm sure everyone will be patient and it looks to me like you just want to get to some "online" conversation so let me give you a couple of hints...

If your questions/polls haven't been covered before (do a search) then go for asking the question starting the poll. Make your questions/polls specific in nature so people can actually take part in trying to answer the question or take part in giving their opinion on the poll.

For example: With this poll, stupid question or otherwise, you need to identify more specifically what you mean like maybe include what kind of race (IE: Drag race? How Far?). You would also want to include the track where they would race, what the upgrades would be and most importantly, with a question like this, you would be better off including why you might want to know this information or why this is important so the question/poll doesn't appear moronic in nature at first glance. It might indeed be some good reason why you would want to know this but, at the same time, most folks are going to first look this poll/question and think it odd/ibecilic/waste of good server space... that sort of thing.

That being said, here is why the specific becomes critical...

Bring your Escudo to Seattle (either direction) and anyone with the game and a GT40 could likely kick your butt...

Bring your Escudo to Test Track (either direction  ) and their GT40 is going to get his butt kicked...

Most folks know this. What exactly is it you would like to know?

lets say oval. because the it's up to top speed

[lilJon] This poll is teh suck. [/lilJon]

You didn't say what track or if the escudo or the GT40 are a full modification. Its pountless.

Considering it's a well-publicized fact that the Escudo can make the highest top speed more easily than anything else, this is a fairly obvious question to be answered...

...which leads me to think that you're only asking it to see your own words in print. As pointed out above, this is not a good way to start your second day here at GTPlanet.

Step away from the keyboard, take a few deep breaths, and relax. Get over the excitement of seeing your name in lights on an internet message board. Don't post unless you have something worth reading to say. Making pointless posts or threads will get other members angry at you, and it will get you in trouble. You already have two (at least) moderators watching.

So start thinking before you type.

GT40 wouldn't stand a chance at Swiss Alps.

Next!

 It can't run a Swiss Alps. But the Tickford Falcon can...

I do so hope we can help this little guy, would hate to see him put down so quickly.........

Why in the world would you ask a question like that? Its simple, the Escudo goes fast in a straight line and the GT 40 goes fast around corners.

This is actually a good thought provoking poll.
I did some research over at Racing Line best times section and actually the Escudo not only has the higher top speed it also has faster lap times than the GT40 at Seattle. 1:15.415 againsts the GT40 1:19.069. My vote went to the Escudo.
300zxfairman you will find you get on a lot better with the old hands at GTP if you listen lots and do not upset them. At least you have listened and taken actions to rectify your poor start.

Impossible. A Escudo cannot do a 1:15.415 stock. Thats damn right impossible. This is GT3 man, not GT2.

Where does it say the cars have to be stock?

Escodo sucks,yesterday I have testing them both on complex string before voting here;

Escudo:4:43.7
GT40:4.39.2

-4.5!!

I do so hope Famine comes along and shows you how to drive the Escudo. How 'bout it Famine? Up to teaching the youngsters? I would, but I haven't bothered learning how to drive a car I don't use.

i think the escudo is a car that really needs to be driven with a manual transmission, so you can keep those rpm's up :)

Now how about that? I wouldn't have thought that at all... 👍 When I wrote that I made an assumption in making my point that looks to me like I shouldn't have. :D Dang, the GT40 beat by the Escudo at Seattle! Wow! Good Job ferroting out that tidbit of information. Now I am going to have to go check this out to see times stock or what?

I have this picture in my mind now of trying to squish the Escudo through the pitrow chicane at speed... Sheesh!

The GT40 runs on skinnier tyres, has vented drum brakes and a poorer power-to-weight ratio. I'd expect that someone who could drive "The Thing" would slap a GT40 (driven by someone who could drive that properly too - it's got it's own driving style which makes it a great deal of fun) on any track you care to mention.

4'43 for an Escudo on Complex String doesn't sound right, unless it's very, very stock. I peeled a stock GT-One Road car around Complex (as part of the 100 laps of Complex String) in very low 3'40s and the Escudo's PWR eclipses it by some way.

The Escudo's records are all faster than the GT40's, I've taken a stock Escudo (by stock I mean no extra power but I changed the settings) round Complex string and found it can do some very, very fast times I did a 3'4x.xxx. The record is a lot lower than that and it's much faster than any GT40 records.

Is there such a thing as 100 laps of Complex String?
If so I like a good challenge!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

why is this even a topic....The Escudo is a 1800hp beast that cant turn and the GT40 is a decently powered car....Why not make a poll where each car can be evenly compared

No - the Escudo is a 1000hp beast which can't turn when you first get it. If you apply settings strategy as well as bolting the biggest turbo you can find on it, it'll turn.

Famine is right, with that turbo is will not turn, but it will turn with stock HP.

Unless you set it up properly. It handled 2 hours around Rome just fine.

BTW, your settings you posts worked great, Famine. 👍

Damn i gotta get a hold of those settings...i just maxed my escudo for super speed way purposes on those enduros for the f1 =D
