Update - I don't usually double-post but I thought I'd leave the original there :p

I just fiddled my schedule around, and after a fifteen minute gap I went back out on the track in some spare time I made to take my spot back  and this was the result - Five laps, three warm-ups, one pushing and the other was this...

T1 - 0'16.569
T2 - 0'31.994
T3 - 0'48.867
SF - 1'06.225

I figured it'd be nice to make a mark... Can Pescarolo really stop the Audi dominance? That'd be superior German engineering, with a Paddy driving it

I'm not being arrogant or anything like that, I'm absolutely ecstatic that I managed that, and it wasn't without effort - my R8 now has well over 300 miles of qualification on it's clock!

Thank you, and goodnight :dopey:

lol taking pole in both classes

Well, I don't try it again with the Ford GT... actually, I'm going to do the 2nd endurance race at Laguna Seca now.

Edit: I've done the 2nd Laguna race, now with the Ford GT and I must say: This was VERY boring :/ The race with the Toyota 7 was much more fun than this... :/ Not worth a write up, I only noted down what was needed this time.

Qualification has now ended, if my calculations are correct. Earth, if you'd like to check over the leaderboard before I finalize it, please do so :)

Hmm... Mine was the opposite - I enjoyed my GT Class race so much more. You'll probably find out why when the report comes up, if my comments are in it, but the LMP race still wasn't boring.

**Leaderboard Updated**

EDIT - Bit of a formatting change on the table - The new points standing table will stay in it's better-looking font, but I've decided to put the actual printouts, such as qualification and final race times, in a suitable font. I've been forced to mess with it a little, because there may be a miniscule error somewhere in my HTML-based table but I'm not going to see it, so I'll work around it

Yeah, maybe the Ford GT was also boring because it was 11pm local time and I was a bit sleepy ;)

Well, I'm going to submit my time tonight if I have checked the Ford GT replay as well. Maybe I can make some Ford GT screenshots or I missed something that I should have written down.

Edit: Now I become really annoying: Did you know that this ESES championship is actually put in the wrong forum? It's just 6 races and should be put in Short Race series ;) :p

Rrrgh at the forum correction  I suppose it's on the borderline between short series and long series, but every race is an enduro so surely we qualify for long series status :D

Running an enduro at that time isn't the surest path to victory, but if you beat me I'll be ever so annoyed

I'm working on my GT Class report now, and ditto for the GT-R LM update. So check out my gallery if you're interested in how I cut the AI to pieces in Sector One :p

Well, I'm absolutely curious how much I lost due to the fact I don't change setups and you do change them (which means better tire wear (and faster) laptimes right?) Could you tell me what the difference was between running with default setup and adjusted setup if we're talking about tires? Or should that be answerred tomorrow (for me it doesn't matter anymore, but who knows other people are going to run it tonight, so it might help people).

And about being in the wrong forum: That wasn't serious ofcourse, I can't be bothered by that ;)

Well, if the result tread is opened, I wil post my write up + lots of Toyota 7 screenshots, so beware :p

I'm going to post the results in my first post, followed by a detailed writeup later.

Send your writeup to me via PM

Deadline for race times is in 8 and a half hours

Ah ok. Well, I wanted to see the replay again, but I'm not in the mood to do that now and I know not much happened in the Ford GT race, so I'll submit my 2 times now.

As you will see in you pm's Earth, I've put the Toyota 7 write up in the pm as well with pictures. I'll post it here as well tomorrow, but you get a free preview :p

May I ask how many times there are submitted thus far?

There are 4 times submitted for LMP and 3 times submitted for GT

You will bump those up 1 of course.

I say race times are due in 8 hours but if you got a time and its past the deadline go ahead and send it, the real deadline is when the results are posted, most likely tommorow at 6 pm eastern, but I wouldn't risk taking it that close.

Naah, I send it to you now, I think I'm right when I say that when people submit it earlier, you have the chance to post results before 6 pm eastern (what time is that in GMT? :p )

Edit: You must have recieved them now :) I hope you liked the story amd the screenshots and I hope that the story will be useful for your write up :)

Some time around 23:00:00 GMT Wednesday is when I hope to post the results. I will also try to create a Infineon thread as well. Writeup will be done Mulsanne and may take some time ... there is alot of information!

Very impressive writeup and pics Sjenk 👍 I will probably make a results thread so you and others can post your images there, so we dont have to worry about 7 pages etc

Hehe, thanks for the compliments :D

I've seen Mulsanne's previous write up and if it's as good as his last one, it will be a fantastic read :)

Btw, I see I'm the biggest spammer in this event :p

There are now 5 times submitted for both LMP and GT

I think this is about all I'm going to get so I'm going to put together the results right now... still wont be posted until 23 GMT to give time for last second guys

R8man dropped out right? At least he said that in this thread. That means there's just one person left from the people who have qualified as well. Or are there also times submitted by people why did not qualify? Or aren't you going to say anything about that? :p

I can't wait for the results! :p

My time is in. I submitted my qualifying time with it, because I didn't know the deadline was on Sunday.

I can't wait for the results either. :)

Dark Elite
SF - 1'06.500

(In my best Stewie "Family Guy" voice) BLAST!! Awesome lap time. Congratulations.

Dark Elite
I did in fact run a 1'06.588, which astonished me, but I wasn't content to poke Mulsanne with a two-thousandth of a sharp stick so I carried on

That's okay. I lost a pole position in the JGTC GT500 last season by 0.002 sec. BTW, the link to the leaderboard isn't working for me.

EDIT: Spoke too soon.

Mulsanne
(In my best Stewie "Family Guy" voice) BLAST!! Awesome lap time. Congratulations.
Cheers. It took some doing :p but that's not my final time! I got a 1'06.225 in the end. The replay on bumper cam is scary

Mulsanne
(Not naming names or pointing a finger at anyone. Just a general comment. So please, no one take it personally.)
*Raises eyebrows*
I know what you mean. Hope you can catch up next time round 👍

Maybe there's some sort of jinx on us, we can never both finish a race!

Yes, my one and only team-mate dropped out so now I've got to take the superior German engineering to victory all alone... :nervous: it's just not quite that superior!

DE

Sorry for the late post Earth.

Will be in all the other races. Just had alot of work commitments and never quite found the time for the race (Will try harder......will try harder)..... cheers and sorry once again to both EARTH and Dark Elite. :indiff: :indiff: :guilty: :guilty:

*And Sjenk sneaks into the top 5 of the LMP class* :p No, that's a joke of course, too bad you can't race this one (same goes for Mulsanne)

Well, just a few hours away from the result, I can't wait :p (3rd time I said that? :p)

That's a disappointment Smuttney, but so long as you're back next time :p

Sorry about the leaderboard going AWOL, it was in fact my link that was at fault - that'll teach me for typing it manually every time! You'll find it here.

Edit - I'm guessing that we'll have a week, maybe two, of a breather in between events? When are you expecting to start the next race, Earth? (I'm not hurrying you at all, I need my leaderboard to get sorted out with the final race times and we certainly don't want to push poor Mulsanne too hard with the massive race report :p)
