In my opinion PD forgrtting to do Pal version is rubbish.
The two versions would be developed concurrently and translations would have been done months ago?
I guess I just have to wait and see.

The idea that PD told everyone that the PAL version is out in December then saying to themselves "**** me, we forgot the translations for Europe" is ridiculous. That would make them unprofessional.

It's illegal to get the PS2 chipped in the UK, which blows mad donkey balls. So unless you know someone who does it, it's pretty much impossible to get it done.

The UK's most popular radio station 'BBC Radio One' is promoting a competition for the Golden Joystick Awards (uk gaming awards) with people voting for the 'Most Wanted Game of 2004' - along with Halo2 and GTA SA is GT4! - Now i know this is hardly official information but one of the DJ's mentioned that the game she was looking forward to the most has just been dropped from the list because its realise date has been delayed to 2005 - but GT4 is still on the list... make of it what you will...

Read his comment, he's talking about a radio station here in England that is holding a vote for the most wanted games of 2004. One game was taken off of the list because it wouldn't be released this year, however, GT4 was still on the list. This would indicate that the information they have states GT4 will be released this year.

It doesn't mean that it is true or that he believes it.

I spoke to an SCEE employee last week who told me there wasn't a confirmed release date but it won't be out this year, they do expect it to be out in spring 2005 though.

well, i have a reliable source, who always supplies me with games for my unchipped ps2 anywhere up to three weeks in advance of their release dates, providing they can get hold of them early. This source is a retailer, and is totally legal, and is situated in the UK.
They always have a good idea of when something is going to be out, and are not afraid to divulge the info to me, or anyone else who asks for that matter.
I asked them when GT4 had been put back to, weeks ago, when this whole "being delayed" thing started, and i was told, February 2005. roughly the 17th.
I am extremely upset by that, but am also satisfied that that is reality unless the source fones me, and says otherwise, which they will do, if it gets moved forwards.
i now have chance to cane grand theft auto for all it's worth now too.
speaking of which......

SCE Australia are just slack at updating their web site.
The Local EB game store attended a function last week in which SCE spokesperson announed that GT4 will be out in Feb 2005.
The reason given by SCE was they are delaying GT4 till after Christmas so that it will not impact on sales of other new pre Christmas releases.
The SCE team was booed from the stage by all present.
