You had zero ping :crazy: - i hope you were the server :nervous:

The best ping i have manged in online play is 30-40, check in the Call Of Duty 2 thread - some of my screenies are there :D

I have no idea how ping works but the lowest I've encountered so far is 90. :grumpy:

I don't get what this lag crap is though because I'll be in a room with the lowest ping but it gets real choppy in periods. :odd:
 
I also experience that as well. See a room with an average ping of say 51, when i get in i start lagging like crazy :ill: . I think the ping rate of other players may affect your choppiness, otherwise i have a serious trojan :grumpy:

Yeah, I'm thinking lag goes both ways, ideal for no lag is if everyone has around the same ping?
 
You can never be too sure with trojans :sly: , but yeah i doubt it.

The ideal scenario would be if everyone had no lag like you said. I can remember some instances of ( i call it spot running ) serious lag where players with 999 ping started to walk on the spot because the lag was so serious :P

In those circumstances gameplay did deterioate quite rapidly. :grumpy:

That tends to be quite annoying, especially when your trying to nail the chap who did it and the same friggin' thing happens again - excuse my French.

He's probably thinking uber nub coming back for more :lol:
 
:lol: Speaking of noobs... There was one noob room CB and I went into and they had all the weapons so all the morons were running around with rocket launchers. :rolleyes: I obviously didn't have a chance with my lowly machine gun and so it made me look bad because I got into the neg that much faster.
 
That's crazy!!

Did they have the Rocket Launchers when they spawned or was it because when you spawned you were owned all the time as you couldn't get a proper footing?
 
That coupled with a small map is a recipe for a psychotic break :P

This reminds me of one of the maps in the Goldrush version of Soldier Of Fortune 2. The map is call bunker nycmd4 or something like that, basically its ridiculously small, there were around 16-20 players and the only way not to die quickly, was that you had to spawn next to the shotgun :lol:, basically there was a 1/16 or so chance of not dieing too quickly :P.

Just have to make sure you get into the room early enough so that you can gather momentum easier. :P
 
The one that should be most interesting is Splinter Cell although I gave up on the game because they were so restrictive in following the mission. :grumpy:
 
Yeah, my brain is finding it a bit hard to seperate the information - i guess it's because it's still early in the afternoon :P.

Brain is at peak performance around 5-6pm :D

Good pics. I think we spent more time screwing around trying to blow stuff off our bodies more than we actually played the game.
I was disapointed we couldnt blow eachothers limbs off any time we wanted but it was still a lot of fun. Heck in 640 I dont even see blood. Cant wait to eventually get my new pc and TRULY enjoy the game. 👍
We really need to get some pics of the Chuck Norris roundhouse action. :lol: The intense kicking battles make me laugh soooo friggin hard!! :lol:
 

Its too bad we cant talk thru the headset too. I cant stand typing during a game but thats the only way for us to communicate. Look at this pic you took above. The last thing I typed was "If it flies off get a screen shot" :lol:👍

I had my headset on the entire time but Fear doesnt allow people to talk to each other. Just like you, I kept dying every time I went to type something. :indiff:
 
I forget where but there's a forum where the had a list of things that needed to be improved on the multiplayer part of the game.

I'd like Searchable rooms and for certain members. Yeah, the headset too.

edit: Don't ask me how but I had a really good night. I wasn't a nOOb at all. :D

Unfortunately I didn't get screens because I was too busy killing everyone. :sly:

 
Scores not too bad - better than what i would have got anyway :D

Ping seems to have shot up and this fury chap seems to be on a role - was he playing normally with no aids? *cough aimbot*
 
Fury and that Sara person kepted killing me. I got them back eventually one or two times. :mischievous: I guess they were more on the pro side.

Oddly, I didn't encounter any slow down but the pings did seem high for me.

Oh, I might want to mention a small detail. These rooms I played in were not nOOb rooms, but full blown normal rooms complete with friendly fire off. :scared: It was great practice and I think I learned a lot fast. One room even had the bullet time on which oddly I found more fun than irritating. :D

Playing with out friendly off is good training but can be quite annoying especially on levels with a lot of people and you got teammates flanking the opposition left right and centre! In these kind of situations i tend to bump in to teammates coming towards me - ordinarily i would think they are the enemy right? so the automatic reaction is to shoot - especially annoying on COD2 when the russians and germans look the same on some levels like Leningrad.
 
Yeah, I actually did well... I kill as many friendlies as they did me. :D

I was real good at flanking in certain levels that I knew better. I don't think there was an overly huge amount of people at one time..?

Apparently I had pissed off a teammate by getting a big gun before him and he was pissed so he killed me. I spawned around them found the guy, killed him, and took back the gun. Later he killed me back. :lol:
