Apparently I had pissed off a teammate by getting a big gun before him and he was pissed so he killed me. I spawned around them found the guy, killed him, and took back the gun. Later he killed me back. :lol:

Last time i accidentally killed a teammate i was headbashed by him and he kept killing me :grumpy: , i wanted to waste him but i wasn't annoyed enough! he was kicked from the server via punkbuster though :D silly noob.
 
When I get a chance i'll post my F.E.A.R benchmark score up real soon. Also look out for more screens later on today hopfully guys.
 
I would say its no 100% dissappointment, also the ending of the game seems to be setting up something great for F.E.A.R 2.

Alright, the entire time you're looking for man A:..You find man "A" and he gives himself up to you?

Then you fight naked Chick B in your nightmares/dilusions/flashbacks...

then you run from complex fighting naked souls who come from holes in space/time.....

then you somehow get outside the building in record time might i add....Only to find..a nuclear explosion occured..about 2 miles in another direction....and wow..you're on a one way street, with a "mighty wood fence" stopping you....

I thought this was about a TEAM....A Fear TEAM..not..You....Some chick who does nothing.....Your boss...and the token black guy medic...

It sets up for..The Girl to come back....This time, she'll ONLY have those "ghost naked guys" unless the govt decides to make some more replicants for some random psy jakkazz to go crazy and control...

I know it was all a "test" to see if YOU could make it...but..Now what...What kind of threat other than naked souls is left.

I quickly played some of the first level before i went to school just to see how my puter handled it.... when i got to the part with the tiles falling from the wall and that gory image flashes up scared the living hell out of me. I sense this game shall pwn!
I convinced my dad to buy it also. lol his puter is better than mine

F.E.A.R. SEQUEL FOR PC, NEXT-GEN CONSOLES

Feel the F.E.A.R. as sequel to uber gun-porn shooter comes to PCs and next-gen consoles

F.E.A.R. was undoubtedly one of the most impressive PC games to hit last year, with insane levels of graphical flare and enough hardcore gun porn to satisfy even the stalest shooter addict.

Today, developer Monolith announced that a number of F.E.A.R. sequels are already underway, heading to PC's and multiple next-generation consoles. Due to the developer's old publisher VU Games owning the F.E.A.R. name, the sequels will go under a new as-yet-unannounced guise, although with the same characters and storyline.

Rather than porting a single game to PC and consoles, Monolith is tailoring the sequels to each platform's strengths. This should please many PC gamers tired of console-leaning trends apparent in the Call of Duty and Far Cry franchises.

There was no mention in today's announcement of the heavily rumoured Xbox 360 version of the original F.E.A.R., which if real, would be handled by original publisher VU Games.

"We really want to raise the stakes for the universe and build on the things players loved about F.E.A.R.," said Samantha Ryan, Monolith president. "In addition to continuing the series on PC, we're committed to bringing it to next-generation consoles by creating separate titles tailored to each audience instead of a one-size-fits-all approach."
 
If FEAR 2 comes out on the 360 thats probably the system I would buy it for once I got a 360. Which wont be much longer. Mabey a month or 2.
I should also be able to purchase my built PC within the next month once money tax refun arrives.

YEah no kidding. I also just bought it only to find out our comp wasnt fast enough to play in decent quality. Soo hopefully within 2 weeks I should have a hardcore gaming computer. Then I will finally get to enjoy FEAR the way its supposed to be played. Hurry up income taxes!

I hear that! I emailed Alienware UK yesterday to recommend a spec to play current games like Fear and to give me a quote on that spec. Lazy bastids are taking their time replying! :ouch:

Do you have a HDTV or are you hooking it to a HDTV pc monitor? Either way it should look superb.
 
What FPS are any of you getting in the video test? My new computer is having problems and I want to see what its supposed to be around in FEAR and Counterstrike. Damn shame I have had FEAR since christmas and still cant play it in full quality yet. :(
 
Now that I have my new computer working 100% I had a chance to play the single player of FEAR last night in 1280x960. I am at the 2nd or 3rd level where you drop down into the hall of blood and there is a skeleton at the end that jumps up at you. While this is a good game I just dont see all the hype behind it yet. Mabey after a couple more levels it will get even more fun? The only thing amazing I have seen in the graphis is the water. Most of the water fully responds to your reactions just like Kameo on the 360. Besides that I havent seen anything incredible in graphics yet even set on the highest settings. Still having fun and hope the game picks up in action soon.
