Now I finally have a reason to ramp the settings up to 'Ultra' which in laymen's terms means D3D 11.

Don't see any real differences? Look at the shadows and lighting. The reflections are a lot more, well, reflective..., the lighting and shadows have more depth (especially on a track like Monaco where the entire start/finish section is trees galore) but the most significant difference comes when there's weather involved, which I'll capture a few shots of later today. Hopefully at Singapore.

What are you using to capture your shots/angles?

Anyway, decent race at Monza.
Alonso & Button offer up a battle royale with me for the first part of the race. Multiple lead changes til' I pitted a lap early & coming out behind Sutil, Hamilton, & Vettel. Once they pitted, I ended up chasing Hamilton until I saw Alonso & Button come out of the pit. Once Hamilton pitted, I regained the lead.

Around the 2nd to last lap after building up a lead, almost threw it away.

But with a quick save.

Already have the graphics maxed out, so I need to find the ways to make it look better & not use the replay mode to get shots. I also would rather not go & download all the HD mods (esp. if they might be included in the 2011 conversion), but I may end up doing so anyway.

Fraps

The '11 mod comes with one lighting mod but there's still standalone mods you can add that make the game look even better; HD liveries, helmets, skies, weather, etc, etc.

LRGP R31 Photogasm.

High def livery is incredibly high def (textures are 8192 x 8192 as opposed to the "normal" 2048 x 2048, or 4096 x 4096)

Terronium, those screen shots are amazing. What rig do you have? and would mine be able to replicate similar results?

I bought the PS3 version, but since have bought a new custom build PC, and if i can get good framerate at that quality i will definately buy a PC version of this.

I have:

i7 950 (3.06gHz quad core)
12gb DDR3 1600 RAM
2 x ATI HD6870 in X-Fire
SSD Drive

cheers,

Absolutely. Your two video cards are more than enough to max out F1 '10 with frames in the upper 40's and 50's, mods and all.

As for my rig, it's a bit outdated:

Q6600 (Which is running at the stock 2.4 at the moment)
4GB DDR2-1066
EAH6950 2GB

Some great pics there T12. Has the 6950 improved the image quality, pics look better. I know the mod has some changes but they seem a lot better than your old 4000 series which looked a bit muddy.

Is that cloud cover a separate file, looks good?

I haven't really played the F1 2011 mod much, I get frame skipping issues every 10 mins.

Came with the patch.

Download the patch. It's likely because you installed the Truelights mod and I forget the other one; they're both buggy but the patch fixes that and thensome.

Wow some nice pics over here... I tried taking some on my PS3 but they were real ugly so I decided not to use the feature very often... :(
