I re-ordered GT2 and CSP Jan. 7, this monday my status showed "delivered", today I got and email from UPS with my tracking number but just for the CSP ...

Where is my GT2 tracking number ??

Do you think Fanatec is going to send me the GT2 later this month even when my status showed "delivered" ??

I would bet your GT2 is also in that shipment. When I had an order with multiple boxes it still showed one tracking number and 15lbs which is the weight of the CSPs.

I only got one tracking number, but received both items. Check the UPS site. Does it say 2 items? My email said one, but the UPS site said two.

I hope so :)

As you said the email with the tracking number shows the weight of the CSPs 15lbs (6,9 Kg).

The email from UPS says 1 item ... I'm confused

I think my UPS said 1 item as well so good luck:)

@lunarwolf
It seems that you are from the UK.

We never announced that we will ship the GT2 earlier than January in Europe. It is not the end of January and therefore we do not have any delay so far. You complain heavily in several threads which makes me wonder what you are mad about.

are u taking the piss Thomas?

here is an email from claudia received thursday dec 23rd at 11:04

"Hello,

we received the order and the payment.
Shipping date is early January.

Mit freundlichen Grüßen
Best regards

Fanatec_Gameshop
Claudia Faltermeier"

the reason i am upset is i get BS from you all the time as per emai. Furthermore, last week you were on this thread saying that you would send partial shipments of the GT2 CS edition - which doesn't appear to be true as well!!

you say you have the wheels/pedals then ship them to us now - why wait until Jan 31st since as per your blog you say shifters arrive feb 4th and then add several weeks for customs.

So don't tell me to relax, instead fix the problem (how would you feel if you delivered the product and then i tell you to relax and pay you 3 months later?)

PS I am not the only one complaining, although I admit I am more vocal about it. But if I hadn't started this thread, we would still be even more in the dark to the current chaos

Maybe next time don't advertise pre-orders of CE editions, you know full well you can't deliver, and playing with Jan 31st as still Jan is laughable, may as well be straight and just say Feb then

Congrats this thread has made it to top 5 hot topics in sub-forum, and i am not the only one posting

My GT3Rs and CSP's have said delivered for 2 day's but i still have yet to get a tracking # or anything.

and your arrogance precedes you :p

and how about addressing the contents of my posting rather than playing with words?

This.

Also, have your employees answer all emails and not just from those people who are your favorites list. I don't care how busy they are not shipping items out.

I'm in Canda and ordered a Gt2 and CSP on Dec.17. I have now received both. :) Things were also slowed down a fair bit with all the holiday closures at USPS and CanadaPost so i'm thinking i lost close to a week there.

So all in all i'm happy with my dealings with Fanatec. Is it like dealing directly with a USA or Canadian web store, not quite but still not so bad.

If i was unsure of something i would email Claudia or Kate and they both always replied to me either the same day or next morning.

Hopefully all these ordering problems can be squared away at Fanatec. I would like to see where we in USA or Canada would only deal with the USA supplier and not have to go through two different countries to get things done.

I like to see that some people are receiving their orders even if they ordered after I ordered. I ordered the GT3RS CSP 12-4-2010. My account says paid and pending. They e-mailed me the same week I ordered and said end of Dec. Its now 1-12-2011 and I have nothing at all to show for all my money. If they do this all the time with their orders, I bet they make alot of money on the interest our money collects in their bank while we sit here waiting and waiting. just my 2 cents.:irked:

I'm interested in moving on to a Fanatec WHeel after my G25. Might have missed the post but does Fanatec produce a given quantity of wheels, take pre-orders for said amount, and then ship? Then make more wheels based on more pre-orders?

Are all the wheels limited time items?

No they are not limited items. The only limited edition wheel was the Turbo S and it was capped to 10,000 which are gone. The rest of their wheels are normal production wheels. The GT2 which some people are waiting on is a brand new product so it had a preorder.

Same here. It's been quite a few days and I've seen conflicting posts on forums about when we are supposed to be told our tracking number.

I emailed an address that I think was claudia's, here's hoping I get a reply soon.

I just don't get it, some people get the e-mail saying there stuff is delievered and they get the tracking number the next day. Then there's people that don't get it until a day or 2 before it arrives? Not that it's a big deal, i'd just like to know where this bad boy is. :nervous:

From what I've read they have an intermediary shipping it from their storehouse to USPS. When they tell us it's delivered it might sit around for another week before it even gets to USPS.

The thing is some people claim to get a tracking # right away but it doesn't register until it scans at USPS, and some people seem to get the tracking # a day or even a week later and the thing could be just leaving USPS or it could be a day away from your doorstep.

I have heard people say they emailed claudia and received a number back, so that's what I'm trying.

Well mine is serial# is 738 and I received it on Dec 17th so I don't think that it's too much of a stretch.

Fanatec,
I actually don't think you deserve all this vitriol. You are absolutely accurate in saying that you only promised January on the website I purchased from. You still have plenty of time to fulfill that obligation to me as a customer. However, there are a couple things that I hope you will take as constructive criticism. Honestly, I am thinking about canceling my entire order because of some of these issues. That is by no means a threat, just the reality of one consumer.

1. You need to improve the consistency of information given to customers. It is excellent that you visit all these forums, but I think you as a company should decide on "the company line" and everyone at Fanatec should send out that same message. This doesn't mean to withhold information. I think you should inform the customer base often, but with a consistent message. And you certainly should never engage in unprofessional behavior toward a customer, even if they deserve it fully.

2. No customer should be given preference over others unless they are overly hostile and uncooperative(then they should be told that you won't accept that approach, but they will receive full support when they are ready to express themselves rationally). The inconsistent nature of your tech support is a real thing. As an example: if you just know the right guy to get a hold of, you can get amazing tech support almost immediately. But, if you follow what seems like the correct support process...good luck...you will be waiting weeks or months. This makes me the consumer nervous that I may get a bad unit and be unable to resolve the situation. Which leads to...

3. The product quality of the GT2 is questionable. I know the few may be the loudest, but it seems that at least the first run of GT2s has had its fair share of problems. I do not know your QA/QC processes but surely there is no way some of these issues should have passed such a process (if established). Again, with this long wait, it makes me as the consumer very nervous for what I may receive.

4. I purchased the CS Edition. It would have been appropriate, along with the January information, to have words stating that not all items in the package are in stock and that absolutely no parts will be shipped separately in a package deal. Not a deal breaker, but this would have helped my decision making as a consumer at the time.

Hope that helps, and I hope you give me some feedback. I would specifically appreciate it if you would address the quality issues of the GT2 and what Fanatec has done or is doing to mitigate these production problems. I really don't want to wait until February only to receive an imperfect product, then wait to get a hold of the right tech support guy, and then wait for shipping all over again.

I hope you understand the intent Thomas and take it the right way. I think we would all like to see Fanatec as a successful company pushing out high quality product.

Well 1st of all mine was delayed one day because of an incorrect zip code(my fault typo) that Claudia corrected. So I would've had it on the 16th. And we're roughly in the same part of the country I'm in Oklahoma. So that looks accurate. Wheels were released for processing on the 13th so it looks like your order got in just in time to ship with the first batch.

As far as I can see all of the Pre-orders have been shipped and delivered. It looks like people who Preordered CS Editions are waiting because of components which is just what Fanatec said they would do.

I can only speak for my experience. Every communication and issue has been handled quick and promptly.

I also don't think you can read anything into priority from a serial numbers. As a distributer myself(medical equipment) serial numbers mean nothing. It's the lot numbers that matter. I'm sure they received a large shipment of wheels and can almost garuntee it wasn't organized by serial number so it says nothing as to priority. All it tells you is that it's safe to say the first US batch was over 1,000 units if my number is 738 and was shipped the first day.

:scared: only 1 week...

I must say I also did not understand this. Some people order and get their product in ~1 week and others wait for months...

Mine is still on "open" and nothing happens so far.

Everything I've ordered was delivered within one week except for the wheel waiting on the preorder. But it shipped quick. The CSPs and the color kit were ordered on a Tuesday and received the following Monday I believe.
