What the?

Good catch. It's those little glitches in the physics that keep turning me off when I try complex machines. On the other hand, no real system could be as inefficient as your record-breaking (and my previous holder) slowpoke.. They just wouldn't overcome the friction.

The game doesnt load up for me anymore at home...ever since the ad update I can't play it.

Well, I may just lose patience with the site any more. Since the ads started, it takes as much as a full minute for a page to load, and saving a solution isn't any better. You may as well FORGET scrolling through your "My Designs" menu. It's a shame, I was starting to enjoy those strkiller ones posted earlier, they're quite a bit more challenging.

Also, I used to use the mouse wheel to zoom, but now that the page is large enough to carry ads, it scroll up and down as well, so I keep having to go to the scroll bar after zooming. Just doesn't work well any more.

Still doesn't work for me and I cleared my cookies, I think it works in IE though. (I use firefox)

Easy 6 wasn't so easy..

Agreed! Here's what I did.

Easy 5 is a nice one..

I used a chain hoist, but it almost didn't work, as it's heavy enough the chain passed through tha wheels! The yellow wheels were worse, didn't work at all, which is why I built it asymetrical, switched the yellows out.

Did I miss something, or do wheels not count? I see 9 pieces. :sly:

I've been playing with the bomb glitch lately. When I first saw these I was thinking it was "cheating" to use a glitch to solve a puzzle, but it's actually quite difficult. The glitch has no logic, and the slightest change in setup completely changes the glitch behavior. Once in a while, though, you get a very satisfying result.

Rolling Away. Notice the opposing wheels to hold it in place while the glitch times in (or to put it another way, while the fuse burns down.)

Junkyard. Fun to watch it fly.

Full-up. I discovered working this one that the wood rods are WAY stronger than the water rods. Wasn't sure before, but explosives puts it to rest. (They're heavier, too, when that matters.)

Around the Bend. Sometimes the physics just goes completely nuts after grenades. Climbing air is cool.

Up the Hump. You can throw a lot of weight around with explosives, too.

Up the Stairs. This one is weird for two reasons. At the end, it blows itself sky high into hyperspace, breaks the chain, and imparts just enough momentum onto the object piece to win. However, if you hit Back, then Stop, then Start to reset it, it behaves completely differently.

Big Ball. This one doesn't work on my computer at home, but it works on every other computer I've loaded it on, including at the office where I built it (during lunch, of course!)

Another try. A slight variation, that does work at home.

Back and Forth. For a glitch solution, this one is just plain elegant.

Edit: to add Easy 9 and Easy 10. All that stuff on the left of Easy 9 serves 2 purposes, balance and holding the car in place to wait for the ball to fall in. Easy 10 was just showing off for Metar. 💡

When you see it, you will **** amazement. The single most awesome contraption in the history of silly challenges, bar, of course, the TB-Metar Longest Contraption Challenge.

Ditch the first 't' in your link, Metar.

As for the longest contraption, I'm still the king, it appears. Hooray for me! :p

I wish I had the time to challenge you again, but I'm lacking time to create, and the ability to run my contraptions... I see that Hurkyl is close, though!

Good thing close don't count!

If you do have time to make a new one, I can still run it for you.

For gods sake, this game is retarded. I STILL can't load it and the forums don't help.

As everyone else manages to load and play it fine, I'm guessing it's not the game that's retarded.
