Stillll YEAH!!!! I was screaming so loud.

Awesome finish! And Kyle Busch just pushed Harvicks cars out of the way on pit road. I hope NASCAR puts the Ban Hammer down on that bastard.

I know I can't believe Kyle did that, what and idiot.

He really should be suspended for that, someone on pit road could have easily gotten injured.

Points won't be up until Monday as I have family stuff during the morning(after the F1 race) and have to work in the afternoon.

Kyle Busch confirmed for pussy of the year, all years.

All this talk about the "new" mature Kyle Busch has gone right out the window.

Next up is Dover.

Would there be anything wrong with myself throwing my name in even though we are like 1/3 of the way through the season?

The other Fantasy league on NASCAR.com I had going isn't working out lol

No problem at all, you even get the minimum points(15/race) for the rounds you missed.

Submitted mine early, going to have a few commitments before raceday (may miss the race all together) so better safe than sorry!

The one time you don't pick the 78...

That last caution killed my day! :(

Congrats to Adrenaline and MustangRyan for scoring the most points with 77. Also a welcome to TommyWizard. Also, just a side note, Chances14 is evil.:sly:

There was one person that I couldn't find on here, if you can get in contact with me on the forums I will add you.

Next up is the All-Star race, remember that there is a different setup for this race.

All-Star Race Rules:

-You must select 2 drivers to advance from the Showdown race into the All-Star race, this includes the fan vote.(25 points/driver that advances)
-If a driver you selected gets in via the fan vote, you will only receive 10 points.
-Only one driver will be selected for the All-Star race, 75 points will be awarded if they win, if they don't 0 points will be awarded.

Nice lineup MustangRyan! We'll share top points for the week with 77.

Do you think the all star points are a little extreme?

Do you think the all star points are a little extreme?

Not really because the odds of someone correctly picking the 3 drivers who advance from the showdown and the overall race winner are fairly slim.

Wow thought having all three of my drivers in the top 10 would still pull me a good points day. Guess winning a race means more than anything. Really sucks for that last caution, I was looking at having two of my guys in at least the top 3. 👎

Can someone break down the all star race, how it works, the showdown and transfers or whatever? Thanks.
We pick 2 drivers to advance, and then 1 driver to win? For 3 total, or 2 total? Does the 1 who wins, have to be from the 2 we picked to transfer...etc

Basically you select 2 drivers from the showdown race who you think will advance, if either does you get 25 points for each one and a slightly better chance in the main race.

Than you select one driver who is already locked into the race, so you could have anywhere from 1-3 drivers in the All-Star race.

It will be more clear once the pick form is up. I've also added a rule regarding the fan vote.

I was referring to the actual NASCAR format of the race. Found this on the Wiki, but I'm unsure if it's accurate for 2011, I couldn't find anything on Nascar.com but I didn't look as hard as I should of.

Wikipedia
100 Laps: 50 Laps, 20 Laps, 20 Laps, 10 Green Flag Laps (2009-present)
For the 25th anniversary of the race, two of the more popular elements of the classic format returned for this special edition.
The first segment became a 50-lap quarter, with a mandatory pit stop taking place in Lap 25 of the segment, the pit stop must be a four-tire Stop and take place during a green flag condition. Following the first two segments, cars will have the option of pitting, but they will lose track position should they do so.
The second and third segments were twenty laps each, returning to the 2007 format. Following the end of the third segment, a ten-minute break took place, allowing for adjustment of cars preceding the final segment, a ten-green flag lap shootout. The popularity of the double-file restarts throughout the race lead NASCAR to adopt the rule for the second half of the 2009 season.[1]

But even this doesn't explain how you transfer, how many transfer, or how many segments you have to transfer through etc etc.
That's what I was asking.

The first and second place finishers at the end of the showdown race advance(It's sort of the same setup as the Bud Shootout at Daytona), plus the fan vote winner.

Watching the qualifying right now and they show Jimmy Johnson in the #5 car, and Mark Martin in the #25 car.

Unless there's something going on I don't know about...

Picks sent. :scared:

Both are correct.

Seriously? Weirdness...

JJ has the #5 for a promotion that Lowe's is having, so Mark has the #25 for the 25th anniversary oooooffff.... something.

Went out on a limb this week.

(It's clear who the favorites are for the all star race  )
