.......and they gave you this special wooden glass holder to drink it from... ever seen those?
Yeah, they have them in the Belgian pub Le Trappiste in Altrincham, UK, I always make a point of visiting when my wife & I are back there!
They're quite tricky to drink from, kind of like a yard-of-ale, if you get an air bubble trapped in the narrow part just before you reach the level of the bulb at the bottom of the glass, the liquid stops flowing for a second, and if you tip the glass too much to get it going, the air bubble descends allowing the contents of the bulb to come rushing out over your face! Can be quite messy, but its very difficult to employ the yard-of-ale twisting technique that is necessary to avoid this if you leave the glass in the wooden holder!

Actually, my wife & I decided that we're needing to lose a little weight, and thought eating more healthily for a while might help. As part of this we thought we'd cut down on beer calories as well. A trip to BevMos saw us come back with numerous 6-packs of various "lite" beers, which we reviewed to see if we could find one that we could bear to drink regularly.
Here's a little mini-review:-
San Miguel Light - Phillipines. Very little colour or taste. Only way to make it palatable was to add some Roses Lime Cordial, which has so much sugar that it negated the fact that the beer was lo-calorie to begin with!
Sapporo Light - Japan/USA. A light version of the Japanese classic brewed in the US for the light beer market. Atrocious!
Kirin Light - Japan/USA. Same as above, slightly less calories, 95 as opposed to about 105, but a lot more palatable. Doesn't taste like real Kirin though.
Michelob Ultra - USA. Removing carbs from beer that had very little offer in the first place has an obvious effect! There's nothing left in it that's worth speaking of! Awful! (Only 60 something calories though!)
Corona Light - Mexico. Very close in taste to normal Corona, and adding the real lime slice certainly makes this a palatable alternative. Quite high calories, ~120 as I recall, for a light beer though.
Coors Light - USA. No colour, and an ad-campaign that invites you to "Taste The Cold!" Cold isn't actually a flavour, but then since there's no other flavour in this beer to speak of they had to invite you to taste something.
"Taste The Near Frozen Gnat's Urine" probably wouldn't sell much beer, but is much more honest!
Bud Light - USA. Pretty much as above, but has a modicum of taste about it, albeit quite a dry unpleasant aftertaste, much like regular Bud in the US.
Surprisingly Bud sold in Europe isn't bad out of a can, but then, it's 5% ABV, which is stronger than US domestic Bud. It's the same story with Heineken in UK, which is the generic weak lager, unless you get Heineken Export which is the 5% ABV stuff and tastes better. Heineken in the US however is always the export strength, and is not bad!
New Belgium Loft - CO, USA. Excellent! Can't believe it's a light beer (118 Calories) 👍
Samuel Adams Light - USA. Not a bad attempt at a light version of regular Sam. Not great, but a country mile ahead of the big domestic light beers!
Becks Premium Light - Germany/USA. After the Michelob Ultra experience, it was with much trepidation that I ventured near this 64-calorie beer. I like regular Becks, and I figured taking out so much from it to drop the calories that much, it'd come to taste something like sparkling water. Wrong! I was extremely surprised by how closely this stuff resembles the real beer, still tastes like a German Pilsner. 👍
There you go! Since we tried this, we've come to the conclusion that life is too short to drink awful beer, and while Loft & Becks Light were OK, spending an extra hour in the gym is worth it to appreciate the "full-fat" beers we know & love!
springs to mind, and some of the Pacific NW microbrews, although a lot of them are way over-hopped to make up for the fact that everything beerwise in the US seems to be served ice-cold! Cooling the beer down too much means that the aromatics are not released as easily and consequently you need to add way more hops to taste the bitterness. 
Served at cellar temperature (55F) a beer is much more tasty, but in the general opinion of most Americans, "warm"!
