Well I'd be willing to help but I think it handles quite beautifully in stock form... What would you like to change about it?

I LOVE driving this car now! I turn off all aids except abs set to 1

I hope this helps

I wrote a long post....somehow it didn't show.

Long story short:

I maxed it out. then I tuned it carefully for hours, this is what I have and I love it

Everything Default except:

-2 Ride Height -7
5.6 Spring Rate 7.9
4 Dampers(ext) 4
4 dampers (comp) 4
4 anti roll bar 2

wheel alignment
0.0 camber angle (-) 0.5
0.02 toe angle 0.20

transmission
top speed 212

I guarantee a smooth ride. Especially if you have a Giallo color, and drive on High speed ring! (hint...turn off TCS, drift)

Great job tuning the suspension. This tune still needs some work though. I hit the rev limiter on circuit de la sarthe but that was the least of my problems. Load this car up on the A-Spec MR Sports Cup. You basically cannot apply any trail braking or the back end comes flying out. I was able to beat Deep Forest but Circuit de la Sarthe is virtually impossible. I cannot safely make the left hand turn after the two chicanes. If I take it slow the A.I. Drivers ram me and if I take it fast the car goes into a spin as soon as I brake because the car is turning slight right. The high speed eases later in the track are tough too since you cannot brake late unless you want to upset the rear. :scared: i tried messing with the brake balance to no avail. but I love the suspension...it doesn't flinch accelerating out of turns.

I personally like it the way it is :) I beat the races you are talking about with no crashes. Then again, I spent hours doing time trials in Rome city course. I generally break early and slowly increase pressure on the brake pedal.

I think tuning ends up coming down to personal preference, but still let us know any new tunes you come up with this car, because it is indeed fun to drive, and a challenge car to tune right.

Make sure you choose "Giallo" for the color though :)

Yes, try fitting custom suspension and diff but leave the settings as is. I was in the same boat once, trying everything and only making it worse. Was about to tear my hair out, so I reset the settings to default and hey presto!

Note. Make sure if you are using standard suspension that you use the standard diff with it and if you use custom suspension use the custom diff. They are setup to compliment each other and wont work well if you mix them up.

The 512 BB is a beautiful car. As Ferrari's first mid-engine road car, it blazed the trail for cars like the 430, Enzo, and 458. But it has some flaws.

The real car has a weight distribution of 40/60. And, the 5 liter V-12 and gear box are placed directly over the rear axle. This is why the car drives like it is pulling a trailer. The center of balance is far behind the driver.

Lowering the back of the car slightly reduces the tail wagging effect. I run it

-2 front
-3 back

I've also found it doesn't like much camber.

I have won all three of the MR races on Sports Soft tires with this car. But, it is a challenge. With these tires, you need to have a delicate touch on the controls. But, if you equip it with RS tires, you can drive it like you stole it.

ok this is with the car maxed out..

LSD - Initial 10
ACC 50
BRAK 30

Ride Height -20 front
-25 rear

Spring rate - 6.9 front
7.8 rear

Extension/compression 5 front
4 rear

anti roll bar 6 front
4 rear

camber 0.1 front
0.7 rear

toe 0 front
0.20 rear

Brake balance 6 front
5 rear

Ballast(not needed if you like tail happy:))
amount 33kg all the way in the front

tires front racing medium
rear racing soft

im still tweaking it, but it runs consistent 1.32s on trial mountain easily. just as fast as my race modified and tuned evo ix. I'm sure a better driver could break 1.30

(also this is with no helps on, and no abs)

There is a 550PP setup at TheCardboardBox. Thr link to the regress is in my signature, below.

It's tuned on S3 tires, but works great on race tires as well.

I don't get it...

He means that the thread is from 2011, and yet its been bumped back to life a year later. The "AWESOME" bit just means that they are so awesome that we need to re-read them a year later.

At least, that's my interpretation of it. Anyway, while we're here, to the guy who brought the thread back into view (not you, Solidsnake), sorry to say, but 1:32 around Trial Mountain with slicks and all that power isn't all that great…just saying.

It's not?:( And here I thought my driving was getting better :dopey:

I can get that time with Mad Finn's 512BB that runs on Sport Softs and I didn't use ABS (which means it acted like even more of a freak of nature than usual). Yeah that's...a pretty bad time to get on slicks at TM.

People use our setups yet forget to write reviews that we need for improve the settings.. :(

Two possible explanations:
1. The settings were so good that there was no need to improve
2. They were too deadly and they died before they could give feedback

Or……

They were so good that the guy died from excitement when writing the review for feedback. Ok, that's 3, but still…

At least you get damn reviews.

Sorry. D:

Since I've been sick all of this week, I've slowly gotten around to reviewing the tunes I've been driving for a long while. I promise I'll review the 512BB. Don't cry. ;w;

Leo's not even on GT5 anymore. He's off shooting metal birds, so the reviews can wait. :p

Actually…it's been a while since I've done something for MFT as well…eh, what the hell.

Im sorry i didnt realize i was writing a tune for ayrton senna lol... i never claimed to be good. But as an average player playing with no helps no abs. Manual shift. Using the thumbsticks as gas/brake.. its a pretty good time. And i can downshift in a corner and brake without it spinning out. Aka a good tune for an aver driver. And i like to go 10/10 im sure if i where to roll on the throttle easy and drive calm it would. Be alot quicker. But what fun is that?

No no no, don't be mistaken, we're not "Attacking" you for a slow time, we've all been there, it's just an observation. Granted, we made it in a fairly harsh way, so I apologize for that.

No its cool i dont pretend to be the best.. i just like to have fun. I take my 512 and ruf rgt online against all the queers with zondas and lambos because i like the cars and they are fun to get sideways and aggravate. Some kids when i pass them sideways in a corner.

Ha, my plan works..! Um, did I say that out loud..?

Would you rather have me coming after you with my trusty old Fiskars, hmm? :trouble:

Nope. We heard nothing. :p

I'll just take cover in a R35 then, you'd have to butcher one of your favourite cars to get to me, and I'd get to see one of my most hated cars die! Perfect ending. :p
