I'm hosting the race tomorrow as Rich is busy. This means you MUST ADD ME TO YOUR FRIENDS LIST if you want to join my PRIVATE LOUNGE which is where the race will be held.

P.S. Rich, is tomorrow the season start?

P.S.S. Everyone please be careful going into turn 1 tomorrow. Please avoid a pile up. Overtake carefully. Don't be ambitious

Yeah the race will be for points. Most of those who seem like mainstays are here.

Make sure to put the F2007 in on Hards first, than change it to Softs for the F10. Dont let people leave once quali starts. I'd really like to make it, I'll see what I can do. Check to make sure everybody has a manual, ABS is allowed since you can jack the settings up with your wheel anyway.

Whooped some Michigan butt, lol. :sly:

I don't believe an overtime win constitutes a but whooping, but a victory none-the-less. Actually when I asked that question I had just found out UMD was in the Frozen Four. I was asking because I went to Grand Valley. GVSU and UMD have had some back-and-forth battles in DII football playoffs recently.

I must avenge the loss for my MI brothers.

Yeah the screaming (very distracting) followed by the fireworks was stressful (Super GT race). Right next to UMD.

Hey NFSCARBON1, you need to add mustardaddict as a friend on PSN, the race will be in his lounge. He tried to add you today but got your name mis-spelled. :sly:

The F2007 is much quicker than the F10, thats why it will start on Hards and hopefully finish on hards depending on what the replay shows as tires go. Its my special way of trying to make things more competitive. For this race I wont DQ if the F2007s change to softs in the 2nd run because I dont know if the replay will detect that or not? Does anybody know, :ouch:
Just sent him a FR.
Replay does show tyre choice. If someone is going to watch the race would it be possible to tell people to pit again if they use the wrong tyres?

I may not be able to enter all the races as I have exams in the next few weeks
:(

MustardAddict hasn't added me yet. Only 20mins before practice starts

OKay you;ll get the friend in a few minutes.

I think open lobby is better as lounge lacks a 'kick' option. People on the host friends list can just join and can't be kicked out.

Sorry for double post, should have added this to the last one.

how many hours from now will the race start??

For god sake, I got disconnected on lap 34 of 35 :(

Stupid Sister listening to rubbish on her laptop.

On a better note, welcome to the post race discussion!

Couple of issues:
-Back markers (lapped cars)
-my crazy lounge
-no shows

First of all, in the case of a disconnect towards the end of a race, I will give the person a 10 second penalty added to the place their in at the time of the disconnect. And you must have completed atleast 50% of the laps. I think thats fair.

reventon, read the first post of the thread. All races start at 7:00 PM GMT (Greenwich mean time). The practice opens every time at 6:15 PM Greenwich mean time.

I agree that is fair. My car went really weird one lap and didn't want to brake and I tapped the leader (after he lapped me). Very odd.

What happened on turn one? Seemed like lots of crashes at the same time!

Lots of no shows yeah. I had an annoying race. My braking points for some reason didn't work so I ended up in loads of incidents while I adjusted and then they suddenly were fine again. Caused me to drop right down the field. Every now and then I would spin on second Lesmo due to taking too much kerb and in Ascari I would randomly spin occasionally and hit a see through barrier. Oh, well, on a positive note, I have 18 points. I think. I was second of the F10's so I believe that is right

Points are updated

There was some issues with the race. Some people rear-ending one another. Its important to make sure you brake for the chicane at 140 meters (just past the 150 marker).

At the beginning a spaniard hijacked my lounge and didnt speak English. I deleted him but it did not help (he was still there) and there's no kick feature in private lounge. Nice PD....nice.

The times will stay static guys. I had 20 on the list (17 of them are added on PSN.) However there was a 60% no show which is really bad.

Seemed like there was a good race between 2nd and 3rd.

From memory I had Artmann, Tool, Mustard, NFSCarbon, jepoks, Golfer, Rich77 in that order. Everybody seemed to be okay in the corners. Golfer hit me pretty hard on lap 2 but his position wont change with the 10 seconds penalty.

While I didn't expect that situation to drag on so long; I still think an appropriately titled lounge would be better. We got all sorts of outsiders at Fuji. Granted most showed up after race start.

In the future it'll be important to tell lapped cars to move over or get a penalty. The lapped cars were ruining it. I was ahead of Artmann before braking too late into the first chicane being all worried about Rich77 catching me.

It'll be in the open lobby again next time, and I'll just kick anybody who;s an outsider.

That Felix guy came out of no where. I've gotten rid of all the dodgy looking names on my list.

I was comfortably braking for the first chicane from the 100 metres mark.

When did "mustardaddict" pit? Ahh man, I was rooting for lapped cars to cause havoc (specifically to those ahead of me):sly:

i updated the points everyone

Yeah, I pitted on lap 16 after crashing in the 2nd chicane. Always best to pit after a spin, some Nascar guy taught me that.

I was comfortably braking for the first chicane from the 100 metres mark.

I'd only do 100m when I had ABS ON, hard tires during practice. ABS OFF, hard tires I was doing 120-130m. Probably conservative, but I didn't practice much ABS OFF this track.

Rich77 didn't want to get lapped thats for sure, although when my tyres went off around lap 14 he did legitamately unlap himself. Then later on I caught him back up (I think he went off?) and re lapped him.

About 130m I think I was breaking at. Very hard trying to stop on cold tyres with no ABS.

Generally guys, if your behind someone and going 210-213 mph 150 meters is the best braking point. On the first lap 90 meters is a good point at the slower speed. However, you CANNOT be hitting the car in front. Hold your position behind the car in front if you have no run.

I was on soft tyres, abs off and braking at 100 metres. Not problems at all. Not even a lock up. Strange how others strugled. Thats why I had a lot of incidents then. My braking points were later than most. Although I had bad gear ratios so 201mph was tops in a slipstream. 190 without

Dam how did i miss the race , i believe ive failed 2 understand GMT time so im confued as 2 when we racing now ? , its funny cuz i missed the malaysian GP as well dam DVR didnt record it .

It may be wise to throw in an EDT (or CDT since that is where host is) in parenthesis after GMT. Not that it's changed since the first pre-season race.
