Oh really. What a bunch of BS, PD. That's obscene.... I might do the open lobby. I'll open it up around 6:00 GMT. Qualifying at 7 PM GMT as advertised.

Yeah....I dont want to turn anybody off by adding assists to the F10. To even the laps I'd really have to turn SRF on the F10. And STILL, the F2007 might be a bit quicker. We'll just have to have seperate winners, one in the F10 category and one in the F2007 cat. Sort of like a LMP and GT thing. I may turn ABS off for the F2007, the thing has a $hitload of grip regardless, locking em up is almost makes you giggle rather than crash.

Rich S , you dont need to separate both

just require them to meet regulations ie : manual , no abs , no aids.

F2007 / F10 works - you shouldn't separate I mean this is a championship we'll see what happens but the F10 is as hard and as unpredictable as the real thing and on the other hand F2007 is very very easy which makes it quicker overall but not just easy it can go through corners a bit quicker even if mastered.


just meet the regulations and thats it - manual , no abs , no aids.


Also it would be nice to see teams of 2 , meaning there is constructor's championship and driver's championship

or we could do that on the next season I guess
 
I could record which car everybody uses tomorrow, then pair the F2007s with the F10s, and get a couple of 1 man teams for the odd ones out. I'd have to trust that they are reading the original post on the thread, and know whats going on (a team championship and a individual championship).
 
I am not interested racing if its not going to be realistic enough.

automatic and abs doesn't exist in Formula 1 and if they did then it would be too easy which makes you quickest overall I mean the F2007 is already a cake on a pie on a cake and if you add it all together its not going to be artificial enough to be a championship season.

Everything wont be artificial with automatic and ABS - cornering , braking , accelerating , tyre saving.

The F2007 alone is already non artificial and your putting up AT and ABS , F2007 would barely get on a slide if you have AT it will never ever get into a maneouver

Im sorry but AT + ABS are completely different cars from F1 cars that is a huge difference in terms of pretty much everything.

I'm thinking about taking them off, but I need to get some votes from others, whether they want that or not.
 
I will say its not hard to adjust the the manual. Anyways, I cant really enforce it since there's no regulation that forces someone to use manual?

we can see if he uses automatic or ABS

he instantly looses 10 grid positions at the end if he does break the regulation which means he wont be scoring any points.

for every race I am willing to watch every replay on every person to make it as realistic as possible.

its very easy to find someone to watch the race while we race.


1st - 25p , 2nd - 18p , 3rd - 15p , 4th - 12p , 5th - 9p , 6th- 6p , 7th , 3p
 
Okay, so Golfer and Reventon both want ABS and auto Trans off. I'll give it a try.
 
But im used to drive with ABS 1.

For me in GT5 If I take ABS off it feels like the brake pedal is and on/off switch there is simply not enough travel in the pedal to dose the brake.

Im not worryed about AT, I dident even know it was allowed. But its pretty much standard to use ABS 1 in GT 5.

Also IM not and expert, but i thought real F 1 cars, must surely have ABS ?
 
lower the brake bias alot. I don't use ABS = 0 much but in the FGT, X1 and F10 its easy to avoid lock up so I use ABS = 0. Btw it looks like you found yourself a steward, Rich

nope they dont have ABS since 1990


the new 2011 pirelli slicks locks up a lot more on the 2011 cars for 2011 f1 season

the 2010 season had bridgestones slicks on it , it did lock but not as much as now for 2011

in 2007 they had groove tyres which even locked just like the 2011 cars now
 
the reason the pirelli tyres lock alot is because they wear down alot. Less grip = more locking up. Btw who else thinks that Pirelli has a joke of a system for working out which tyre is which. When the car is driving they all look the same. Bridgestone had the best system by far
 
The new tires F1 has are all F-d up. The wear rate is much more rapid. It will be interesting to see if that favors somebody who's easier on tires besides Vettel or Webber. I would think the new supplier (Pirelli) will get some development in with the tire and it will get better in future years? Dont know how stringent the FIA regulations are on the tires.

I've been practicing with no assists in the F2007, to keep it realistic. I also vote for no assists

I''ll open the room up around 6:00 PM GMT. I think thats around 2:00 PM EST.

1.) NO dive bomb passing.
2.) Corner rights
3.) No corner cutting

No penalties....light damage.....Replay saved. Add me as a friend and I'll try to add those who dont friend me before I open the room.

Really pi$$ed about this guy in a X2010 room....just shaking....but tommorow will be fun. Just for fun.

Can you get back to me on when the race will start as I have to let people in to my house at 7.15PM GMT / 4.15PM EST.
Btw i discorvered that Rome has a pitlane which would make it even more challenging than monaco if we use it as a track

The problem for me is that the race will be on at 6AM my time, and i'm usually wake up then.

I'd prefer it if we could use ABS and automatic transmission. It's easy for wheel users to say no assists but DS3 users have a lot to deal with in such a small space.
 
can we start at 7.30 pm GMT please.Btw dont use cape ring as you are likely to spin the F10 on the loop if you use DS3

After I let the people in the house. Man i've had better reasons for not being on time but that sounds rubish. The people are my family as well. Sounds so strange. Very funny. Imagine that at the Malaysian GP. Sorry we will have to delay the race as Sebastien Vettel has had to pop home to let some people in.

Anyway I'm looking forwards to this. You hear about Sauber?

Yes! The new colour system really got on my proverbial! Pirelli need to change to bridgestone's band system for the slicks last year. Am really liking the increased tyre degradation though. Can only be a good thing for entertainment value.
 
I agree, a coulored strip would be much better, really enjoyed the tire wear in the race though
